In this Au the Hamato Clan is part of the Jedi Republic.
The first of Hamato Clan to Join the protectors of the Galaxy was Oroku Hamato Karai, daughter of one of the lost twenty Oroku Saki, whose master was none other than Jedi Grandmaster Yoda and was the one who trained and guided many generations of Jedi's with Yoda before her death at the ripe age 112.
However that was over 500 years ago so the next Hamato to step in line was one of her great descendents Hamato Yoshi nicknamed Splinter, and was born a rat/human hybrid and ironically as he reached his mid to late forties he, was almost the same size Yoda but bigger.
This would be Splinter robe as a Jedi.
Splinter trained alongside Obi-Wan Kenobi and Baron Draxum with their master at the time Qui-Gon Jinn before he was killed by Darth Maul which would be the reason why both Dooku and Draxum leaves the Jedi Order and the republic.
Based on Star Wars lore, the color of one’s lightsaber speaks volumes to what kind of force-user they are.
A Sith depends on anger and hatred to power them, so their lightsabers are universally red while the Jedi have a bit more variations.
A Jedi who is more force-sensitive would wield a green lightsaber, while one who is more skilled in combat would have a blue one.
For those who study both the light and dark side of the force, they wield a purple lightsaber which was first introduced by Mace Windu in the Star Wars prequel trilogy.
While Splinter’s hypothetical lightsaber color may seem obvious to some, he has shown evidence throughout his fictional lifetime that would indicate his lightsaber would be a color that some may find surprising.
Splinter would have been tapping into the light of the force based on his own description of what drives him in battle.
Meaning Splinter would wield a Green lightsaber as a Jedi.
Like Anakin himself Splinter would've most likely hidden his secret relationship with his Turtle Yokai wife Tang Shen whom hailed from Alderaan, was a childhood friend of his before he was sent away to train under Qui-Gon Jinn.
And boy it was super hard to try to make sure that no one found out that he has children that look way too much like him and Shen!!!
So when Splinter found out about Anakin's love for Padme he supported him all the way and kept it a secret much like Obi-Wan did for him when he found out about him and Shen, which wasn't much of a surprise when he thought about it I mean heack Splinter still teases him about Satine.
Leo, Donnie, Raph, Mikey, April, Casey, and Ahsoka would've had a brother/sister family relationship as they would have been trained together in the force like the other Padawans.
However Leo himself would have had a crush on Ahsoka much to his brother's teasing but Leo still has to be reminded the Jedi code forbids attachments, but that didn't stop his father from being with his mother otherwise he and his brother's wouldn't have been born.
Leo would obviously have a blue lightsaber due to mostly being skilled in combat while Donnie would upgrade his staff to have a lightsaber crystal in it, that way he wouldn't have to replace it.
Raph would also have a blue lightsaber but Mikey on the other hand would have a Green one due to being more force sensitive like their father.
oh and they would wear jedi clothing even though they have shells, they still would be considered naked if they didn't.
When Splinter's not around Michelangelo's master would most likely be Yoda since Mikey's force signature is very similar to his.
Leo and Donnie's master would be Obi Wan Kenobi which in his point of view, Kenobi would be hoping that Leo wouldn't be like his previous padawan Anakin.
(Spoilers, he's even worse than Anakin much to his dismay and is very much like his father, at least with Donatello it wasn't so bad.)
Raphael trains with Anakin and Rex since he sees the two of them as masters, even if Rex never thought of it.
April mostly trains with Master Bilaba and Caleb whom she treats as him like a little brother, while Casey trains with Plo-Koon.
However, the frightening part is that one of the two Hamato brothers have the potential to end up using the power of the dark side.
