A warm sunlight shines through the windows reaching Floyd's eyes. Both of his eyelids slowly open themself, he still feels sluggish and snuggling in his bed. His bed feels so comfortable as if it sucked him to not waking up.
Floyd heard a sizzling noise from the kitchen. The teakettle started to whistle, indicating the water already boiled. "Hmm... Hmm..." Then, he heard gentle humming coming from a beloved person Floyd ever knew. Sweet smell filled the air and Floyd guessed what Jade had been cooking.
Few minutes later, small footsteps came towards Floyd's bed. Floyd quickly closed his eyes, pretending he was still asleep. Jade chuckles, he knew his brother already woke up. He comes closer to Floyd and gives a soft peck on Floyd's cheek, "Morning, my baby."
Floyd immediately opened his eyes and smiled cheerfully, "Jade! Good morning!" He holds Jade's face and planted a soft kiss on his lips. Jade gladly returns the kiss too.
Whispering cute pet names to each other, caressing gently every body part, soft kisses they shared... Their forbidden love they couldn't show to the public, made them more affectionate inside their safe little apartment.
"Oya, you already woke up." His lips formed a warm smile. "Come on, let's have breakfast, Floyd."
"Mmm... I don't want to get out of bed, Jade~" Floyd back to snuggling with his blanket. Jade silently squeals in his heart looking at how adorable Floyd warped himself in a blanket like a big burrito. How can his twin be this cute?
"Okay, then..."
Suddenly, Jade lifted up Floyd's body from his blanket. He holds Floyd with bridal style. Floyd is a bit surprised yet he doesn't mind being carried like a princess.
"Hehe I feel like I'm a princess!" Floyd giggled and wrapped his arms around Jade's neck. He loves being pampered like this by Jade.
"Of course you're my princess, Floyd." Jade kissed his cheek. Floyd nuzzles into his arms, enjoying Jade carrying him.
He's carrying Floyd to their dining table. Jade put down his lovely twin on the chair and he sat across from him. On the table, there were already a few plates with foods he made for both of them.
"I made you pancakes. I hope you like it, Floyd." Both of them can cook well, but Jade thinks Floyd is much better than him for everything they've done. Floyd is such a genius and he's so proud of him.
"Thanks, darling! Let's dig in!" Floyd enthusiastically sliced his pancake and munched it. The pancake texture is fluffy with vanilla aroma inside. He can taste melted cheese on the pancake and bittersweet of the strawberry Jade put on the top.
"Mmm! It's so delicious Jade, I love it!"
"Ah, thanks for your compliment, Floyd. I'm happy you like it."
"Jade, open your mouth! I will feed you~"
"Fufu of course."
Jade opens his mouth wide and Floyd inserts his spoon with a slice of pancake onto his mouth. "Tasty, right?"
He already knows the pancake taste, but with Floyd's bright smile, it feels like the pancakes taste sweeter than before. "Yes, it does, sweetheart."
After feeding each other with pancakes, Jade and Floyd silently enjoy their drink. Jade made chamomile tea for himself and Floyd with warm vanilla milk. Birds chirping on the outside as their company to enjoy this warm morning.
"Where do you want to spend time with me today, Floyd?" Jade utters.
Jade and Floyd are twenty two years old now. They entered university together with different majors. Both of them work under Azul restaurant business as waiters. They have hectic schedules, so when they get spare time like this, they make sure to spend it as long as they can.
"How about going to an amusement park?"
"That would be nice, let's take a bath then."
Floyd nodded. After they finished their breakfast, they took a bath together and argued a bit. Floyd wants to use bath bomb on the bathtub, playing with colorful bubbles and his toys collection, but if Jade allowed him, at least it took three hours for Floyd in the bathtub. Floyd kept pouting when he took a shower. As much as Jade wants to tease Floyd because he looks so adorable when gets mad, he reminds himself not to do it. If Floyd's moods worsen, he'll cancel their date altogether.
Jade cupped his hands around Floyd's face and smiled earnestly. "My baby, I'm sorry, okay?"
He stared at Floyd's mismatched iris with a soft gaze and pleaded silently. Floyd couldn't stay angry that long when Jade was staring at him full of love. And his twin is always strikingly handsome no matter what.
"Hmph, you better make takoyaki for me tomorrow."
Jade is relieved that Floyd isn't angry anymore. "I will, honey." Jade gives a quick peck on his cheek. "Now, let's go to dress up and spend our short Saturday together."
They go back to their bedroom and dress up nicely. Eel twins attire are mostly casual. Jade wears black cardigan with white shirt and light brown jeans while Floyd wears an oversized baby pink hoodie with ripped gray jeans. For the accessory, on Jade's right hand, he wears his black wristwatch. Floyd puts small octopus and eel shaped hairpins he made himself on his turquoise hair.
The amusement park isn't far from their apartment, hence they walk together on the way there. Floyd linked his arm around Jade's right hand tightly, as if Jade would escape from Floyd. Jade adores Floyd's clingy demeanor towards him, it feels nice knowing he only does this to Jade and no one else. Some people gave questionable glares to them but they ignored anyone passing them and just focused on each other. As usual, Floyd is the most talkative one and he rambles about his major. Jade attentively listens to his twin and responds with sympathetic words.
Few minutes have passed, and they arrive at the amusement park. On weekends, the park is already crowded with various people. Jade usually planned what attractions they should try first, but he mostly followed what Floyd wanted to try.
First, the twins took a picture with a calico cat mascot for the amusement park. They have a bit of difficulty taking a picture because they're taller than the average person. Next, Floyd plays a shooting game. The rule is whoever could shoot ten empty cans continuously will get a prize that is a big polar bear plushie and as expected, Floyd won it easily even without using any magic spell.
"Look, Jade! A polar bear!" Floyd beaming with pure bliss and hugging the big polar bear plushie. The plushie even covered Floyd's face when he carried it.
"Yes, it is indeed a big one." Jade expressed his genuine warm smile for Floyd. He loves seeing Floyd filled with so much happiness.
"Between me and the plushie, which one is the cutest?"
"Of course, it's you, Floyd." Jade answered it without any hesitation. Nothing can be compared to Floyd's cuteness. His twin is the cutest in the world anyway!
Floyd giggles knowing how much Jade loves him. "I know, right?" To not make it tedious, Floyd used his magic spell to transform the polar bear plushie smaller and could fit into his pocket.
The lech twins bought a matching bunny bandanna and took a selfie together. And they changed their LINE profile picture at the same time.
After taking a few walks, Floyd found a haunted attraction and decided to try it. Jade is intrigued too. Is the haunted attraction more scarier than they made it on Octavinelle back then?
The twins get out from the haunted attraction very quickly. Both of them are disappointed and not showing the slightest fear on their face.
"The house is boring~ Our haunted house is much better."
"I agree, Azul's wrath is even scarier than the ghosts on there."
Floyd laughs. "He'll cut your wages if he ever heard this."
"Please, anything more than that."
Later, they try to ride the carousel. Deep inside Jade's heart, he felt embarrassed that they're the only adults riding a carousel filled with little kids but he won't say it out loud for Floyd.
They continue their date by riding a roller coaster. It was fun until Jade's body was trembling all over the place after they rode the roller coaster. If Floyd doesn't hold hands with Jade, he can't even notice Jade was trembling like this.
"Why are you not telling me that you're afraid of roller coasters?"
"I... I don't want to ruin our date..." Jade muttered it under his breath.
Jade thinks it's totally fine to confront his fear as long as Floyd is happy. He doesn't want Floyd's smile to disappear on this beautiful day, especially since they rarely spend time together like this.
Floyd looked at him with a concerned expression. "Jade, wait for me here."
"... alright." Jade sits on the bench as Floyd demands him to be. And Floyd walks out from him without telling where he's going.
Jade wants to ask him where he's going, but he doesn't want to sound desperate. It has been more than twenty minutes and Floyd hasn't come back to Jade. Jade becomes slightly anxious. Does Floyd find his fear of roller coasters as lame? What if something happened to Floyd? Floyd is strong guy but what if someone hurts him badly-
"Jade!"
Floyd walks slowly towards him bringing two fluffy big cotton candy. One is a blue rabbit and the other is a pink rabbit.
"I bought you cotton candy!"
Jade's face went surprised. "For me?"
"Yeah, duh. Here, I bought you a blue one."
Jade's face went lightened up to see the big blue rabbit cotton candy. "Thank you, Floyd." He grabbed the cotton candy from Floyd and started chewing it. The cotton candy melted on his mouth and spread bubble gum flavor inside his mouth. It's a bit sticky but he enjoys it nonetheless.
Floyd also consumed his cotton candy at his own pace. He is still looking up to Jade to make sure his body isn't trembling anymore. "Are you feeling better now?"
Floyd isn't good for showing his sympathy with words. He often ended up being blunt and even Jade sometimes argued with him. So, he rather consolidates Jade through actions than words. And Floyd thinks sweets could make Jade calm down.
"I feel better now, thank you Floyd."
Jade leaned on Floyd's shoulder while eating his cotton candy. The way Floyd cherished him in his own way... Each day, Jade becomes more smitten for Floyd.
Floyd stroked his head lightly. "Do you want me to buy you other foods?"
"Are you sure?"
Jade's question doesn't mean to underestimate Floyd's offer, both of them know how gluttonous his appetite is and it's a threat for anyone's wallet, even for Floyd.
"Uhh... I'll limit it to... Eight variants. More than that, you buy it yourself."
"Thank you, it was more than enough."
Floyd bought any foods Jade wanted to eat. He strictly only buys him eight variants. And Jade still buys more food with his own money. No matter how long they've been together, Floyd still is not used to seeing Jade swallow more than eight foods all by himself.
Jade looks at the sky and the sun almost goes down. The amusement park also announced they'll be closed in one hour. "Do you want to try something else, Floyd?"
"Nah, I'm good. How about you?"
"Honestly, I want to try the ferris wheel..."
"Aren't you scared of heights? I don't want you forcing yourself again."
"I think the ferris wheel is safer than a roller coaster, so... I'll be fine."
Floyd is a bit perplexed about this, but Jade is always going along with any attractions he wants to try. If anything harms Jade, he'll make sure to protect him. "Alright, let's go there."
So they lined up to the ferris wheel. Jade read the dating article and it said, it'll be so romantic being together with your partner in the ferris wheel.
Yeah... Sure. Romantic.
Jade flinched every time the wheel went up. After the third row, Jade completely closed his eyes to not see anything on the wheel window. It isn't as bad as a rollercoaster, but he is still afraid to look out the window.
"Is... Is the wheel finished?"
"Not yet... There are still five more rows." Floyd sighed. "I told you not to force yourself."
"Sorry..."
"Nah it's okay."
Jade's voice is a bit wavering. "Are you... Disappointed to me?"
"Huh, no way! Why should I?"
"I mean... I'm not as brave as you..."
Floyd went silent and Jade became anxious to open his eyes to see Floyd's disappointed expression. Jade heard creaking sounds and flinched, then he realized Floyd moved to sit beside him.
Then, Floyd cupped his hands on Jade's face. Jade can feel Floyd warmth radiating on his cheeks without opening his eyes. Floyd slowly got closer to Jade's face and locked their lips. At the same time, there are fireworks launched near the ferris wheel.
Jade eyes went wide open. He can see Floyd's face softened while savoring his lips. Jade focused on how pretty those long eyelashes Floyd has. Floyd starts blinking and breaks the kiss. The kiss was short yet so tender. It gives Jade such warm fuzzies inside.
"Aha, you open your eyes!" Floyd gleefully announced it. "Look, Jade, fireworks!"
Jade looked out of the window and realized they're on the top rows. He is stunned by the colorful fireworks that have been launched. Floyd too, enjoying the sight together with him.
"Isn't it beautiful?" Floyd keeps staring at the window to look at the fireworks.
Jade briefly switched his gaze to Floyd. The sight of his lover with a bright smile, unaware of Jade staring at him with a content expression.
"Yes it is."
After their ferris wheel journey is finished, they leave the amusement park. Now, the sun can't be seen and replaced with a crescent moon in the sky. Soft breeze brushes their hair as they walk together.
Jade takes a look at his watch, the time is 7.30 pm. He thinks it's too early to go back to their apartment. He wants to spend more time with Floyd to the fullest.
"Do you already feel tired, Floyd?"
"Hmm, no. Why?"
"How about we go to swim on the lake?"
Unsurprisingly, Floyd is excited to hear Jade's suggestion. He felt the same, he doesn't want to go to their apartment yet. "Of course, let's go!"
Jade holds Floyd's left hand tightly and runs to the lake. He can't barely contain his excitement to swim together. It's strange they were born on the deep sea, but now they rarely ever swim. The lake is desolate and surrounded by few trees. People rarely come to the lake and without a doubt the lake is clean as well. It took two kilometers to go there by walking.
The reason Jade ran together with Floyd to the lake so they can replenish their energy by swimming. When Jade's eyes caught sight of the lake, he shouted to Floyd. "Floyd, here we are!"
Floyd hurriedly took off his clothes and jumped to the lake. He also changed his form into merman and swam around. "Come on, Jade! Join me!"
Jade takes off his clothes and casts a protection magic spell for his and Floyd's clothes, so no one can steal it. He jumped into the lake, changed his form and got closer with Floyd.
They're swimming together in their merman form. Splashing waters to each other, laughing with all of their heart content, and giving a trail of kisses on their slick bodies. This lake is the second place they can shower their blossoming love and neverending affection without judgment from unbearable society.
Jade looks up at the sky, there are countless stars twinkling in the distance. He's mesmerized by the sight of sparkling stars in the sky.
"The stars are so beautiful..." He whispers as he still focuses on the sky.
"You're beautiful too, Jade!" Floyd caresses Jade's face gently and stares at him with twinkled eyes.
He chuckles. "Why, thank you Floyd. I'm flattered." Jade kisses Floyd's forehead and hugs him tightly.
They spend their night swimming in the lake and go deeper to find anything interesting. The eel pairs mostly found catfish and some smaller fish.
Around two hours have passed, Floyd's mouth opens wide and yawns. "Fuahhh can we go back, Jade?"
"Sure. Do you want me to piggyback you?"
"It took two kilometers to walk here to the apartment, no way you can endure to piggyback me that long." Floyd rubs his eyes, getting more drowsy. "Cast the teleportation spell, Jade."
"I feel sad that you rejected my humble offer...." Jade fakes his sadness for teasing Floyd but he prepares to cast teleportation spells for both of them. He doesn't forget to quickly dress them up using magic spells too.
It took only ten minutes for the teleportation spell to send them back to their apartment. Upon arriving at their apartment, Floyd almost falls to the floor due to his drowsiness.
Jade chuckled and piggy backed him to their bedroom. He slowly puts Floyd down on the bed and he's already fallen asleep. Jade wants to change their clothes but he's too tired. He sleeps on Floyd's right side, tucks their blanket and kisses on Floyd's forehead softly and turns off the light.
"Goodnight, my love."
