Summary
The story begins with a frantic trip to London in an attempt to save an old friend. Upon return, the healing must begin. Anne must face demons from her past and present while doing her best to build a new life and family with Ann Walker. Ann struggles to run her new school, and to contend with the Tribe, Anne's jealousy, and her own past traumas.
Anne and Tib must solve the mystery of a tragic death from their teenage years, in order to stop a growing terror in Halifax. Meanwhile, Lord Mabely's monopoly on business threatens the status quo in West Yorkshire.
