College.
It seems like the last thing you want to think about when the world is ending.Before all of this started, Nancy was sure what we she wanted to in the future.
Nancy wanted to be a reporter.She wants to go to Emerson College with her boyfriend, Jonathan, live in a small apartment in a city like New York, and no kids at all.
But, she was too blind to see that Jonathan was having problems.Nancy should’ve known when the topic college comes up, he would always seem nervous and try to change the subject.
Of course, Jonathan would be worried.His brother was missing in another dimension for god’s sake!Then he gets possessed, and even after they get the Mind Flayer out of him, he is still connected.
It’s was obvious that the Upside Down would come back.They have been fighting it for three years!
When Jonathan told Nancy about all the things he is worried about, she starts thinking.
She should be worried about Mike and her family getting abducted by another dimension.She should be worried about something happening to them while she’s away at college.
Maybe, Nancy doesn’t want to go to college just yet.All her life, Nancy’s been running from a life she doesn’t want.But the life she going to right now, is that what she really wants?
Nancy still figuring herself out.Sure, she got the man of her dreams.And sure, she has a supportive family and friends.
But, there is still some stuff Nancy needs to figure out about herself.What she likes and don’t like.What other hobbies she likes because obviously she can’t be shooting guns forever.
Maybe, Nancy doesn’t need to go straight to college.Who likes to sit around in a classroom all day after fighting monsters a few years ago.
She will still become a reporter.That will always be a dream career.But, maybe she needs some time for herself before jumping into her career.
All she knows that she has a supportive boyfriend, family, and friends.Her parents will be a little disappointed but they will still support her.
But, if Nancy even wants to get to college, they need to stop Vecna first.
