"Ahhhh!"
Sky would deny everyone that he almost jumped at the loud, almost inhuman scream. In fact, he was almost worried for a second, before he realized it was just Rain... brooding about something? Confused, he gingerly entered the classroom and walked up to his best friend, who pouted up at him.
"Skyyyy! How do I find time?"
"Time? Time for what?" he questioned. "Rain, you should really be working on that project, the deadline is coming up..."
"Time for this!"
As always, instead of listening to him, Rain did as he always did - only listen to himself. Still, it didn't stop Sky's eyes from widening when he saw what the other wrote on the board in English. He stared at letters for a moment before turning to look at his best friend, just slightly shocked he will have you know.
"Him?"
Rain simply nodded before his eyes narrowed... on something on his neck? Sky gasped and quickly covered the stupid hickeys with his hands - he warned P'Prapai to at least leave them somewhere where his shirt covered them but no! - yet it was too late, the damage already done. His best friend pointed the chalk at him and asked in an extremely pointed way.
"Says Mr. Hickeys for the entire world to see?"
"I was hoping you wouldn't notice them..." Sky grumbled as Rain shook his head. "... that still doesn't answer my question. Don't you like Ple?"
"Oh good, I was wondering if you were going to go on about how the weather is nice today or something equally stupid." Rain rolled his eyes, turning to look at what he wrote. "Ple...? I do... I think?" he felt like it would be possibly wrong to tell his friend that in the last few weeks, Ple barely crossed his mind beyond their usual friendly interactions. If she walked up to him now and tried to ask him out, a part of Rain felt like he would decline. "I don't know... I'm lost."
"Does that have to do with the 'him' we are talking about here?" Sky asked, taking the chalk from him to write out step 1. He wanted to tease the other a bit but still help, of course. "Look, Rain... I didn't want to make guesses because I didn't want you to be angry with me, but this 'him'... it's P'Phayu, isn't it? This has been on my mind for the last few weeks and well..."
"I'm not confessing anything here until you tell me who the mystery person behind the hickeys is!"
Sighing, Sky put the chalk away before facing Rain once more.
"I doubt you know him..."
"Try me?"
"It's.... P'Prapai."
"Wait, I think I know that name!" Rain frowned. "Isn't that P'Phayu's best friend? Skyyyy! Don't tell me we became such a cliche!"
And yep, there was the best friend he knew and loved. Laughing as the other man pouted at him, he simply pointed at what he wrote with one finger.
"Anyway, whatever I'm right about it being him or not, this is what you should start doing..."
"... right. Mission start!"
Really, Sky felt like he should be worried about his best friend - it felt like sending an innocent rabbit to be eaten by the big, bad wolf... perhaps he should ask P'Prapai about this, just in case? It wouldn't be nice to meddle too much but some concern was surely fine...
… not that he believed that P'Phayu would hurt Rain but better safe than sorry.
Facing the words once again as the other went on a tangent about his feelings for P'Phayu and Ple, Sky idly thought how not all men were like his ex.
For Rain's sake, he hoped his gut feeling was right.
