“Plane leaves in five hours, people! We need to go!” Dean said scurrying around the bunker, gathering the last few things they might – but likely wouldn’t – need for their trip. “Sammy?!”
“Right here, Dean.” The younger brother sighed, joining Dean in the map room and adding his, Eileen’s, and Little Dean’s luggage to the pile. “Please stop yelling.” His eyes were drooping and there were dark circles beneath them. Eileen sluggishly appeared behind him, looking equally as tired, and yawned. She handed over Little Dean who – after hours upon hours… upon hours of crying – was finally asleep.
Dean silently apologized and continued his raid of the bunker for those still missing. “Claire, Kaia!” He called as quietly loud as he could, knocking on their door. There was no answer and he frustratingly rolled his eyes and turned to leave.
“Rah!” Claire said, having snuck up behind him. Dean narrowed his eyes on her. He didn’t even so much as flinch. “Whatever.” She groaned and walked past him into her room to help Kaia with their bags.

Dean finally wrangled everyone out of the bunker, turned out the lights and locked the door.
He was surprisingly giddy the whole cab ride to the airport. He didn’t complain about the horrifically long TSA line, or even having to throw out his favorite aftershave for being considered ‘suspicious’. “I’ll buy more there.” He said with a shrug. He was practically bouncing with excitement while they lined up to board, humming some upbeat tune Sam was sure was not Metallica.
“Dude. Since when are you cool with flying?” He finally asked. “You were totally freaked out the last time.”
“So you are scared of something!” Claire said, happily.
“Nope.” Dean replied. “Used to be. Not anymore.”
They each handed the stewardess their tickets and filed into the plane towards their seats. “There’s no way you just got over a phobia. When was the last time you were even on a plane?” She pressed.
“2005.” Sam answered instead. “And he was so scared it rendered him completely useless in the exorcism. I’m with Claire on this, man, no way are you not at least a little freaked out.”
“We are about to spend four awesome weeks in Florida, Sam. On our first real family Vacation.” Dean said, turning in his seat to stare – not glare, because to Sam’s surprise Dean was still extremely calm – at both of them. “There’s gonna be beaches, all night bars, Disney World. Sam, we're going to Disney World … We’ve always wanted to go there! And it all leads up to me getting to marry the most amazing being in existence.” He looked over at Cas – who may or may not have already begun tearing up at that last part – and winked. “The last of my worries is this plane.”
“Well, damn. That was beautiful, Dean.”
“Oh god, shut up.”
Sam dabbed at pretend tears and sniffled. “I can’t believe it, but it looks like love really can fix everything. Even an extreme fear of flying.”
“You know what I can’t believe?” Cas interrupted. “They really made us buy a seat for Miracle.”
Everyone turned their attention to the dog; sitting in his window seat beside Jack looking out at the people prepping the runway.
“Well. I don’t buy it.” Claire retorted, bringing the conversation back to Dean. He shrugged as the Captain came over the speaker instructing them to buckle their seat belts.

Kansas to Florida is only about an hour and a half flight. Not even long enough to watch a feature length movie. But long enough to experience a massive storm, complete with a terrifying lightning strike, and multiple turbulence; the last of which resulted in the plane dropping 4000 feet midair.
“Never again.” Claire said shakily stepping off the runway, thankful to be back on land. “I’ll take a bus back.”
“I second that idea.” Sam said, collapsing into the nearest seat.
“Oh come on. It wasn’t that bad.” Dean laughed at the discombobulated group. “Where’s all of you guy’s sense of adventure?”
“Where has yours suddenly come from?” Sam snapped back.
“Aw, come on Sammy. Don’t be mad that this time you were the one screaming like a little girl when the plane dropped.” Dean continued to laugh, and ruffled Sam’s hair as he walked by.
“It’s infuriating, huh?” Claire said, once Dean was out of earshot. Sam sighed and finally let himself relax from the intense flight. “So… does this mean you’ll help me now?”
Sam thought for a moment, and despite Eileen having told him not to get involved in Claire’s little escapade to scare Dean, the younger brother finally agreed.
