Cdisctober prompts day 4

Summary:

Cdisctober day 4

Prompt: The key.

Tommy has to set of the alarm of the prison so Wilbur can talk to Dream, but it doesn't go that easily.

Work Text:

Tommy was softly cursing to himself. Why did he have to set off the alarm in the prison to get Dream’s attention.
This was stupid. Only because Wilbur wanted to talk to the fucker. Tommy finally found a part of the alarm system. He was about to break it with a stone when he saw a key card on the ground. Slowly he picked it up. “Warden’s key card.”
Tommy almost screamed. Was this the real card? The actual card that gave access to the whole prison?
“Tommy, can you find the alarm?” Wilbur yelled. Oh, yeah. The alarm. Tommy hit the alarm. Immediately sirens started blasting. Tommy was about to run back to Wilbur when he noticed the door had closed. “Wilbur! I can’t get out! Help me! The door closed!” Tommy yelled.

“Well, well, well. Is that a little lost Tommy I see there?”
Tommy stiffened. Oh no… Oh no, no, no! As fast as possible he turned around to face Dream. Never turn you back on a monster, Phil once said.
“Dream.” Tommy said, while he stared at the ground.
“Greetings Tommy. May I ask what you are doing here?”
“Not- nothing Dream. It’s a miscommunication. I promise. I will just leave.”
Dream grabbed Tommy’s arm. “But I can not just let you leave. You see, there are camera’s in this room and they just so happened to pick up that you picked something up that belongs to me.”

Tommy shook his head. “I don’t have anything.”
“Tommy, I know you have the key card.” Dream said with a sigh.
“Key card, what key card? I am locked in here, so that means I don’t have a key card.”
“Tommy, you have it. You just don’t know how to use it. That’s why you are still locked in here with me.” Dream slowly stalked a little closer to Tommy.
“St- stay back.” Tommy said, as he put his hands up in front of him.
“Give me the key and I will let you go.” Dream said.
“Alright, I have the key card. I will look where I put it okay.” Tommy searched through his pockets and eventually found it. He extended it to Dream.
“Here, please let me go now…” Tommy begged.
Dream chuckled. “How about I show you how the key card works? Come over here.”
Dream walked towards the big vault door.
“I don’t want to…” Tommy said.
“Tommy.” Dream hissed back.
Tommy quickly trotted up next to Dream. “I am sorry.”

Dream inserted the key card in the card reader and flipped the switch. “See, it isn’t that difficult. One more demonstration okay.”
Dream took the key card out of the reader and pulled Tommy along to the first row of cells. Dream placed the key card in one of the readers and opened the door of the cell. He shoved Tommy inside and quickly closed the door.
“See, easy as that. Have fun there. I have to talk to Wilbur. Bye.” Dream quickly turned around and left, leaving Tommy alone in the prison cell.
