Tommy was dreading the moment Dream would come again.
He would take his stuff again. He always does. Tommy had saved up some expensive stuff and soon it would be gone again.
He was so deep in thought that he didn’t notice Dream walked up behind him.
“How are you doing today, Tommy?” Dream asked.
“Oh, hello, Dream. I am doing okay, I guess.”
“You don’t look to happy. Are you sure, you’re okay?” Dream wondered.
“I don’t want my stuff do be blown up.” Tommy whispered.
“What was that? I can’t hear you.”
“I don’t want my stuff to be blown up.” Tommy repeated a bit louder.
Dream laughed.
“Really, that’s it? You know what. You can keep it today. And I also have another gift for you.”
Tommy’s eyes lit up. “You have a gift for me?”
Dream nodded. “Let me get it.” He quickly summoned a trident from his inventory. “This is for you Tommy. You can have it the entire day and play around with it.”
Tommy looked at Dream. “You must be kidding.”
“No, go on. Take it.” Dream said as he held the trident out towards Tommy.
Tommy took the trident. “I don’t know how to use this, though.”
“You don’t know how to use a trident?” Dream asked confused
Tommy shook his head. “No, I never had a trident.”
Dream summoned his own trident. “I will show you.”
Slowly Dream walked into the water on shore. “Come stand next to me, Tommy.”
Tommy joined Dream and looked at Dream.
“First you make sure you feel the water, alright. If your correct, you should feel it through your arm and in the trident. Do you feel it?” Dream explained.
Tommy took a better stance in the water and eventually nodded. “I think I feel it now.”
Dream smiled. “Good. Now you put your arm back, like throwing a spear and then you throw the trident but keep holding on to it. Do you understand?”
Tommy slowly shook his head.
“Alright, just watch okay.” Dream pulled the trident back and then pushed it forward in the air, the trident pulling him up into the air. Dream gracefully landed a bit further in the water.
“Just like that.” Dream said.
Tommy nodded and tried it himself. To his shock the trident lifted him up a bit and he landed a bit away in the water.
“You did it, Tommy!” Dream said. “Now, you can try to do a throw in the air.” Dream pushed himself into the air with the trident and while in the air, he threw the trident another time causing him to fly up higher. Dream landed in the water again. “Try it.”
Tommy followed what Dream did. And it actually worked. He could fly. Tommy went higher and higher. He was free.
“Tommy! Don’t go to high! You will fall.” Dream yelled. Tommy looked at the snow around him. He tried to throw the trident again but felt the power falter. He was falling. He was gonna hit the ground. And he couldn’t stop it.
Tommy was screaming. He was gonna die.
He closed his eyes and waited for the impact. But it never came. Well, he hit something. But not the ground. He opened his eyes. He was on slime blocks; they broke his fault. Dream was standing next to him, looking concerned.
“Are you okay? I was so scared, Tommy.”
“I think I am okay. Thank you Dream.” Tommy said.
“You can try again later with the trident. For now, let’s rest.” Dream suggested.
