"Marry me"
Many things had changed since the day Amity decided to say yes to dating her human girlfriend 2 years ago. However with those changes came instances where the young girl had to deal with Luz's spontaneous actions and comments. But to say she was used to it would be an understatement..since nothing had really prepared her for what had just come out of her girlfriends mouth.. I mean don't get her wrong she loved her..but they were 16, and eating McDonald's at a local park. What part of this scenario had even compelled the girl to say that??
"Luz...what?" did the brunette witch finally reply trying not to choke on the fry she had unfortunately been caught in the midst of swallowing, as she sat herself straight up from her girlfriends lap. Wasting no time in facing her.
"Amity Blight, Marry me." Luz stated again, this time being more stern and direct to her blushing mess of a girlfriend.
"HUH? is this some type of human joke? " Amity replied making some sort of disturbed face as she gripped Luz's shoulders.
"..now why would I joke like that?" Her girlfriend replied with a small frown.
"Are you deadass right now?" She snapped back quickly, tightening her grip on her lover's shoulders.
"Yes. Amity let's get married."
What the fuck??? Was the only thing circulating in Amity's mind as of now. She was clearly on something because why was her girlfriend genuinely asking her to marry her?! At a local park.. With a McDonald's bag right next to her nonetheless.?? She wasn't even looking all that pretty either..
"Amity??"
Oh yeah. She hadn't said anything for the past minute..
"No." She finally replied with a sigh, letting go of her now shocked girlfriends shoulders quickly enveloped her into a tight hug.
"Wha-"
"Luz..I love you, I'm so glad you came into my life I would never change it for anything, but we're too young. Hell we haven't even figured out how to get the portal to work again.. Honestly I'd be lying if I said I don't want to marry you right now and keep you to myself forever...however we have forever to think about things like that...let's just take things slowly for now...Also I don't think proposing to me while I had a fry in my mouth was the best idea." Amity finally said as she broke her hug. Chuckling she slowly took her girlfriend's hand in hers leaving a soft kiss on it.
And then silence..no one said a word they just sat there staring at one another. Amity was starting to doubt if what she had said was the best thing to say as a blush started to slowly form on her face...that was until she swore she heard a snicker coming from Luz..
"..PFFT..HAHAHA!!!...s-sweet potato you're so darn cute I can't believe how lucky I am!" luz finally broke out as she lunged her body forward holding her stomach as she tried to contain her laughter.
"HUH???-" Amity finally snapped back her disturbed face once again being shown;full force this time.
"I mean you're so cute I can't- I can't even handle it sometimes!" Luz shouted once more, wiping the small tears that had formed from her laughter.
"B-but-....s..so it was a joke after all?!?" Amity finally stated as her voice broke a little.
"WOAH! Woah wait! No! It wasn't a joke I swear! I really do want to marry you!" Luz broke out as she tried comforting her girlfriend, guilt slowly coming over her.
"But then.. What's so funny ? I just shot you down..shouldn't you be.. I don't know, sad..?" Amity whispered
"I mean logically, yeah I should probably be sad..but I didn't mention WHEN we should get married. Just that we SHOULD get married..." Luz finally clarified as she took her girlfriends hands in hers and gave her the softest look anyone could ever receive.
Oh...OH. If Amity hadn't felt embarrassed before she sure as hell was feeling it right now. She quickly pulled away from Luz's hands as she hid her burning red face in them leaning forward so the top of her head rested on her girlfriend's stomach..
"Y..you...you little- you will pay for this." The brunette muttered.
"Hahah! You know you love me.." her girlfriend snapped back at her.
"In your dreams Noceda!" The witch lied
They stayed like that for a bit Luz slowly caressing Amity's hair to get her to not feel so embarrassed anymore. Eventually it worked as her girlfriend finally let her head up to look into her lover's beautiful eyes. Oh how she loved this view.
They would have stayed like that for much longer if Luz hadn't had a different thing on her mind. Slowly she reached into her pocket and took out what seemed to be a pink plastic ring. It looked like one of those rings you could get from a candy machine right outside their local grocery store. Luz slowly grabbing Amity's left hand as she spoke
"I'll ask you this one more time, I know we're young. And we still have so much to do, like figuring out how to get back to Everyone in the boiling Isles. But I want to spend every moment with you Amity. I'm not asking you to marry me right now or in the next few years...however I already made my choice. I want you in my life forever, so Amity Blight, will you be by my side until the day I can give you a real ring and truly say, marry me?"
Amity could practically hear her heart bursting through her chest. But she didn't care. Without warning she threw herself onto her girlfriend as she yelled out "YES! Yes!"
Luz yelped as Amity's weight had pulled them both backwards and stumbling down to the ground. But she didn't care, she was too busy quickly regaining Amity's left hand and slipping the ring onto her ring finger. The witch instantly bringing their lips together. Her girlfriend quickly melted into the kiss but soon, broken,by the laughter emitting from both girls. Their foreheads together, both lovers laid there holding one another just wishing they would never have to leave each other's hold, because no matter what the world would throw at them, they would always love each other in sickness and in health.
