Claire was awoken by the sound of a loud bang against something metal. She fluttered her eyes open, the bright beam from the light above making her squeeze them back tight.
“Looks like it's your lucky day, your old man just bailed you out.” The cop said through a mouth full of donut.
“Guess Jack decided to be the bearer of bad news after all.” Claire laughed and stretched. “Kaia, get up.”
When the blonde finally opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was Kaia laid out on the cot beside her; hair straightened, and held down by a bandana tied around her forehead. A round pair of rose colored sunglasses covered her still closed eyes, and as Claire’s eyes confusedly traveled along her girlfriends body she noted a cropped white tank top paired with flared out faded blue jeans. All in all one hundred percent not what Kaia was wearing when they entered the cell, and nothing like anything she would have ever worn anyway.
“What the…” Claire gasped and shook Kaia, waking her.
“Jeez, Claire, chill with all the shakin. I’m up.”
“Kaia! What are you wearing?” Claire looked down at herself and her panic intensified. “What am I wearing?!” She cried, looking down at the identical bell bottoms, and flowy multi-colored shirt.
“Claire.” Cas’ familiar voice called, giving her a moment of relief… until she turned to see the angel. It wasn’t the god-awful flower printed shirt he was wearing. Or the too tight brown corduroys. She might have even been able to look past his puffed out overly hair-sprayed curl-fro.
“What… the… heck… Is on your face.” She asked, staring in horror at the thick mustache that sat under Cas’ nose and trailed all the way down to his jawline.
Cas rolled his eyes. “Seriously man, you’re out here trippin’, getting in trouble with The Man, when we're supposed to be chillin’ on vacation. Now you're gonna come at me sideways, buggin’ out about my ‘stache. Not cool, Claire. Let’s go.”
Claire stared at him in shock. Partly because she didn’t think she had ever heard Cas say more than a few words at one time. But also because that was the most un-Cas thing she had ever heard come out of his mouth. Now she was sure she was dreaming. “You know what. Yeah. Let’s go.” She finally said, deciding not to question it anymore.
“I’ll catch you chicks on the flip side.” The cop said sarcastically, as he watched them walk by, and Claire had half a mind – since she was dreaming after all – to give him a good ol’ knuckle sandwich.
“Later putz.” Kaia replied, and shoved Claire out the door before she could add anything.

They entered the dream version of their hotel suite, and were greeted with the strong smell of… “Claire babe! We were so worried about you.” Sam said, staring up at her through hooded eyes. His hair was longer, much longer – halfway down his back in fact – and he and Eileen were wearing matching Peace Love & Music shirts.
“Oh. My. God.” She said, biting her jaws to stop from bursting into laughter. Little Dean began crying in the other room and Eileen quickly fanned away the smoke and went to their room. “Looks like you found use for my idea after all.” Claire joked. She was beginning to think maybe she had actually been drunk, because this dream was… strange, to say the least.
“Hello sunshine!” Dean said, coming from his and Cas’ room, and throwing his arm around the angel. His hair was longer also, about shoulder length with a few random strands braided, and flowers tucked into the braids. His tie dye button up shirt was unbuttoned almost all the way, and tucked into his cut off shorts. Claire stared at him for a moment. She couldn’t help herself, because the sight was unbelievably not Dean, though it apparently was according to her dream brain.
“I’ll be right back.” Claire said, excusing herself from the group of hippies. She hurried into the bathroom, collapsed against the sliding door and laughed until she thought she might pass out. She slid down to the floor and sighed, closing her eyes.
A loud knock from the other side of the door “Claire?” Kaia called. Claire stood up and opened the door. She looked at Kaia, confused. Her straightened hair was not curled, and the bandana was now a flower crown resting over pointed ears. Her glasses were gone and instead she had specks of glitter around each eye, making them pop and shine. “Are you ok? You look distressed.”
“Uh. Yeah — no — I’m… fine. I think?“ Claire said, allowing Kaia to step past her into the bathroom. “What the..?!” She gasped, staring at the sparkly almost translucent wings attached to Kaia’s back.
