Kind of the point of shooting his shot here, so Eddie keeps at it, sidesteps her just in case she’s got any ideas about heading back to her less-than-private study table. “What else do you want me to do, c’mon,” he says, wriggling his fingers, “gimme something dirty.”
Chrissy opens her mouth, shuts it, squints. She’s trying not to laugh, trying to figure him out, and just about hits him with the ultimate sucker-punch when she asks him, “Are you trying to seduce me?”
