Chapter Text

Gotham – June 23rd, 2010 – Late Afternoon

Ever since the Justice League formed, I had always imagined what it would be like to gain powers. I would usually choose flight, or super strength, or if I had seen a cool video of the Flash then I wanted superspeed. It was always fun to think about what I would do. Would I become a her like superman, fighting for Truth, and Justice, or would I be like Batman, a specter in the night, striking fear into the hearts of criminals in the city I defended? Turns out reality is often disappointing, but I’m getting ahead of myself.

Allow me to explain. My name is Daniel Thames, I just turned sixteen on June 21st. I am 5’10” 164 pounds, with shaggy blonde hair and bright blue eyes and I am a sophomore at Gotham City Academy.

Gotham City Academy is a school that catered to the upper class of Gotham, and the occasional scholarship student. It was so fancy that we had to wear specific uniforms, with detention if we deviated too far from the dress code. I was one of the scholarship students I mentioned, and I got in because of an essay I wrote when I applied before making the transition to high school.

Now normally, the richer parts of Gotham are fairly safe, with crime usually being punished and monitored harshly. The issue was I didn’t live in the rich part of town. I lived in the middle-class area, which was right next to the poor area and the industrial district. Meaning that it took me a thirty-minute walk through Gotham to get to and from school.

Today was a deviation from the norm. I had changed clothes to walk home, because I didn’t want to increase my chances of being mugged by looking fancy. I was wearing a grey beanie, blue plaid jacket, black pants and had my backpack hanging off one shoulder. I kept my eyes on the alleys and my hands in my pockets just to be on the safe side.

Everything was fine, until I hear the sirens, and the gunshots. I paused to listen and cursed when I realized that they were getting closer. I didn’t want to get shot, so after a quick check I ducked into an empty alleyway and hid inside a busted phone booth therein. I was actually surprised at how clean the phone booth was but ignored it in favor of listening for the sirens and gunshots to pass me by.

I could hear them approaching, the gunfire and occasional explosion growing louder and closer. I peeked my head out, to see what was happening when a black and white car sped by followed by several police cars and even that bat mobile.

However, my attention wasn’t on them. No, my attention was on the small glowing red orb that was bouncing toward me. You see, the person in the car that everyone was chasing? That was Two-Face, and instead of his signature tommy guns, he was wielding a futuristic grenade launcher, which he had fired into my alley as he was passing through.

I froze for a brief moment as I saw my life flash before my eyes before I snapped out of it and dived behind the only cover in the alley. The phone booth. I closed my eyes and curled in on myself, trying to protect my head and waited. I didn’t have to wait long as the grenade exploded, and my world went dark.

The Bleed – Unknown

I came to on a red couch. I wasn’t in any pain. In fact, I didn’t feel much of anything really. I opened my eyes and looked at my body, only to see the clothes I was wearing earlier. They were completely undamaged, I looked up and around and froze at what I saw. I was sitting on a blood red couch. The floor was a black shiny material, that reflected the red glow of the environment. There were not any walls around the platform, neither was there a ceiling. There was nothing beside my platform as far as the eye could see, and honestly it freaked me out.

“Hello!” I shouted, but there wasn’t an echo or even a hint that the sound of my voice traveled anywhere.

            There was no response.

I got up and walked around the edges of my platform, looking to see if there was anything below me, but I couldn’t see anything.

I don’t know how long I was there on that platform enduring the monotony of eternal nothingness, when I noticed a light appeared in the distance. My head snapped around to the source and I saw it in the distance, like a star in the sky.

I waited, unsure what to do when I noticed that the star was slowly getting bigger, almost as if it was approaching me. Oh shit! It was approaching me, and fast too! I ducked behind my couch, just like I did in the alley and waited. I didn’t close my eyes until the light approaching me got so bright even behind the couch.

Then the light disappeared, and I paused before peeking over the back of my couch. I was no longer alone. Seated, in a large blood red recliner was a man. He was tall, with black hair and a neatly trimmed beard. He was wearing a black suit, with a black shirt and a red tie. However, his most distracting feature was his wings. He had massive pure white wings that fluttered about and shone around him like a beacon.

“Well come on.” He said in a British accent, gesturing to me. “Up you get, you and I need to have a discussion.”

Seeing as he had wings and was apparently joining my on my little platform I decided to listen and quickly made my way around and sat down. He nodded before snapping his fingers and a small table appeared with a few small sandwiches and a few cans of soder cola.

“Please help yourself.” He said, while he grabbed a soder cola. “I know you’ve been here a bit and you must be famished.”

“Thanks.” I said cautiously before shrugging and grabbing both a drink and a sandwich. I quickly devoured them before asking. “I don’t mean to be rude, but who are you and can you help me get back out of here?”

“You’re welcome.” He answered before continuing. “My name is Lucifer Morningstar, and I can indeed help you out of here.”

“Morningstar as in the devil?” I asked confused. “Also where is here?”

“Yes indeed, although I’ve been on vacation for a while.” He said nonchalantly. “As to where we are, this is the Bleed. It is a dimension of nothing and everything. Where everything that could be, will be and everything that never was will be again.”

“Huh.” I said very intelligently. “So, you can put me back in my world.”

“Well… kind of.” He said waving his hand in a so-so gesture. “Beings don’t just take a trip through the bleed all willy nilly. You need a lot of power and a certain level of hierarchy to enter and leave on your own.”

“So, you can’t send me back?” I asked confused where he was going with his explanation.

“No, I can, there just have to be a few changes. To you.” He said startling me. “You see, you’ve been in the bleed for too long, and if I just put you back, you’ll explode, and the bleed will claim your universe.”

“But don’t you want that?” I asked curiously. “You’re the devil after all. Also, shouldn’t I be freaking out more than I am?”

“Well, freaking out requires your body to produce certain chemicals.” He said, looking slightly annoyed. “You don’t have a body anymore, so you don’t produce those chemicals.”

“What do you mean I don’t have a body?” I asked pulling my arms up and looking down at my body. “I think I would know I fi didn’t have a body!”

“No, you wouldn’t. How long have you been here?”

I thought about it for a moment, but I didn’t see any harm in telling him.

“Maybe a couple of hours?” I said hesitantly, not really sure.

“No friend, you’ve been her for about a millennium.” He said gently.

I froze at his statement. He must be wrong. There’s no way I’ve been here that long.

“There’s no way I’ve been here that long!” I shouted. “There must be some kind of mistake!”

“I’m afraid there isn’t.” He spoke. “I came as soon as you formed in here.”

            “Formed?”

“Right. Yes.” He spoke. “Because this is a realm of possibilities, then nothing and everything can exist here. Including people. Earlier I said that only sufficiently powerful beings can exist here and be okay. You were mortal and injured when you arrived. The Bleed erased you and then assimilated you. For some reason, the bleed decided that you were special, and you reformed here.”

“So how are you going to help me get back to my world?” I spoke.

“Well, there are some options for that.” He said before waving his hand and a tablet appeared. “I can’t remove your connection to the Bleed; however, I can weaken it to a point that it will slowly trickle into you. When it hits a random point, then it will automatically spend itself, almost like a charge in a battery. Once it does, some random bit of knowledge, skill, or item will be given to you. Ill also add this little space to your soul, so you can open it up and treat it like a personal reality for yourself. It’ll automatically update itself.”

“That all sounds great, but what is in it for you?” I asked skeptically.

“Well for one, I’m on vacation and I need some way to entertain myself.” He said while shrugging and tapping a few things on his tablet. “This will give me some entertainment, and I will be interested to see what you do with your new abilities.”

“Ok, it doesn’t really seem like there is much of a choice?” I agreed. “What about my body? You said you’ll have to make me a new one?”

“Ye sand there are two options for that.” He explained before showing me a tablet divided into two sections labeled one and two. “Option one, is I just remake your body as it was. Option two will give you a random benefit, but you’ll have a random appearance. Just because I’m a nice devil and all, ill alter history so no one knows different.”

“Does option two give me any special abilities?” I asked curiously. “Because that honestly sounds awesome.”

“Trust me it is.” He said with a smile. “So, what will it be? Ordinary wimpy body or random superpowered body?”

“I’ll take the superpowered body please.” I said firmly.

“Excellent, tap the screen for two and then roll the dice that appears on screen.” He instructed, handing me the tablet.

I took it and pressed the option for two, the screen flashed, and a dice appeared in place of the tablet in my hand. I quickly counted the sides. There were eighteen of them, but all of them were just symbols and not numbered. There was a flash and Lucifer was suddenly leaning on a table made of the same shiny black stone. He gestured to the table, and I shrugged and rolled the dice.

The dice rolled and bounced across the table. It looked like it would go off the table but seemed to hit an invisible barrier before coming to a stop. The symbol facing up looked like a pair of antlers and a small clover. I turned to look at Lucifer for an explanation.

“Huh, interesting. You rolled a druid.” He explained before grabbing the dice and transforming it into a tablet again. “I’m going to make some final revisions and then send you back. Have fun and may you live in interesting times.”

He smirked before tapping the tablet a final time and everything faded away into nothingness.

Gotham Alley Way – June 23rd - Evening

I woke to the feeling of wet sandpaper brushing my cheek. I opened my eyes to see that there was a cat, sitting on the ground and licking my face. It was almost enough to distract me from the migraine I had. I turned away from the impromptu bath to see that it was still day, so I hadn’t been gone long hopefully.

I slowly stood up and looked around. I was in an alley, but it didn’t look like it had been bombed. Was it all a dream? I turned and as I did, I saw something in the corner of my eye. I turned to try and see it, but I turned too fast and whatever it had smacked me in the fact. It didn’t hurt, but It did startle me a bit.

That quick turn set of another lance of pain in my skull, and I reached up and gently began to massage the sides of my head. However, I noticed immediately that my hair had changed. Instead of the short hair I remembered, I instead had long hair that I could feel came to just past my shoulders. It had even changed colors as well! My hair was no longer the dirty blonde it was before, but instead it was a stark white.

Lucifer said he was going to make changes, so I quickly ran my hands along my body, and froze when I got to my chest. Instead of what I expected, there were two small fleshy mounds. They were about the size of my hands, which when I looked down, I noticed that my hands were smaller and more delicate than I remembered.

I tried not to panic as I tested the only other place that would have changed if the worst had happened. I slipped my hand down into my pants and was confronted with the harsh reality that I wasn’t a guy anymore. I was a girl. The Devil turned me into a girl! I was starting to hyperventilate when I felt something touched my leg startling me.

I jumped and looked down. The cat that had woken me up was pawing at my leg, and when I looked down it meowed at me. The cat was all black, with yellow eyes and white front paws.

I leaned down to pet it.

“Hello.” I croaked out as I slowly petted the cat. “Who’s a good kitty.”

I sat down for a bit and just petted the cat until I could think that I was a girl without the panic associated with it. It took a bit, but eventually I was able to stay calm. I then remembered that I had stuff with me when I was blown up. I looked around the alley and aside from the various trash containers the only thing that stood out was a small business card sitting against the alley wall.

I gently deposited the cat onto the ground and got up and walked over and picked up the card.

The business card was in fact not white, but a dull silver. On one side, it said Lux in a large exaggerated golden script that seemed to glow slightly. The other said simply said Lucifer Morningstar the Devil. There was also a message written in red ink, or what I hoped was red ink. It said: Extend your hand and think of your Sanctuary. You’re welcome.

I shrugged and decided to do it. I raised my hand and focused on the concept of safety and home. I felt something like a switch flip in my mind and a doorway of light appeared in the middle of the alley.

“What do you think? Should I go in?” I asked the cat.

The cat simply looked at me and meowed.

“Right, I’m talking to a cat after making a deal with the devil and being turned into a girl.” I said before shrugging. “Whatever.”

I walked through the doorway and emerged into somewhere radically different. Instead of a dingy Gotham alley, I emerged into a small clearing in a forest. The whole area was covered in grass, with a path forming a cross in the middle of the room leading to four stone arches including the one I had just emerged from. The clearing was surrounded by trees that extended up forming a leafy canopy, where bits of light just barely shone through. Regardless it was as bright as if the sun was shining regardless of the canopy of leaves.

Each arch had a signpost in front of it. The sign to my right was labeled Benefactor’s Lounge. Directly in front of me was a sign that was labeled The Village. The sign to my left was labeled Guardians Greenhouse. I also noticed that there was a sign by the arch I had entered from labeled Entrance / Exit.

I walked back through the exit arch and was back in the alley and saw the cat sitting there staring at the glowing doorway. It looked up to me as if asking for permission before I waved at it, and it meowed and ran through the doorway. I followed it back into the four-arch room, which I was going to just call the Foyer.

I turned right and immediately went through the Benefactor door and was froze at what I saw. Gone was the nature theme, and instead it was like being inside what I imagined a high price club was like. It was spacious, with several tiered levels with a bar being the center point. Loud music pulsed throughout the room, with a strobe light pulsing in tune to the music.

However, the thing that froze me the most was the people. The floor was filled with people doing various things. Drinking, dancing, and grinding against each other to the music. I quickly made my way pushing through the crowd to the bar.

I was about to try and flag down the bartender to get some kind of help when an image popped into my head. It was a series of constellations, that slowly orbited around a large star. I knew that the star was meant to represent me, but I didn’t know what the constellations meant.

As I watched, the sun flared out to try and grab onto one of the constellations. It didn’t reach, and that energy returned to me causing my star to swell a little bit. If I focused on the star, I got the number one back. I was brought out of my thoughts and into the real world by a deep pleasant voice.

            “Welcome to the Lux Daniel.”

I turned towards the voice to see a large black man. He was bald, with a small goatee and he towered over me by at least a foot. I must have also shrunk when I turned into a girl as well. He smiled at me when I thought that, and he nodded.

“You did indeed shrink as you put it.” He said with a small chuckle, before grabbing a drink and sliding it down. “I assume you have questions from your encounter with my brother?”

“Yes... Wait! Lucifer is your brother?” I asked in shock.

“Indeed, he is my younger brother.” He said filling another order, before extending his hand. “My name is Amenadiel, and it is a pleasure to meet you.”

I hesitantly shook his hand, before my eyes widened as my smaller hand was swallowed by his relatively massive one. He let it go and let me gather my thoughts as he continued to get people drinks.

“What is this place?” I asked finally settling on the questions I wanted to ask.

“This is the Lux, a nightclub in Las Vegas.” He explained. “When you became attached to the bleed, you needed something to maintain that tether. This personal reality does that. This is simply so you can come in for a drink or for information.”

“So, I can just come in here and ask whatever I want?” I questioned incredulously.

“Sure, but if you spend all your time in here, you’ll never get anything done.” He spoke. “Would you be able to just sit here and drink for the rest of your life?”

“No, I wouldn’t.” I said, knowing it was true.

“Then go and explore the rest of your reality and then come back to me.” He instructed. “I’ve got some new clothes for you and some replacements from what was destroyed when you fell into the blade. Also, when you get to the water practice your control of it.”

“Ok thanks, wait control of what?”

“You have the ability to create and control water. Did lucifer not mention this?” He asked, head tilted to the side.

“No, he didn’t.” I growled out.

“Oh, then I’m sorry. He gave you the power to control water as well as the basic knowledge of a druid. You can feel that information, right?” I nodded and he continued. “Then using the hydrokinesis should be fairly instinctive.”

“Ok thanks for the advice. I’ll be back.” I said before turning around and pushing my way through the crowd once more.

I made it through and back into the foyer to find the cat waiting on me. It meowed in greeting and gave it a few pats and checked its gender. It was male so I finally had a gender for the cat, so he was no longer an it.

I decided to check the green house next as I reasoned that the village might be fairly expansive and take more time to explore. I walked through the arch and emerged into a large clearing. The walls were made of the trunks of thousands of trees, but there was enough space in the clearing for the sun to sign through bathing the area in brilliant sunlight. The whole area had several paths throughout it, and what wasn’t path was a small square plot of land. There was also a small chest and control panel immediately to my right.

The control panel was interesting as it was made of stone, and all of the buttons and dials were either made of painted wood or crystal. The panel labeled each plot of land and allowed you to adjust the temperature and environment of the plot for ideal growing conditions.

I turned and opened the wooden chest. Inside were two devices and some clothes, which I immediately knew the purpose of. One was a small device with a handle and two prongs on it. It was a seed analyzer, and it would calculate the perfect environment to grow that seed in. The next item was shaped like a shovel and was a soil analyzer. This device would be inserted into the ground and would analyze the soil to determine if the soil was fertile enough for the seed to be planted.

I set both of those items aside to examine the clothes. There was a hat, a set of leather gloves, some work boots, and a set of overalls. All of them were my new size and seemed to be quite tough. The hat was mostly for looks and keeping the sun out of my face as it was a large straw hat with a red ribbon around the brim. I put everything back in the chest and left the greenhouse before turning to my final destination.

This time, when I went to enter the village, the cat followed me inside. Once we both passed through the arch, we emerged into a small-town square. The houses around us were made of stone and wood, with a gravel path leading around the town. The town itself was situated in a large clearing in the middle of a forest, with a large lake bordering it to the north. I also noticed that the town had no human occupants, but there were birds, insects and in the distance, I could see some fish and waterfowl on the lake.

I was interrupted from my exploration by the constellations again. My star map appeared in my mind, and I watched the star flare out again. This time however it was able to make a connection with a constellation. The constellation was called Crafting Artisan, and it grabbed onto one of the smallest nodes called Shaper. I could tell that it only cost one charge, and my star agreed as it tried to extend and grab another constellation and it succeeded. This time it grabbed onto the Vehicle constellation and grabbed a small node called Garage.

I had just barely registered the new perks when the whole reality rumbled, and I could see a new stone building appearing. I quickly rushed over to see what was happening and discovered that my reality now had a garage attached to it.

The garage was almost fifteen feet tall. It had a single garage door, along with a standard door to come and go. I opened the door and stepped inside to look around. Inside the garage was an old Ford Pinto, and a never-ending parts supply. I knew thanks to my power that this garage was fully equipped to work on and modify cars. However, it didn’t come with any experience to actually use those skills.

I left the garage and began to think about the other perk I got. That perk was named Shaper. The interesting thing about Shaper was that it dealt with a system of magic that I could now use. The magic was based off of spheres, and which spheres were invested in certain elements. This would affect how powerful your spells and abilities could be. There were six elements, Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Life and Death, and depending on you alignments you could either be extremely focused on one element or a master of none.

My spheres, aside from one had been assigned randomly. Three of my spheres were attuned to fire, granting me the perk Desert Walker, which made me immune to normal sources of fire. I only had one sphere in water magic, and it gave me Wellspring, which would allow me to breathe underwater, and not be troubled by wet environments.

With those attunements came several spells that I suddenly knew. It gave me a small headache, but after a few moments it faded away. I mentally looked over the spells I had just learned, and I was very surprised. Some of the fire spells affected people’s emotions, either inciting them to rage, or inciting an entire city to anarchy. There were also a few fires attack spells, but what really grabbed my attention was the water and earth spells.

I now knew of a spell called healing rain, which would produce a light rain in a thirty-foot diameter which would help to sooth and heal injuries. The earth spells included a way to enchant my skin to become as hard as rock, and another spell to enchant a road to make it easier to travel. I wouldn’t be able to cast more than two of the first level spells in a day, but I would improve over time, which gave me another goal to work towards.

Shaper, which was the Earth perk, allowed me to control and mold wood, stone, sand, and pretty much any naturally occurring stone into any shape I desired. This was made easier by my extra sphere in earth. It also made it so anything made with this ability was greater than It could have been on its own. I could create tools made of wood that would work and function as if they were steel. I could create walls out of sand or clay that were as hard as granite.

I decided that I definitely needed to test some of the things I had learned. The first thing I was going to test was controlling and creating water. Clean water was one of Gotham’s most heavily imported resources due to the actions of Scarecrow and the Joker dumping chemicals into the water. If I could make my own water, then we wouldn’t have to pay so much for bottled water.

I walked through the village, still slightly freaked out at the sheer silence of it and approached the shore of the lake. The water was remarkably clear, showcasing the various aquatic life therein. It was quite soothing, with the waves gently lapping against the shore.

As I focused on the water, I began to notice something had changed. There was almost a second sense I could feel this close to the water. I focused on that feeling and waved my hand at the water. The water moved a little bit in relation to my hand, so I kept focusing on that feeling and practiced pushing and pulling some of the water.

After getting the hand of pushing and pulling the water, I tried to manipulate it. I followed the back-and-forth motion, while slowly increasing the height of my arms. I slowly began to change my movements from back and forth to up and down, which led me to be able to life a sizeable portion of the water into the air and back again. I then pulled it a little too much and was thoroughly drenched when the massive wave I created washed over me.

I stood there and sputtered as I got over the shock of the water drenching me before I decided that that was enough practice for today. The other thing I needed to try was the shaper ability, so I went over to one of the many trees surrounding the forest and placed my hand on its trunk. The moment I did I could feel the wood of the tree as if it was another part of my body. However, I also got a sense of how I could manipulate it as well. I focused on something simple and imagined a wooden staff, something you would see in a karate movie and willed the tree to become one.

I only realized my mistake after the fact, and the tree slowly morphed into several wooden staffs that immediately fell all over the place, some even hitting me. I rubbed my forehead where one of them had brained me when I was distracted by my star flaring out a bit more powerfully than before and connecting with a several different motes. One was a perk that had two sub-perks attached to it. The main Perk was called Aesthetics and Flair, and it was from the Quality Appearance constellation. It was a perk that would help whenever I created a weapon or item to make it look much more appealing to the eyes, almost like works of art.

Branching off of that perk, were two sub-perks called Inexplicable Innuendo and Classy Contortionist. Classy Contortionist altered every movement and motion I made to become much more appealing to the eye. It also helped with posing, to make me appear sexier. It paired really well with Inexplicable Innuendo which would allow me to come off as sexy when I spoke, or to talk in a lighthearted and dirty manner. It was apparently used as a distraction during combat, but I don’t think I will be using it that much.

The next perk only had one sub perk branching off of it. This perk was from the Mundane Supplies: Small-Scale constellation and was called Nullspace Computer. It allowed me to summon a computer tower and banish it back to Nullspace. I could interact with the computer through a holographic interface that I could summon at will.

Attached to this perk was a sub-perk called Jumpsuit. The name was fairly self-explanatory. Just like the computer, I could summon a jumpsuit onto my body. It was self-cleaning, self-repairing, skintight and very comfortable. It also could be summoned on and off like the computer could.

The last perk was from a group of connected perks in the Magitech Database. Only that perk was unlocked, and it gave me detailed knowledge on how to create and enchant a motorcycle with a plethora of abilities. It was called Steel Ride, and when assembled could shrink to fit in my pocket, fly, cast spells, and even transform into a horse. The perk also came with the ability to cast the specific type of magic used on the motorcycle, the knowledge of a how to use that magic, and a wand to use it with.

I didn’t even have to look for the wand as it appeared on the ground in front of me. The wand was twelve and a half inches long and made of Rowan wood. I didn’t know how I knew that but for some reason the knowledge was there, along with what the wand’s core was made of. My wand, and I knew that it was mine, had a core made of Veela hair. I even knew what a Veela was thanks to the knowledge that came with the magic. It also gave a raging headache as seven years of learning magic was poured into my brain.

I leaned down and grabbed the wand, and the moment I touched it, I felt a rush of warmth from my hand to my heart. Silver and Blue sparks sprang like a fountain from the tip of the wand, and a smile lit up my face at the sensation.

I stared at the wand and focused. I drew a loop in the air and incanted the word Lumos. Instantly the tip of my want lit up. I said the counter of Nox and the light faded away. I quickly ran through several spells that I knew and while I could do most of them on the first try, some of them took multiple tries to get correct. I also knew that most of these spells were taught early in the curriculum and made up the basics of the schooling I had just flash learned.

I was about to put my wand in my pocket, when I remembered that it was possible for my wand to go off if it was in my pocket. I thought about it for a moment before I remembered a spell that would help.

“Crinum Muto.” I said, waving my wand to point at my hair.

The spell could be roughly translated to: I change my hair. It was a simple spell designed to style ones hair with magic. Quickly, my hair morphed styles into what was called a modern French twist. Thankfully listening to my mother talk about her hair had paid off and I could actually imagine the style. Once it was done, I placed my wand through the twist in my hair to keep it secure, at least until I could create some form of holster for it.

Something interesting was the fact that shaper could manipulate the wood of my wand if I wanted to, which could be bad if I wasn’t careful. However, it also represented the opportunity to test the Aesthetics and Flair perk on my wand. However, I decided not to test that as I only had one wand and didn’t want to ruin it.

I turned around and meandered through the village back out into the foyer and made my way back to the Benefactor’s Lounge. I passed through the arch again, but this time the club was empty except for the three people at the bar. One was Amenadiel, the other two were women.

One was incredibly beautiful with long flowing black hair and lightly tanned skin. She was sitting at the bar and nursing an amber colored drink on my side of the bar. She was wearing a white dress that was incredibly sexy. She seemed to be in a deep and animated conversation with the other woman at the bar.

The other woman, on Amenadiel’s side was tall, almost as tall as Amenadiel. She was wearing a lot of leather and seemed to be covered in weapons and knives. Her short curly hair only came to her shoulder and her amber eyes focused on me as I approached the bar. However, she still kept her conversation with the woman even while watching me.

I felt my star flare, but it when it stretched out, it didn’t grab onto any of the constellations and simply absorbed the energy, bringing my charge total to one.

“Ah Daniel! Welcome back.” Amenadiel began. “As I promised your new clothes are on the end of the bar over there. Eve, would you help her get dressed? She is new to being female.”

“Of course! Id be glad to.” The woman Eve said with a bright and exuberant grin.

“As long as she keeps her hands where I can see them.” Growled the unnamed woman, while fingering a dagger.

“Maze.” Eve groaned out before reaching across the bar and grabbing her behind the neck and beginning to make out with Maze, before pulling away. “You know you’re the only woman for me.”

“I know, I just like to make sure other people know it too.” She said, with a heated gaze fixed on Eve, before swallowing and sheathing her knife.

I barely had a moment to think before a whirlwind of white and black had grabbed me by the arm and was dragging me along towards the back of the bar. Eve began to talk as she grabbed my new clothes, but I tuned her out as nattered on and on about fashion and other things. Eventually we made it back into massive private bathroom and she began to teach me how to put on the new clothes I would require.
