Summary
Entering the temple through the wooden wing door, he found the big room mainly lightened by candles, the big chandelier hanging from the ceiling in the middle was the main source of light. It was quiet, his steps on the stone floor sounding too loud in the empty building, echoing back from the walls. Aleksi swallowed, focusing on the task at hand. He spotted Olli kneeling in front of the altar, head bowed, hands out of view from where Aleksi was standing. The priest didn’t seem bothered by the sound of someone else arriving but Aleksi still felt out of place, maybe he shouldn’t bother Olli during his daily evening ritual.
Before he could give this any more thought he saw Olli straightening, looking at the tall, ornated candle on the altar ahead of getting up.
“Stop just standing there, Aleksi.”Olli takes Aleksi's confession...sort of.
