Work Text:
Leo hazily opened his eyes a sliver. It was all gray, well of course it would be, the prison dimension was supposed to be prison, no excitement allowed here, even if that was colors. He heard an echo of a voice yelling at him and some metallic stomping, oh yeah, Wubba Bubbah man was here too, fun. Leo tried to get his limbs to move, to quip or to just do SOMETHING, but nothing worked, he was so so… tired.
Leo heard the mechanical walking approach him, some of the words Wubba Bubbah was saying actually registering. “..y revenge….r you alone…” Leo braised himself as he heard the suit’s fist raise. It.. it will be okay… it just going to sting and… it will… no don’t, replace his fist with a memory.. Something-
Suddenly Leo was smacked aside the right cheek by April with a pillow. Leo, his brothers, April, they were all so young, just kids. April laughed as Leo rubbed his cheek, man it hurts a lot more than he remembers, he heard her yelling out in delight, the words were fuzzy and everything was getting to fuzzy-
Leo stumbled to the side as Mikey accidentally hit him on his left cheek with his nunchucks. Leo rubbed that cheek, verbalizing his pain as Mikey came over to him, checking him over and probably asking him if he was okay. He wasn’t. This hurt way more than it actually did and
Donnie launched one of his early drone prototypes into Leo’s right side, the sheer size of the thing causing him to fall onto the ground. He yelled something and Donnie yelled something back, and then everything was burning and it was getting harder to hold onto the fuzzy imaginations that were Leo’s memories.
Leo felt another punch into his side, yelling in pain. Leo hazeley stared up at the Kraang in front of him as he raised his suit’s arms, yelling in frustration. Leo tried to close his eyes, tried to remember, yeah. It was Raph, he was going to belly flop onto Leo because he's taking up all the couch space-
Leo cried in pain as the pure agonizing force of the hit made the ground collapse underneath the two. Leo opened one of his eyes, somehow feeling betrayed by his mind, why wasen’t this working? He wanted to go out peacefully, he wanted his family, he wanted his brothers, he wanted to live, he wanted to go home and give everyone a hug and tell them all how much they mean to him and that hes not ready to die, he dosent want to die, hes going to die-
“Leo”
Whos that?
“Calm down”
Why?? Everything is going to end and im not with my family
“Shhh… It will be alright, look”
Leo roughly closed his eyes before looking at the picture in his hands, deciding to listen to the reassuring voice.
“You see? They're safe now Leo. You can rest.”
Leo rubbed his thumb across the picture, feeling a tightness in his throat. He quickly gulped, smiling as he felt tears begin to stream down his face. Yeah… they’re alright… they’re safe…
“WIPE THAT GRIN OFF YOUR FACE”
Leo felt pain, heard ringing, but nothing was registering right, he was just floating.
“Its okay Leo, take some breaths and close your eyes, your going to be okay”
Leo breathed in, curling in on himself as more tears fell down his cheek, he held the picture of his family close, hoping to never let them go, even in the end. Leo gently closed his eyes, the soft voice humming him a melody as a soft blanket of black took over his mind.

Yellow. Or was it white? Orange maybe? The little red slider didnt know. He squinted up at the big circle thing light thing. It was warm. Oooo… warm. He shifted around in the pile of spiky soft and slightly bumpy shells, some other squeaks and sounds coming from the shells. The red slider hummed happily as he reached one hand for the light.
Leo was shocked to see his brothers beyond the light. Leo smiled, flinching as his sides began to flare up.
“Took you guys long enough”
