Dash scrambled to put away the sketchbook and pencils strewn about the studio's desk as Allison's high-heeled footsteps clattered down the hallway. Keeping his art hobby a Secret wasn't easy. It wasn't that he didn't want her to know, rather he was afraid she'd think of him differently. Though as a famous musician herself, he knew she'd Love him all the same, And she'd probably even encourage him to continue pursuing his artistic talents. Still, due to his family's disapproval of his "art", he had to go to great lengths to keep it hidden. In doing so, he had gotten used to hiding it from anyone and everyone.
The door opened with a loud click and he met Allison's gaze. She wore an expression of mixed surprise and joy.
"Dashiell Ludo! You've been doing art and I never knew about it?!" She was beaming as she strode up to the table in awe.
"That's the definition of a secret, isn't it?" he dryly replied, handing her the stack of drawings, which she began going through with the curiosity and glee of a child.
There was no reason for him to hide anything from her. She loved him all the same.
