Halloween: 6:30 P.M.
As a cold breeze blew throughout the small town of NewDugWood, leaves fluttered through the air and tickled against the naked branches of dead trees and slightly chipped away lamposts.
It was quiet, calm, and dark: the perfect representation of fall weather as every one of every age in the small town was getting ready for the Halloween party taking place later that evening. All were either getting their costumes ready or already dressed up and heading out toward a local venue for the annual Halloween bash, merrily traveling for fun and joy.
The same was occurring on SummerSet Road, as the few occupants living there were preparing and heading out the door, smiling cheerfully as they headed towards their cars or chose to walk to their destination in peace and quiet... which was soon to be interrupted by the sound of a door slamming open and the sound of pounding, rushing footsteps heading downstairs and out a cheap lobby.
"Late! Late! LATE! I am late!!!" Dylan shouted, maneuvering past people as he held a large black bag close to his body. Stumbling towards his car, he threw the door open as he climbed inside, the load being pushed to the back as he hurriedly put his seatbelt on. Fumbling for his car keys, he took them out and turned the ignition, hearing it roar to life as he quickly put it into drive and quickly (but carefully) made his way out and down the street.
Tapping his foot impatiently on the floor as he drove through the area, taking note of the many people already heading out and towards the venue, Dylan could only let out an impatient groan as he turned a corner and kept on. Kris's house was only just a few blocks away, but it felt like a lifetime for him as he passed several decorated streets before coming to a red light.
Trying to keep his nerves calm, he cursed quietly to himself as he drummed his fingers against the steering wheel. He was really hoping that he would make it on time so that he could meet up with Kris, get dressed up, and then head out to the party for a chance to unwind and just soak in the spooky atmosphere.
"Of course, I would be doing that... if I hadn't gotten saddle with paperwork at the last minute," Dylan exclaimed, feeling a stress headache come over him as he took a few calming breaths. The light turned green upon the last breath, and he continued on.
Earlier in the day, Mira Langley, his boss at Iris Stellar Company, had practically placed piles and piles of paperwork for him to work on and lookover, so Dylan had no choice but to work fast on every single one of them... practically eating into his morning and in the early evening. Combine that with him unexpectedly taking a nap and his clock greeted him with the notion that he was going to be late, leaving him to forgo any of that in order to get out on time and meet up with Kris.
His nerves felt frazzled, but he managed to keep calm as he finally recognized Chesikin Road underneath the abundant amount of decorations. Letting out a breath of fresh air, he could feel himself calm down as he finally caught sight of the townhouse both Kris and her sister Cece lived in and pulled quickly upfront before putting it in park mode.
Getting back into a hurry, Dylan undid his seatbelt and rushed out, heading to the backseat to grab his costume and close the door. Making his way toward the set of small steps situated outside, he quickly pushed the doorbell and began waiting, his foot once more tapping impatiently as he looked around.
"Shit, shit, shit! I should have come here earlier! Now Kris probably thinks I forgot and that I left hanging dry... GAH! Stinking work! Stinking, stinking work!" Dylan growled as held his costume tightly, barely paying attention as the door creaked open, leading into a dark hallway. Pausing briefly, he looked up and poked his head inside.
"Hello? Kris? Cece? Is anyone in here?" Dylan asked, trying to keep calm as he carefully walked inside. He knew that it was horror movie logic NOT to walk inside a spooky house when something was clearly wrong, but he couldn't help but be worried about both sisters. As he walked further in, the door creaked before slamming shut, which caused him to jump back and stare wide-eyed at it.
Letting out a small gulp, Dylan soon let out a nervous laugh as he began backing away. "H-heh... V-very funny you guys. Y-you got me real good..."
Nothing but silence greeted him. Fear slowly gripped him as he hadn't realized that someone was hiding in the shadows, watching him and waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike, leaving the wall it was holding on to and slowly walking towards him with barely a noise in its steps.
Inching its way closer and closer, raising its arms up in an attempt to grab him and surprise Dylan with a large grin... unfortunately, it completely missed the way its cloak soon clumped under its foot, causing it to slip out from underneath with a small "EEP!"
Dylan jumped as the figure fell flat on its face with a whimper. At that moment, the lights came on and a disappointed sigh echoed from the living room as Cece, dressed up in a ghost-themed sweater walked in.
"Oh, Kris. I told you about the cloak, it was way too long! I think you should forgo using it," Cece explained, shaking her head as the figure lifted its head up, revealing it to be a sniffling Kris, who was wearing a Victorian-style red dress with a black ribbon lace-up bodice, flowing bell-cut sleeves, a long black cloak that came to her ankles, and finally a pair of black strap kitten heels. Rubbing her nose, Kris slowly lifted herself up to face Dylan, mouth open in pain, exposing a pair of fake vampire fangs.
"I-I thought it would add to my aesthetic... but now, I think you were right," Kris said, sighing as she untied the cloak from her body and tossed it towards the coach.
"Umm... d-did I miss something just now?" Dylan finally asked, tilting his head as Kris turned to face him with a sheepish smile.
"O-Oh... well, you see, I wanted to try and scare you with my costume before we headed off to the party, so I had Cece pretend to have the door open and close all scary-like to make it work even more... But, it kind of work, in the beginning, didn't it?" Kris asked, tilting her head as she pushed her fingers together.
"Well... it kind of worked. I can give that to you," Dylan admitted. "It almost kind of made me forget about running late for the party... until I just reminded myself right now."
"Huh? Really?" Kris asked, her eyes trailing for a clock before getting her phone out. As soon as she did and switched the screen on, her eyes widened at the time. "Oh my! We are running late! Dylan, do you have your costume? You need to get dressed quickly! You can use me and Cece's bathroom!"
Before Dylan could even answer, he felt himself being shoved quickly into the nearby bathroom, the door closed behind him. Not wanting to waste any time, he simply just shrugged and promptly got to work unzipping the bag and taking out his costume: a black loose-fitted tailcoat with small skull buttons, a navy blue waistcoat with a dark grey tie painted with a skeleton-like design, a pair of dark grey pants with the same style on the front, and a masquerade skull mask.
Quickly removing his jacket, he started unbuckling his belt and pants when...
Growwwlllllllll
A low rumble came from his stomach, causing him to freeze and start blushing. It suddenly just occurred to Dylan that he was... kind of hungry.
No... not hungry.
Starving.
'Shit... did I not eat something before coming over? I can't remember! I mean, I was in a rush to get here, and I know I was going to grab a snack before I left but...'
Growwlllll Rumble Groan!
A louder growl emanated from his stomach, causing Dylan to groan in unison as he hugged his stomach tightly.
This... this didn't feel normal.
Dylan actually felt like he hadn't eaten in weeks! He knew the workload had taken a lot longer than he had anticipated, but surely it hadn't taken that long!
Right?
Wincing, Dylan went back to getting dressed, albeit at a slower pace. Soon, he had adjusted the mask directly to the side and gathered his street clothes into the bag itself. Slinging it over his shoulder, he walked out.
"Sorry, I took a bit long in there, Kris." Dylan apologized, rubbing the back of his head.
"Ah, that's all right Dylan! You made some good time though," Kris pointed out, giving him a fanged smile as she took his hand and led him to the door. "We have plenty of minutes to make it to the party, so let's make like a bunch of ghouls and... and..." Kris paused, trying to think of a funny pun to add to the statement.
"...Boo-gie?" Dylan added, giving a small smirk as Kris smiled and nodded, fighting the urge to chuckle.
"Yep! That's the one!" Kris giggled.
Both laughed as they walked outside, waving goodbye to Cece who gave a smile and waved back. The door closing behind them, they were making their way down the street toward where the venue was, the quiet night sky and sounds greeting them... when Dylan's stomach suddenly decided to announce itself once more.
Grrrrrrrrrrrr...
"Hmmm? Dylan? Did you hear that?" Kris asked, missing the way Dylan blushed brightly as he held his stomach once more, mentally cursing it to be quiet.
"Mmmm... n-no. I didn't hear anything," he answered, lying through his teeth. Kris narrowed her eyes, looking over him suspiciously before shrugging and seemly dropping the subject as the two kept on. They could faintly hear music playing, as well as snippets of conversations from those who had already arrived or were still making their way.
"So Dylan... how was work exactly?" Kris decided to ask to fill in the silence. "When you first mentioned it, you said something about it taking a bit longer than usual?"
"Eh...oh, it wasn't that long," Dylan shrugged off, giving Kris a crooked smile. "It took about a couple hours to complete. Nothing too serious though, thankfully, since both Jasper and Rainn were there to help."
"Well, that's good. But, wow, that sounds... kind of long. Very, very long, in fact. You did at least have time to take care of yourself, right?"
"Of course Kris. I took care of myself," Dylan answered, waving her off. "I had already showered, I was up on my feet all day to keep my brain and creativity flowing..."
"Did you at least rest up?" Kris asked eyebrow raised as she paused to turn and look at him with a suspicious frown. "Cause you happen to have a habit of putting off some much-needed sleep."
"If by "rest up", you mean I willed myself to go catch up on some sleep, then yes. I did do that," Dylan admitted, giving raising an eyebrow in return. "I was on top of my own health for the duration of this project Kris. I had everything figured out. No need to worry about me, I promise."
"I know, I know. I can't help it, I tend to worry about these things," Kris admitted, as they finally made their way into the venue outside the community center. Multicolor lights shined brightly as the music played, much louder and clearer than before. People of different ages and costumes were all gathered, either dancing by themselves or in groups, or off to the side mingling and talking with one another. "It's an annoying habit, but it just means I care."
"I know Kris, and I appreciate it, but," Dylan started to speak, giving her a warm smile in return. "Tonight's the night not to worry about anything! It's Halloween, Monster Mash is practically blaring over the speakers, and everyone here is costumed and having some fun! So..."
Dylan suddenly twirled her around, causing her to gasp softly and blush as she faced him, her face getting bright red as he kissed her hand.
"May I have the honor of asking you for this date madame of the night?" He asked, giving her a flirty look as she stammered to answer before giving him a smile in return.
"Yes... you may~" She replied, giggling as he led her further, both ready to enjoy some much-needed, spooky fun.
One Hour Later
Both Dylan and Kris had just finished another bout of dancing and were making their way to the refreshments, small beads of sweat on their foreheads as they relaxed against the table.
"Oooh boy... dancing sure takes a lot out of you!" Kris exclaimed, grabbing a cup and helping herself to some punch as Dylan nodded in return.
"Yeah, but it was definitely fun! I can dance all night long," Dylan said, sighing happily as he leaned back. "This is just what the doctor ordered. Some dancing and relaxing-"
GROWLLLLLLLL!!!
Both froze as Dylan felt himself blush. Suddenly, dancing did not seem like the right thing to do, as what little energy he had left was completely drained out of him. The hunger, now just manageable and hidden at best, was practically gnawing at him from the inside, practically begging him to eat something, ANYTHING, right now!
"Hey! There's that noise again! And, now that I'm thinking about it... it kind of sounds like..." Kris started to say, tapping her chin.
"N-nothing! Nothing at all! Hey, I think they're revving up the next song, we should probably get back on the dancefloor," Dylan said, trying to diverge Kris's attention away. To his credit, she did pause to give him a head tilt and a confused look.
"Right now? I don't know, I'm still a little winded from the last one. Besides," Kris stated, pointing to the display of food with an innocent look on her face. "There's some food here, and I know that I'm dying to try some mummy hot dogs. How about you?"
Dylan looked over the table, and he had to admit, it did all look delicious. Maybe it was the fact that he was downright starving, but the look and smell were... intoxicating.
"Mmm, you know, you do have a point. It couldn't hurt to eat for a few minutes- Mmmph!"
Something sweet and creamy was gently shoved into Dylan's open mouth, barely giving the man enough time to speak as he chewed before swallowing.
"Sorry Dylan, but I saw these ghost marshmallow brownies," Kris explained with a sheepish look, holding another one up in her hand. "And I couldn't help but think that you would love these! I might have been a bit impatient there..."
"No no, it's fine Kris. Actually, it tasted great! I kind of wanted to try some more," Dylan said, smiling. Kris watched, surprised before nodding and grinning at him.
"Ask... and you shall receive," Kris said, before going to get some more punch.
Dylan nodded and chuckled before eating once more. Soon, that second treat... turned into a couple more as Kris, noticing that Dylan had finished the second brownie, decided to pile on some more food for him and leave it there before heading to the bathroom, seemly missing the way he gulped at the portions given to him. Still, he wasn't just going to not eat it!
Somehow, through the ending of one song and to the halfway point of another, he managed to finish the plate feeling satisfied and slightly passed the level of fullness. Putting the now-empty plate down, he leaned back and let out a sigh, his waistcoat feeling... just a bit snug, but otherwise, nothing too uncomfortable.
"Dylan! Hey, Dylan!"
Kris's voice called to him, causing him to lift his head as he saw her walking back... with another plate of food, this time filled up with what looked to be wrapped hot dogs and goblin-looking burgers that, while not nearly as stacked as the first, still had a healthy portion piled on as she made her way back to him.
"Uh, h-hey Kris. Where, uh, where did you get that from? I didn't see you around the table here," Dylan pointed out as Kris handed him the food.
"Oh! Inside," Kris answered, pointing towards the rec center. "They had some more tables filled with food lined up against the wall, so I figured 'why not grab some for Dylan' and bring it here? I-I hope you don't mind..."
Dylan blushed slightly as Kris looked at him with an innocent expression. On the one hand, he was already feeling kind of full, and- something that even he found himself surprised by- didn't want to really overdo it, especially with the costume he had on. But, on the other hand... he didn't really want to disappoint her, especially with the way she was looking at him.
Maybe it was that smile, and those eyes sparkling that just manage to... convince him in partaking.
"Oh, Kris I..." He started to say before matching her smile and taking the plate, "...I would love to. Thank you."
"Of course," Kris exclaimed, eyes sparkling with glee as Dylan started to eat, small bits of crumbs clouding his mouth as she watched him.
"Heh, I know I'm just making this observation, but I think they really went all out for this party! The decorations, the music... and especially the food! Wouldn't you agree Dylan?"
Dylan could only grunt in agreement, cheeks temporarily full of food. Kris poured some punch into a separate cup and handed it off for him to wash down, before spotting another table and heading over, intentions clear on getting more food.
Dylan finally finished, letting out a burp before brushing off whatever crumbs were left. His waistcoat definitely felt less snug and more tightening, and his fullness levels were definitely pushing the limit. His eyes looked over towards where Kris had skipped off to, a smile on her face as she started stacking up more food, eagerly excited to share some more morsels with him.
He honestly couldn't tell if it was because Kris secretly knew that he was hungry, or if she was just that excited to share food with him, but either way, he didn't want to deny Kris what she was offering. The two of them desperately needed this, and Dylan wanted her to have as much fun as they can cram in.
Besides, what was the worst that could happen?
Gurgle Groan...
Dylan downed another cup of punch, wondering if maybe something fizzy would help instead as his stomach started to complain, whether from hunger or fullness he didn't know at this point when he noticed Kris walking back, a lot more food this time around.
'I think two will help... or three' Dylan thought as he gave her a smile and wave, fighting the way his stomach groaned.
Two Hours Later
The party was still continuing on well into the night, and Dylan was now fighting the overwhelming urge to unbutton the now-tight pants. At some point, he had lost track of what Kris had given him, and basically ate anything that she gave him. They did head back onto the dancefloor, but only for a few minutes, as Kris seemed more content to feed him.
Now sitting down at a table situated a bit from the dancefloor, his stomach was no longer tightening against his waistcoat but now pushing against it. His buttons were slightly strained and just barely holding on as his swollen gut gurgled and groaned, jammed-packed as silver linings of flesh started to emerge. Another burp exited his mouth as he tried hiding his stomach from any prying eyes, rubbing it gently as he groaned.
At the very least, Kris was enjoying the party. When she wasn't feeding him, she was dancing, talking, and smiling brightly with a slight blush as she showed off her costume to anyone interested. It left Dylan with a sense of happiness amidst the evergrowing stomachache developing inside him.
He heard some rustling behind him, his body stifling as he turned his head slightly... only to relax as he saw Kris, this time with a small napkin holding some decently sized pumpkin-styled cookies inside.
"Urrp! H-hey Kris! Those cookies look pretty good!" Dylan stated as she smiled at him.
"I know, right? They're so cute," Kris exclaimed, putting one up to Dylan's mouth. Missing the slight grimace he had on his face, Dylan opened his mouth just wide enough for her to gently push it in. Chewing slowly and swallowing, he could feel his stomach groan and churn as he ate another one, buttons straining more with a slight creak.
Finally, he had finished them all. Chewing even slower, he swallowed and let out a sigh... only to freeze at a dull popping sound from below, and the feeling of his stomach being set free from the buttoned confines of his pants. Kris seemed to notice as well, from the way her eyes widened and the small gasp that left her mouth.
"Um, Dylan," Kris spoke softly, mouth covered in shock, "w-were those your pants just now?"
"I... I think they were," Dylan whispered, hands now covering his slightly free midsection. Whatever sense of relief he had at that moment, seemed to vanish at the small bit of embarrassment. "I think I might have eaten just a bit too much..."
"O-oh, my..." was all Kris could say, suddenly feeling very flustered before clearing her throat. "Um... perhaps we should g-go somewhere where there aren't... too many eyes that could watch us?"
Dylan could only nod, still blushing red as the two of them got up and quickly made their way inside. Thankfully, there were only a few people still circulating, so they quickly rushed out of sight through the double doors and made their way down the hall and into a small empty room, save for a few chairs and tables set up against the wall.
Closing the door quickly, Kris moved to grab a sole chair and place it down, allowing Dylan to sit and instantly relax as he adjusted his pants, not caring if Kris noticed.
Letting out a soft moan filled with regret, he ran his hands over his gut, barely paying any mind to anything else.
"Oof... yeah, I really overindulged there," He moaned, not noticing when Kris walked behind him. He only did, when he felt a second pair of hands join his, rubbing gently.
"Mmm... I'm sorry Dylan. I fed you a bit too much," Kris apologized as Dylan shook his head gently.
"No, no... this one is on me. I should have stopped while I was ahead," He responded, trying to turn and give her a sincere smile in return.
"E-even so... why did you eat so much? You could have stopped me, I would have listened."
"W-well, you were having so much fun, and I know you were a bit stressed these past few days... so, I wanted you to have whatever fun you needed."
"Aw, Dylan," Kris said softly, before giving him a soft kiss on his cheek, giggling as he blushed brightly. "You big sweetie~ You didn't have to. Well, it would only be fair to return the favor now~"
"O-oh? What did you have in mind," Dylan stammered, freezing as Kris unbuttoned the strained buttons from his waistcoat, leaving his belly now free as she began rubbing once more. Being both thorough and gentle with him, he let out a sigh of relief before giving her a smile.
"Heh, thanks, Kris. You really know to care for someone. You're amazing at this."
"Hehe, well, I learned from my mom~ Just relax, and let me take care of you~"
Now beet red, Dylan could feel his mouth grow dry and his heart beat slightly faster. "I'll be fine though. Just give me a few hours, and I'll be fine."
"No need to rush now. Take all the time you need Dylan," Kris replied, before planting a gentle kiss on his stomach. Giggling as Dylan stammered before letting out a nervous chuckle, she relaxed her ear against the surface, taking in the groans and gurgles of digestion running through.
"God... y-you're just going to make m-me melt on the spot Kris." Dylan expressed, body temperature rising as Kris gave an innocent smile and shrug.
"What can I say? It's what I'm best at," She answered, relishing the moment as he relaxed once more, closing his eyes.
Kris sighed as she continued, happy. She had an inkling that Dylan was only snacking while he worked and not properly eating enough to fill him up, as well as the fact that he wouldn't tell her that he was hungry... so, she may have pushed him in the general direction to indulge in just a bit.
It was the only way to make sure he ate, though she might have fed him too much.
She wouldn't complain though.
What mattered was that Dylan ate, and she got something nice in return. So it played out well in the end.
Both had indulged in what they wanted and got it in return, and that was all that mattered.
'Besides, we have plenty of time in the party to enjoy more... maybe Dylan might want to try the zombie pasta next. That would be nice~' Kris thought as she continued rubbing, the music faintly playing in the background. This was truly the best Halloween ever for the two of them.
