Despite the blush increasing in color, the woman takes the hand and shakes it. “I’m Edelgard. Nice to meet you, Byleth. Though I must ask; do you flirt with all your customers, or just the ‘cute’ ones?”
Byleth winces. “Sorry, that was inappropriate of me.”
This causes Edelgard to laugh. “No worries, it felt nice. And I’m glad that my gaydar isn’t as out of date as Dorothea claims.”
Now it’s Byleth who has to return the laugh. “Edelgard, I’m a female bartender who wears nothing but flannel. There was a zero-percent chance I wasn’t queer.”
Edelgard nearly chokes on the sip of cranberry juice she was taking.
