Work Text:
It was time to go to bed, Langa thought. So, he left his papers on his desk, and went to the bedroom.
He walked on the tip of his toes, careful to not wake up Reki. However, he was surprised that his partner was still up.
“Reki? I told you not to wait for me.” Langa reprehended him, before letting a smile show up on his face.
“I can’t sleep, sorry. It’s one of those nights, you know.” Reki kept looking at the ceiling. “I’ve even tried to count sheep, but nope. Nothing!”
Langa placed a kiss on Reki’s mouth, and then covered himself with the sheets.
“Is it story time, then?” Langa asked, as he could already see the bags under his boyfriend’s eyes.
“No, no. I’ll just stay here, until it’s time to wake up. You have been working a lot, Langa.”
However, Langa wasn’t going to take a ‘no’ for an answer.
“Come on. Just let me try, and I'll tell you the story about the polar bear,” Langa begged.
At first, Reki turned his back on his boyfriend. But quickly enough, he laid on Langa’s chest, as he couldn’t resist hearing that story one more time.
“But after that one, you are going to sleep,” Reki asked.
“I will.” Langa surrounded his boyfriend with his arms, and made himself comfortable. “In a land that had only seen snow, there was a polar bear named…”
And when he saw that his boyfriend had surrendered to Morpheus, Langa couldn’t help but stare at him, as he remembered that was the story his dad used to tell him, a long, long time ago.
