Chapter Text
Jason laid almost motionless in the dirt as he stared up at the sky. His vision had long since faded to black the shallow beat of his heart now following closely behind as an icy coldness spread through his vain. Unsure of what happened or how he got there all Jason knew was that his life was slowly fading
"So-cough-this is it" He laughed bitterly as the last of his strength faded away "This is how I die"
"You're not going to die" A voice spoke softly from somewhere off to his right. It was gentle and comforting like that of a mother.
"Who-cough-who is there?" Jason asked as the soft sound of small footsteps approached him.
"Let's just say a friend" The stranger replied. Jason was caught off guard by something soft was wrapped against the back of his shoulders.
"Thanks but I don't think a blanket is going" The stranger didn't reply this time instead there was a sharp pain in his neck followed by an overwhelming warmness "what the-"
"Shhhh" they replied softly "just relax" Jason wanted to protest but found it impossible as tiredness took over. He finally gave in letting himself be engulfed by this newfound warmness as he drifted of to sleep.
