"Mija, what was that," questioned her Mami.
"What was what," asked Luz, "my book report?"
"That's what we're here to talk about, Luz," said the principal. "I was fine with the eye lid thing, the 'you broke my arm' goofs and the Romeo and Juliet Incident, even the 'anatomically correct griffon' can be excused somewhat, but you brought four garter snakes and illegal fireworks into school!"
"What were those even for, mija?"
"The act three closer," said Luz, rubbing where her prosthetic met her arm.
"Kid, the only reason I'm not throwing you in juvenile detention was the fact that there was an offer," he pulled out a pamphlet, "'Think Inside the Box' Camp, sounds boring but you might even make friends."
Luz stood in front of
"Mija, you know I'm doing what I think is best for you, you know I know that you are being bullied for being quirkless."
"But I'm not," she protested.
"I know, you had me test you with everything, but we don't know what it is," Camila paused for a moment, "you may even find that camp fun."
"But I like complicated fantasy settings and compiling cool anime moments to music, not listening to radio, and taxes, and normal."
"I know, mija, but I fear fantasy is holding you back."
Luz turns around and places her Good Witch Azura book in the trash when her Mami told her she had to head to work.
She looked back at the trash bin to see her book missing, and saw a little owl adorably hopping away. She chased it.
Number Five was afraid, then saw a human in the Owl Lady's stand. She had an idea, she could go to the human realm!
She had a quick look at the human's wardrobe, a violet and white short sleeved cat hoodie with a long sleeved lavender and white striped shirt, blue jeans, and red shoes. She noticed her left hand looked fake, so she made herself invisible, took a risk and grasped it. It was fake.
V went through the door.
The Boiling Isles were great, so far. She got King's crown, which was destroyed by Warden Wrath, and Eda was decapitated. Luz screamed.
"Oh, I hate when that happens."
The human screamed again.
"Don't worry, this happens when you're older."
Luz got a great prank idea. Later, though.
Luz decided to stay in the Boiling Isles. She also did the prank.
On the way back from the Conformatorium, Luz loosened the straps on her prosthetic, certain it wouldn't fall off until she got off.
When she dismounted Owlbert, her arm came off, and she just walked inside, as if not realizing she lost it. When inside, she lifted her left sleeve to show her arm.
She cackled like a madwoman when she heard their confused yells.
She told them of her accident when they got inside, and saw her stump. That she was on her bicycle and was hit by a car. The impact turned her left hand and wrist into paste. They had to remove some bone to have a good prosthetic for her.
Eda empathically apologized, saying, "Sorry kid, that sucks." She looked like she wanted to say more, but decided not to.
