    Thunder rattles the old house as Guillermo blinks away the haze of sleep. He belatedly realizes that Nandor has moved away from him to the other end of the couch. He shivers with quiet sobs, collapsed in on himself like a dying star.

    “Do you want to talk about it?” Guillermo asks, echoing his own words from earlier.

    “I have not seen the sunrise in seven hundred and fifty one years,” Nandor says, his voice muffled in his cloak. “And I cannot stop feeling sad about it.”

     

    Nandor and Guillermo are touch starved. They give each other what they need.
