Chapter Text
Fuck.
Fuck.
Tommy was standing in the middle of a clearing to one side.
He was clutching his back, trying to hide the wings.
He was trying to mask them from Phil, but he was also rubbing them in circles.
He often massages them, as his back has been hurting ever since they grew.
He was wincing, but he was sure Phil couldn’t see that.
But maybe he could?
Phil was standing opposite him, staring at him, not even blinking.
He was registering what he was seeing.
Here was Tommyinnit,
Clutching his newly grown wings with a look in his eyes that could only mean he was about to run.
I shifted my feet.
I tried to speak at first, but my mind was a daze, and nothing came out.
Tommy let go of his wings and changed position.
He was getting ready to run for it.
Back into Logdenshire.
Back to Dream.
Where he could hopefully get Phil away from him.
Tommy knew Phil wouldn’t hurt him, this was his ex-best-friend’s dad.
Then again, Phil killed Wilbur.
And his eyes looked like he was about to murder him.
But what motive would he have?
Did Dream tell Phil to kill him?
He wouldn’t, Dream was his buddy.
Still, the stance of the giant man and the fact he wasn’t blinking made me think that he was going to do something terrible.
Was he not after Tommy?
Maybe he wanted to get to Dream.
Maybe he was trying to hurt Dream, and he just stumbled upon Tommy.
Maybe he was going to hurt Tommy as a way of getting back at Dream. Tommy didn’t know why Phil would want Dream, but everyone knew he and Dream were friends, and maybe he was much easier to hurt.
Phil’s heart was aching.
He didn’t know Tommy was an avian.
And every instinct in his body was telling him to bring him back home, to be safe from this awful place and to live happily with him and Techno.
He hated that he never had these feelings for Wilbur.
Wilbur deserved these thoughts, but Phil couldn’t even respond to him with the slightest bit of emotion.
It was going to be different for Tommy, a bit with no family and a boy with every reason to get out of this place.

Tommy was sprinting at this point. He had lost track of where he was, and where Logstedshire was, but he needed to get away from the crazy bird man and back home.
He turned to look, and he couldn’t see where Phil was.
Had he given up after only a few minutes?
He looked all around him. Phil was fast, and he could fly, meaning he has to thoroughly check the sky as well as the trees.
He looking left, right, up, back. He glanced at everywhere Phil could possibly be. He was big, he couldn’t hide in the broad daylight.
Unfortunately, he didn’t check in front of him, where the breaking of glass was heard.

Once Tommy ran, Phil checked his inventory.
Tommy was in a lot of pain, and was running away, but he needed to check something.
He smiled triumphantly, despite not having anything done yet.
He had a splash potion of weakness on him, from when he was trying to cure those villagers.
He ran up a tree to scout where Tommy had ran off to.
Tommy, clearly not thinking rationally, was running in a straight line. It made him much easier to track.
Phil headed off in his direction.
