" That would be $15.69, credit or cash? ", Tighnari smiles to the customer.

" Oh, thank you, young man ", the lady pay with cash. " You know, I have a daughter that a little younger than you. If you are interested, I can hook you up with her "

Sigh, Tighnari still smiling to the woman. " Don't worry about me, ma'am. I'm here just trying to get paid, not getting laid. Thanks for the purchase, and do please come again "

" Dang, you have a quite sass for an attractive young student. I wish I was young as you still." she then leave the store with the groceries.

Another costumer came in and walk towards the ramen aisle. He does look suspicious, but Tighnari is not the one who should judge people.

' Well, yeah. He does look suspicious, but it's not my job to capture weirdos. I should try study after he left since there nothing better to do '

Startled, Tighnari then look at the man with a stern gaze. " Is that all, sir? "

" Yeah, that's all I guess? What about you? ", The man ask him.

" The name is Cyno, I'm the Law student from the Academia of Sumeru. You are quite a popular one around there, but I never thought we could ever talk like this ", Cyno then stare at the fennec eyes.

" Well, everything is $11.50. Would you like to pay in cash or credit? ", Tighnari just ignore him.

" Damn, ignoring me, aren't we? Okay then, I have one last thing to say " smiling again " For your information, I only know 24 words from the alphabet? "

Sighed, " What? Why now? "

" I don't know 'Y' too ", Cyno let out a small laugh.

" Oh god " he frustratingly sigh " I don't get paid enough for all of this "

But I really like the sass, it's kinda hot " Cyno then walk towards the entrance. " See you at school, cutie. Maybe meet me tomorrow morning, I'll treat you with something " he winked and Tighnari is not amused at all.

' What was that ' he shrugs ' But if he offers me to buy breakfast, then why not? '

Tighnari smile yet again and his co-worker came in to rescue.

" Tighnari! I am so sorry that you have to take my shift! ", Candace huffing, after running towards the store.

" It's fine, Candace. Atleast you can spare me my night shift, that's alright "

" Of course! Don't worry about it! We are pals, there's nothing from you that I won't help! "

" So, I'll take my leave now " Tighnari then quickly get his bag and left.

" Bye! See ya at school! "

Alone, walking in the dim light. Tighnari doesn't even care if anyone will attack him, he learned to defend himself. If anyone ever jumped him, he will be the one who will mugging them instead. Finding money is not easy for him, since he only supported by the Academia. His parents are nowhere to be found since he was 13, so he was an independent person since then.

' Urgh, why didn't I just buy something from the store before I left ' his stomach growls. ' I'll just go to the park for a bit, the swing looks fun since I don't have any relaxing time and all '

Quickly, Tighnari walk to the park to see Cyno again. Groaning, he just ignore Cyno again.

" Oh! Nari! Come on, sit here with me! I have some food if you want! It's from store though, help yourself! ", Cyno offers.

" No, thank you. I am very much full " he huffed, but the moment was ruined by his growling stomach.

Cyno smirks and laughing at the fennec, " You are adorable. Come on, I don't put anything in these food. Eat something, it will cover up your ' full ' stomach "

" Nah, for real, I'm okay " Tighnari embarrassed and then walk to the swing. Slowly, make the swing move, bit by bit. Cyno then stopped the swing and make Tighnari look at him. " What do you want now? "

Holding the unfinished bento, Cyno just look at him unsatisfied, " I said, eat something, pretty boy. Or I will feed you myself. Maybe from the mouth? Or, you want from else where? "

Again, with the random flirting, Tighnari's face flushed. " I.. I can eat myself! You don't have to feed me! Thanks for the food, Cyno! ", he quickly get the bento from Cyno's hand, Cyno just smile at him.

" You know, I'm not a kind of guy who like to share my food with others. But for you, I made an exception " Cyno wink at Tighnari who is eating his bento.

" Uh? Okay? Are you like, into me or something? Because man, I'm not looking for love "

" But you are looking for money, isn't it? ", Cyno look at him, interested. " I can give you money that you need, love " he then hold Tighnari's chin up. " You look really, really adorable, Nari "

Mouth shut, Tighnari just froze. " W-What? "

" W-What... What do you mean by that? " Tighnari stutter.

" Well, I know that you are having a crisis, and I'm just lending a hand. You know, helping you with money? ", Cyno smiles.

Tighnari tries to compose himself then say, " I don't need your money. Besides, I can find them all by myself " he slightly push Cyno and hand over the unfinished bento.

" Oh, come on now! " Cyno annoyed, " Is this because I told you a bad joke? "

" Partly, yes. But also, no. " Tighnari then start swinging himself. " I can't just accept your money, it's not like I'm disabled making me can't find my own money. I like being independent even though it makes my life hard " he slightly smile.

" So, you have issues huh? "

" That's was uncalled for, mister " Tighnari then stare at the man. " Don't you have other things to do? "

" Well, I have been waiting for how long... " Cyno starts calculating and show Tighnari with his 7 fingers up, " 7 months to talk to you. I can't just let this opportunity slipped! "

" What actually do you want from me? "

" I want you to stay by my side ", Cyno calmly say.

" The hell? That's sounds like a cheap confession to me ", Tighnari laugh, thinking it was a joke.

Cyno grab Tighnari by his hand and put him up on his shoulder like a teddy bear.

" Getting you to my bed, obviously " Cyno smirks.

" I-I I do not consent this behavior! "

" Oh come on, I'm just joking. Come to my apartment first, then we talk about the contract "

" But you can just let me down! " Tighnari then bite Cyno's upper neck.

" D-damn! Stop doing that! My house is near here! Just let me carry you around! "

" Nah! I can walk myself! Stop treating me like a child! " Tighnari again, bite the other place.

" Well, that's a bad tease! I want to go home! " he then take his bag on and tries to leave the room but somehow the door locked. " Wait.. why is it locked "

" Pftt.. ", Cyno laugh. " It's not locked, dummy. You just didn't do it right ", he walk to Tighnari and open the door himself. " See? "

Relieved, Tighnari then slowly walk out, watching Cyno who is walking with him.

" So uh, sorry, maybe I overreacted, here's my number. I can't give you the answer for it. It sounds like a Sugar Daddy-Baby relationship to me "

" It is " Cyno again look at Tighnari " But once you are mine, I will never let you go "

" I guess I can stay for a bit, until the rain stops though " he sigh in defeat, but face the man again " Mind if I borrow your shower? I want to take a bit break with the water "

" Sure? Do you want to borrow my clothes by any chance? " Cyno then take Tighnari's bag. " I have a spare room, if you want to stay for the night. I don't mind having you around "

" Well, then it decides then, I will stay for a night. I do need a new fresh pair of clothes though, I will clean them and give them back to you tomorrow ", Tighnari smiles to Cyno with made him flinched.

' Damn, you are so adorable, please don't do that to me, Nari ' Cyno thought himself.

" Okay then, the bathroom on the left, I'll be at my room " Cyno then walk to his room with the bag.

Tighnari just sigh again and walk himself to the bathroom. His eyes are blessed by how well decorated and clean the bathroom is. Who is he to judge, Cyno is wealthy after all!

" Oh my god, this is my kind of dream! " Tighnari squeaks, tail's wagging excitedly.

' Wait, I'm not here for fun, I'm just want to have a nice shower ', he face palms himself.

Tighnari slowly undress himself, his small waist showing around. Standing naked around the chilled room himself, he turn on the hot shower. As the water slowly drop on his white pale skin, the man himself hums a random song. He slowly open his eyes to enjoy the heat and smile to himself, calmly.

' This is so nice. I wish I can stay here forever '

" Nari, my love. I'm here with your clothes, can I come in? " Cyno standing outside the bathroom, only the door standing between him and the naked fennec.

" Stop with the nickname, Cyno. You can just put the clothes outside. Don't come in or I swear, I will bite your neck off! "

" Not a bad idea... My, my... " Cyno smirks and chuckle himself " I'm coming in "

" Wait! " the door open and Cyno look at the fennec who is covering his lower body with his tail, blushing to him. " I... I told you not to come in! Why would you come! Now, get out! " Tighnari pull the curtain to cover his body.

" F-Fuck! I'm sorry! " Cyno ran out the bathroom and went to his room, panting like he ran a marathon.

' D-Damn, is that what I could've see if I get to talk to him earlier... I am surely not going to let him go. He's perfect... ' Cyno smiling to himself ' Fuck! I forgot that I have to stream today! ' Cyno quickly close his door shut and open Twitch and starts streaming.

" Hi, it's Mahamantra Live, sorry that I didn't stream earlier! I was, doing something.... " Cyno huffed and the chat was immediately flooded with fans.

Tighnari finally finished with his beauty shower and changed to Cyno's hoodie and shorts. Standing near the mirror, he stare to his reflection from head to toe, Tighnari swirling around to look at himself.

' Why is it look, cute in me? This oversized hoodie does feel great. How big is this guy even is? I know he is taller than me, that's for sure. But, wait... " Eh? Didn't he say he's going to put it here? " Tighnari talk to himself then slowly walk to Cyno's room. He calmly knock the door, but no respond. Only Cyno who is screaming ' Die! ' and ' GG '. Again, he knock, still no response.

" Hey! Cyno! It's Tighnari! I want my bag, please? ", Still no response. " I'm coming in "

And shocked, Tighnari just froze to look that Cyno is streaming with the face cam on, focusing to his side, which made the chat able to see him. Panicked, Tighnari then shout,
" Cyno! " which made the man stare at him.

Tighnari little sweater paw melts his soul and then he shook his head to see, Tighnari actually trying to hide from the camera. " Nari, my love. Come here! "

" Oh shut up! You didn't tell me that you are streaming! "

" My, what with the attitude "

Cyno quits Bedwars and walk towards Tighnari, with his bag. " Come here, I need to talk " Cyno drag him out the room, leaving his stream on.

As Cyno walking back to his room, the stream went wild and his stream views went skyrocket. Cyno calmly sit back to his gaming chair and unmute his headset.

" Is there something I missed? ", Cyno ask his chat calmly while his chat still going ballistic about what they just saw.

I took Law, and he took something related to Herbology. I won't disclose anything anymore, and that's final. Come on, this is not a lover reveal stream! " Cyno blushes and cover his face off. ' This stream sucks, but atleast Nari wanna be my boyfriend... Is this a pretend relationship? Yeah, I think so. Maybe he will fall for me, that's for sure... Right? " Well, duh. Your stream, indirect love confession? I heard all of it ", his face formed an awkward smile.

" I thought... Nevermind, I don't have to be so secretive to you. Anyways, so you heard all of them, eh? What do you think about it? ", Cyno waiting for his reply.

" Well, it is very thoughtful of you to consider my feelings, I thank you for that. Second, how do I never even see you on highschool? "

Nervously laughing, Cyno just smile. " Remember the senior year of your highschool decided to make a school fair? I went there with a couple of friends then I walk by myself on the day 2. I am not a big fan of being in a crowded place, so I decided to check on the Science department instead. I think I went to the lab and then, I saw you with a blonde boy? He's your best friend, I think? You are giving the visitors a quick study of your project and I was there. I felt like I was struck by lightning " Cyno then laugh to himself. " Silly me, I tried to get close to you, but the man name Albedo ask me to go with a green hair girl instead. Not trying to be weird, I just follow her instead of greeting you. I tried to go to the Science department on the next day, but Albedo say that your booth is closed. I didn't give up though, I asked him about you from him and he just smile at me "

" What did he said? ", Tighnari getting invested with the story.

" He said and I quote, " Tighnari is a pretty popular around here, so I really think you are one of his newly fan. I never see you around here though? Nevermind with that, but if you want to get to know him, you can give him a call. I can give his number. I assume you are from other school since your uniform is not from one of here. Tighnari never a fan of love, so him wanting to get to know you is rather... odd if he does. He is very smart fennec, a very attractive one too. I don't have any advice for you, but maybe don't be such a creep to look for him. As his best friend, I want only the best for him and not into a forced relationship " Albedo said ", Cyno then hug Tighnari from the back. " But I glad tonight, I can have you by myself "

" Cyno, this is only a pretend relationship, okay? You need my attention, and I need your fund for my studies. After this, we are only friends. Did I made this clear? " Tighnari slowly huff.

Cyno then turned silent, but hug him tighter.
" I know ... But, you still can try and fall to me, right? "

" I never a fan of being in love, so it's hard for me. I... I will give you a chance, of course ",. Tighnari slightly blush and smile at him.

" I think you already fell for me " Cyno nuzzling on Tighnari's back. " Can we just sit like this for a while? "

" Sure... "

Minutes passed, the two of them slowly drifting themselves to sleep, hugging each other.

" Nari... I love you... Please just love me back ", he sleep talking.

The birds are chirping, the sun is shining, lighting the room where both Tighnari and Cyno are sleeping in.

The fennec hugs his tail while the jackal is hugging him softly from behind. Tighnari's phone rang and he quickly woke up from his lovely rest.

' Urgh! Who called in the early in the morning?! I was having a good sleep ' Tighnari forgot about the man on his bed and quickly take the call.

" Hello? "

" Tighnari? I just noticed that you aren't home, so I hope you are doing fine. Where are you now? Do you need me to get you? ", Albedo talking from the other line.

" Uh, about that... " then Cyno quickly snatch his phone and answer Albedo.

" He's on my bed, so don't worry much man. We'll be at the campus on 8AM, so don't worry about it "

" AYO?! TIGHNARI GETTING LAI— " and Cyno hangs the phone.

" Don't worry about it, I can give you a ride to the campus. We'll have breakfast first, then straight to the academia ", Cyno then walk out the room. " I'll use the shower first, you can choose a pair of my clothes in my room, take whatever you want. I bet you look cute in any of them " he winked and left.

' What the hell with this man?! I just met him last night and why is he treating me like a real boyfriend? '

Tighnari then walk out his room and open the big closet. Awed, he then look at each one of the shirt.

' Omg, this man is rich, rich. Look at all of those hoodie.... Oooo! This one looks nice! ', Tighnari took out a hoodie and noticed there was Cyno's name engraved on it neatly.

' Oh, it's his personal hoodie or something?  Maybe... I should look for another one first.. ' Tighnari continue looking at the bundle of hoodies.

After about 10 minutes, Tighnari gave up and held the same hoodie before. " Why is choosing so hard?! "

" Tsk, tsk. My dear, you're still looking for a perfect hoodie? " Cyno's leaning at the door, half naked, only with his towel wrapping his waist. " Oh, you want to wear my personal hoodie? How cute... Wear it, don't be shy " Cyno then whisper to his ear " Let the whole campus know that you are mine, Nari "

Backed out, Tighnari cover himself with the hoodie. " It's not like that! I was... This hoodie looks great, but I didn't notice that it actually one of your personal hoodie! I-I can choose another one! "

" Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just get ready and leave the room. You aren't going to see me naked, right? It's not a problem to me, I like you to admire my big co— " Tighnari covers his mouth.

" S-shut up! Don't say something embarrassing like that! I'm leaving, see you in 10 minutes " Tighnari stomping out the room with the same hoodie, making Cyno laugh.

Two of them then walk out the house and Cyno held Tighnari's hand, walking them to his car.

" You know, I can just walk to the campus... " Tighnari tries to escape from him.

" No " Cyno replied.

" Well, I'm just being honest about it. It's not like it will take me too long to go there ", Tighnari standing outside the car while Cyno just staring at him unamused.

" Come on, I just want to treat you some breakfast. After class, we meet again. Sounds good? I also have a few proposal too ", Cyno then step out the car and take Tighnari to seat on the right side. " See? It's not that hard to get in "

" Urgh, how much for the ride? "

" It's free, you don't have to worry about it. Besides, I'm here with you because you need my help and I require your service, which is, a real boyfriend "

" Nu-uh! I'm not your boyfriend, I'm the rented boyfriend " Tighnari explains " Anyways, where are we having breakfast?

" Starbucks, why? ", He starts driving.

" Isn't that like, super expensive? I can't afford that "

Cyno smiles to him, " Don't worry, love. I'll pay you everything. Let me just spoil you, okay? "

" It's still wrong of me to use your money! " Tighnari exclaimed.

" Don't worry, father gave me one of his cards, so it would be totally fine. Besides, I have to treat my wife something too so she will always stay happy "

It's been a few minutes of the two men fighting with each other in the car. It was all silence along the ride and it's killing Cyno's apart.

The car stopped at the parking lot, and Cyno look at Tighnari, worried.

Both of them enter Starbucks, still holding hands. Cyno quickly walk to the receptionist and order their breakfast. A chocolate cake caught the fennec's eyes which made his tail wagging excitedly. Noticed the unusual behavior or his newly boyfriend, Cyno fake coughing to get Tighnari's attention.

" Do you want that? ", Cyno pointing to the cake.

" No, I'm fine. I don't have enough money for that too ", Tighnari explains.

Cyno smirks and tell the receptionist to get cake which made Tighnari embarrassed. They quickly bring their orders to the table next to the window to enjoy their breakfast.

"The story behind that? Hello~??", Tighnari ask Kokomi who is smiling like an idiot "KO.KO.MI.!!", he pinching the girl's cheeks.

" Alright, alright! I'll say, I'll talk about it!", Kokomi then compose herself and the three boys leans towards her in excitement, and also very interested with the topic that she soon to be talking about.

Kokomi deeply sigh, " I will warn you, this will take a lot of my energy!" Albedo nodded and Xingqui already too enthusiastic about the story. Tighnari just being Tighnari.

"When I was 17, we went the same highschool. Back then, Haitham, Cyno and I are pretty popular amongst the students and actually the presentative of the school for some weird and important academic that can boost our certificate, that's what they said", Kokomi rolls her eyes and continue.

"Cyno is pretty much carefree person, he doesn't really care about things and Haitham is just there. He just sit, but he always the one who organized things. And I am the brain. I used to be the school disciplinary committee along with those two. By chance, Haitham and Cyno choose Sumeru as our highschool trip, so without hesitation, the Archon of Inazuma agreed. That's how we went to Sumeru. It was a 3 days 4 nights trip", Kokomi again sigh. " Gosh, this is hard to tell this old story"

"Okay, then, we are in the same group. There is one other girl with us, it's Nilou, the same Nilou from the Fine Art Department. So, she told us that Sumeru Highschool are having a Student Fair and at the same time, I known Albedo through Xingqui who is a student there. Both Haitham and Nilou went to the Art Department and Cyno and me went to the Science Department. I went to meet Albedo and Cyno were distracted by a certain feline with attractive ears. All I know, I think that's how Cyno met Tighnari for the first time. He does look pretty much frustrated when Tighnari left the room with a teacher and he were left with Sucrose instead", Kokomi laughs and both Albedo and Tighnari just chuckle.

Xingqui can't help but feel excited. "This is getting good! Come on, keep it going!"

"Before we left Sumeru High, I think both Cyno and Haitham look pretty much frustrated. When I ask Cyno, he said he couldn't talk to an attractive person from the Science Department. He figured that I knew someone from there and ask me to get your number though Albedo. I think I gave him Albedo's number but Albedo didn't give yours to him. Not to mention, Cyno sent a lot of letters every months to me, and I post them straight to Albedo, yet, no response. I don't know the rest of the story, but it is a little bit of a cliffhanger there. I think that's it! The end, period!", Kokomi again, sighed but with a better mood.

"I lost 20 energy points just because of that! Should I use my bubbles to reenergize?", she look towards Xingqui and he just nodded.

"But, that couldn't be the end! Albedo! What about your point of view?", Xingqui already invested with the story, demanding the other details that left out.

"I will tell the truth, but I require peace and quite than inside this room", Albedo said calmly and stood up from his seat. "Chop Chop! Let's go now, are you guys going or not?"

"We're coming!",the other three stands in sync and trying to catch up with Albedo's unusual pace. "Damn, please wait!"

"It's your fault that your legs are too short", he jokes and Kokomi just pouts.

"Geez, I know I am short, but you don't have to tell me shit"

"Thanks for the orders, 4 cups of boba tea and 2 cheese cakes with the side of 2 plate of pancakes. Did I get it right?", the cashier asking Albedo.

"Indeed sir, thanks for your service", he planted a smile and walk back to his seat which is next to Tighnari who is seating next to the windows. Kokomi and Xingqui just staring at Albedo, making him feel a little bit uncomfortable because of the sudden staring.

"Huh? Did I have shit on my face? What with the staring?", he nervously chuckled.

"Maybe, but your face screams 'sus' ", Xingqui assumed and smirks at him.

"Albe-DOOOOOOO! Please tell us about your point of view!", Kokomi demanding answers.

"Yeah, I am pretty much confused too. Why didn't you give me the letters from Cyno? There is a lot of things that you need to explain to me, y'know?", Tighnari tilting his head, looking a little bit irritated with his friend.

"Okay, if that what you are asking, then you will get the answer", he deeply sighed. "Okay, the story starts when I was transferred to Sumeru Highschool. My research was acknowledged by the Grand Sage, so they personally sent me an invite there. Alice sent me there, and guess who, my roommates is Tighnari and Kaveh. Tighnari is a very fascinating person to begin with and Kaveh is pretty much easygoing. Kaveh and Tighnari used to be the sweet lover boys types but one day, Tighnari came back to the dorms with his ruined eyeliner. He requested a 3 days rest and didn't leave the dorm room at all! I adore Tighnari a lot, not only his intelligence but his personality makes me even more attached to him", Albedo smiles towards Tighnari who is already smiling and holding his tears.

"I don't want Tighnari to be upset no more, I don't want him to lock himself away from the world just because it hurt him. It also affected me as well. I already considered both him and Kaveh as family, so it felt off if one went shut down. So that's why I didn't tell Tighnari about Cyno at all. I promised myself that I will tell him about Cyno, but I never thought that he is right there, still waiting for Tighnari. I must admit, it is a little selfish of me to gatekeeping my friend away from people, but I don't want Tighnari to be hurt again. I'm sorry, Nari. I understand if you doesn't want to talk to me again, but I did this for you"

A waiter came to their table and serves the treats. "Thanks for the orders, you people, enjoy yourselves", he left quickly as he arrived.

"So, yeah. That's all from me, and come on, this is my treat. Eat something" he smiles and Kokomi already smiling and giggling. Xingqui just holding his tears and Tighnari hugging Albedo.

"Thanks man, I didn't know you love me that much!", Tighnari happily hugging him.

"No worries, now, please eat something. You don't want to waste them, no?"

"Of course no! Come on guys, eat!", Tighnari joining Kokomi eating the pancakes and Xingqui just staring at Albedo.

"Never thought that you are a protective type, good God!"

"No comment, just eat, child"

"Okay ... Okay..."
