Summary
Theirs is an unripe passion — it’s obvious by the low whispers Jason mouths against Damian’s ear, honest praises that Damian might not fully believe in, but his flaming cheeks tell of a different story, betraying his apparent stoicism. He looks so much like his father, bottling up his emotions, along with the urge to surrender himself to the tide of affection he’s receiving.
Talia watches them closely, and in vain she wishes to shield her pup from the dangers he’ll inevitably be exposed to. She doesn’t want to see him heartbroken when Jason will leave, anguished when his grandfather will gift him with the most exigent of lectures: that love is a weakness, the opiate of a fool, and no al Ghul should fall for something so ridiculous.
