Small fics for the Miya pack verse

Summary:

Little ideas i have that i don't have the proper motivation to write full length fics for! Set in the Miya pack verse.

Chapter 1:“Come on now Sakusa, can’t say that about yours kids, gonna make people think you don’t love ‘em.”

“I love them more than life itself, but I think this is retribution for not wearing a condom.” he said frankly.

Children are gifts, everyone knows this, yet a teething pup might as well be a demon for all the terror it causes.

Notes:

Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you enjoy the fics! Please be kind as i have dyslexia (ironic i know) so if you see a word written wrong, or completely different word than you think it should be, please tell me in the comments so i can correct it!

Theses fics are gonno mostly be focused around the pups as i am feeling baby fever that i am way to young for, so this will be my coping mechanism for the near future!

I don't know about the update schedule as university is currently kicking my arse and im currently fighting the urge to drop out and get pregnant.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: "Is this retribution?"

Chapter Text

Kiyommi is exhausted.

Aneko had just started teething, and proving to everyone that she was in fact Atsumu daughter (despite looking like a carbon copy of Kiyoomi, something he has yet to hear the end of) has kept everyone up for the past two weeks. Eiji, in compassion to Aneko, had been the easiest baby every. He had slept through the night by the time he was two weeks to the amazement of all of his parents. He however had one fault, which was that he was a sympathy crier, which meant that the both of them hadn’t slept for more than two hours in weeks.

Osamu had taken both to the doctors within a week, because surly crying to this degree wasn’t normal, however to everyone’s horror, Aneko was just having a hard time as her teeth were coming in slower than normal.

While Kiyoomi would never wish his children to have delayed development, this was all happening at a really bad time!

The Olympics had just finished, which meant 3 out of the four adults in the house were still dealing with not only the physical exhaustion, but also the workload as the amount of press conferences and social media bits had yet to slow down due to the slowly dying hype. On top of that Osamu had to deal with a minor emergency at one of his branches in Tokyo, meaning he’d been gone for the past couple of days, with exception of coming home once to drop of the literal bottles of breastmilk before immediately shooting back off.

Which meant the burden (sorry, treasure) of his children was fully on the three athletes. It was honestly a miracle that his and Atsumus schedules had yet to clash with Rins.

All of this once again leads to the fact that Kiyoomi is exhausted.

“Bokuto, what would you say your crowing achievement at the Olympics was?”

His head slipped from where had been resting on his hand, nearly face planting the table where his water and oversized muffin lay, remembering at the last moment that he couldn’t put his head down for a nap like he so desperately wanted as he was in the middle of a panel about ….. something…..

He looked to his left, trying to ignore Bokuto who was attempting to eat the muffin while also answering the question on his right, to Atsumu who in no better shape than him.

Reaching over to pinch his mate, while also grabbing his shirt at the predicament he would fall out the very uncomfortable chair.

Atsumu jolted backwards from where he had been slanted over the table, saved only kiyoomis tight grip, “Omi!” he hissed. Kiyoomi could almost scent his pheromones turning sharp in shock, contrasting from the previous scent of exhaustion that would was hidden by the scent patch.

“If I cant sleep, you can’t either,” Kiyoomi nodded over to foster, who’s eyebrow had risen with each near nap.

Atsumu grumbled to himself, learning into the distracted forehead kiss, before clearly dragging his attention to the reporter that was asking a follow up question.

Kiyoomi followed, his eyes immediately focusing on Bokuto who had somehow manged to get the chocolate muffin everywhere. Immediately his children flashed through his mind, and he reacted on his new instincts.

Eyes barely open, he got the wipes he never left the house without, grabbing Bokutos chin and forcing him to face him as he efficiently wiped off all the crumbs before doing the same with his hands that weren’t moving for once. He didn’t think twice about the sudden silence nor that Bokuto had stopped talking and was staring at him with eyes so wide they might as well be plates.

Kiyoomi moved Bokuto face from side to side, glancing at his hands before nodding in satisfaction, binning the wipe.

“uhm, Sakusa-senshu?”

“Hm, yes?” he asked, looking towards the baffled reporter. He frowned, looking around the room for the explanation, only to see the rest of the room staring at him, Foster in the back having turned to face the wall, but Kiyoomi could see his shoulders shaking.

He sluggishly turned to look at his mate for answers, just in time to watch Atsumus head drop, his shoulders shaking as loud giggles followed.

“What? Is there something on my face?” Even his mind was moving to slow to try and figure why everyone was suddenly looking at him.

“No!” Atsumu was now leaning into him, still laughing uncontrollably. A bit too uncontrollably, Kiyoomi suddenly regretted not letting Atsumu have a quick nap despite the coaches guaranteed scolding. Atsumu took a deep breath in an attempt to regreen control, “I think their looking because you just wiped bo-kun down like he’s one of our pups.”

“Oh”, Kiyoomi knew he should feel embarrassed, would properly feel embarrassed once he’d actual slept, but right now he was struggling to find the will to live, never mind the effort to care about the opinion of a bunch of strangers.

“Sorry, but your messier than my pups with yogurt” He said bluntly, “and I’m currently not thinking straight.”

Bokuto laughed, slapping one of his large hands against kiyoomis shoulder, “Pups keeping you up? When’s the last time you slept?”

“Anekos teething, I’ve not slept in days.” He said honestly, eyes glazed over in thought “I’m pretty sure this is what hell is.”

Laughter erupted from the room, and Kiyoomi jumped in surprise, having forgotten the rest of the room in his exhaustion. He suddenly registered the heavy weight leaning on his shoulder, only to come face with his mate who had apparently slipped of to sleep in the mere seconds the conversation took.

Meian leaned forward from further down the table, teasing grin on his face, “Come on now Sakusa, can’t say that about yours kids, gonna make people think you don’t love ‘em.”

“I love them more than life itself, but I think this is retribution for not wearing a condom.” he said frankly, scowling at the literal burst of laughter from the room, causing the headache he’d carried around for the past couple of days to intensify

“Miyas!” Coach had composed himself but his face was still twisted in amusement, “Go home, before you embarrass yourself further!”

“Yes coach,” Kiyoomi would thank him, but right now he was struggling to wake his passed out mate. “Sweetheart, love we can go.”

Atsumu moaned as he turned further into Kiyoomi to try to avoid his hands shaking him, “Go? Go where?”

“Home”

“Nooo!” Atsumu whined, “shes going to be there!”

Kiyoomi sighed, ignoring the further laughter, “This is what you signed up for when we had her.”

Atsumu pouted, “I signed up for a baby, not a demon.” Yet despite this, he sat up rubbing his eyes as he tried to collect his flask that Kiyoomi was pretty sure held another caffeine to kill a horse.

The rest of the team was silent, letting them go without comment though he saw a few of them turning red in effort to control their laughter.

He hummed barely remembering to bow in thanks to the reports before making his escape, practically dragging Atsumu along with him.

They made it outside, Atsumu only running into one door before Kiyoomi could react.

“I’ve already called a taxi.” He stated, turning to see Atsumu having collapsed on a bench, already nodding off, “It should be here in 20 minutes.”

He scowled at that, irritation at not being able to welcome his bed in tears sooner. Sighing, he decided there was nothing to do about it, moving to sit next to Atsumu on the cold, steel bench that looked ever so comfortable the wight of his own body becoming to much to keep standing.

Kiyoomi pulled Atsumu closer, welcoming the heavy weight on his shoulder, resting his arm on the arm of the bench to hold his own head as he accidentally nodded off, joining his mate in slumber.

“Atsumu!”

Atsumu let out a sharp gasp as he shoot up, reaching out on instinct for his pup. He registered the empty weight and sudden panic hit him, looking around widely for his pup. Where was his baby?!

“Atsumu!” Hinata shout caught his attention, looking at him in worry with his hands reached towards him.

“Hinata? What are you doing here? Why ar-“ Atsumu shook his head, trying to concentrate, “My pups! Where are my babies!?” He was still looking around wildly around him, his surroundings blurry and not making sense, “where are Aneko and Eiji!?

“Atsumu, calm down!” Hinata shouted, trying to ignore the horrid scent of a panicking omega mother that was so strong it seeped through the scent patch. He kneeled down, trying to make himself look less like a threat to the now growling omega, knowing that any threatening move would lead to Atsumu attacking him out of instinct. He took off his own scent patch, trying his best to calm the mother, “They’re at home with Suna!” He said urgently, trying to calm omega before his alpha woke in a similar instinctively state.

Atsumu paused, breathing hard, mind still racing along side his heart at the terror of waking up without his pups. As he took calming breaths, the sports centre started to come into focus, as well as the realisation that he and Kiyoomi had yet to go home.

“Oh my god,” Atsumu sighed, resting a hand on his heart as he tried to calm down, the sick feeling of horror at thinking his pups were missing still clinging to the back of his throat. “Oh my god,” He repeated, as a wave of weariness washed over him as well as the frustration of having another ‘attack’.

Atsumu had lost count of the amount of times he had shoot awake in the middle of the night, lost in the terror of thinking one of his pups were missing or had stopped breathing in their sleep. They had slowed down as the months passed but Aneko teething had increased the frequency due to the lack of sleep, something that Atsumu absolutely despised.

“Hey,” Hinata said softly, “come on, kageyama and me will take you two home.” Kageyama moved forwards from where he had been a safe distance away, face giving nothing away, but nodding in agreement.

Atsumu rubbed his hands over his face, “Yes please, thank you.” He turned to wake Omi, who was surprisingly still asleep. “darlin’, we need to go.”

Kiyoomi showed no signs of waking, quit literal sleeping like the dead, Atsumu shrugged before slapping him across the face semi-gently.

Kiyoomi shoot awake with a growl, before catching himself, turning to look at Atsumu with an unamused look.

“You wouldn’t wake up,” he shrugged, before leaning forward to kiss the check he’d just slapped, unintentionally letting Kiyoomi quickly scent him.

The alpha quickly wrapped his arms around Atsumu, the omega melting into him and nuzzling into his scent glad where his mate bite lay, both of them having lost their scent patches somewhere.

“What happened?” Kiyoomi growled, nosing at his gland trying to get rid of the bitter scent that could only mean fear.

“Nothing,” Atsumu sighed, ignoring his piercing gaze, “Really nothing. I just want to go home and scent the pups.”

Kiyoomi put the dotes together, heart squeezing in sympathy, knowing that Atsumu had been waking up in hysterical terror over the pups more due to the lack of sleep.

“Come on, Shouyou is giving us a lift.”

Kiyoomi nodded, looking at his phone to realise that nearly an hour had passed meaning they had missed their taxi and been charged a fee, though he couldn’t find the will to care about the wasted money.

The journey passed quickly, Atsumu unable to slip back of to sleep without seeing his babies, he ignored the worried looks shot over by Hinata, not wanting to start a conversation about his dramatic reaction.

Saying quick goodbyes, they took the lift for once instead of the stairs.

They walked into the flat, ready but despairing to greet the loud wails, however instead there was only silence, quite blissful silence.

Atsumu looked at Kiyoomi in shock, a similar look greeting him back.

He didn’t bother saying welcome to the house, not wanting to break whatever miracle had happened, walking in slowly just as Suna turned the corner to meet them.

Rin looked identical to himself, days old cloths with greasy skin and deep purple bags under his eyes, however a wide smile was plastered on his face as he cradled an asleep Eiji.

The moment Atsumus gaze landed on his pup, he shot forward.

Now Rin was a brave man and a brave alpha, but he had long learned to never get in between an omega and their pup. Saying that he quickly reached out just in time for the omega to gently snatch the pup out of his hands, immediately moving him up to nuzzle his head where the milky scent was the strongest.

“Why is it quite?” Kiyoomi whispered, looking down the hall to the nursery/nest. “Is Aneko ok?” He asked in sudden worry.

Rin just smiled wider, “she’s better than ok, she’s stopped teething!” he said in glee.

Atsumu didn’t say anything, just moved down the hall to find her, unable to rest till he had both pups in arms reach.

He entered his nest, scent blooming to fill the room the second his laid his eyes on his other sleeping pup, Atsumu let out a sigh as he leaned over the crib to stroke a chubby check, the tension that had been on heart finally releasing.

Kiyoomi followed just in time to watch Atsumu re-swaddle Eiji, Rin never doing it tight enough in fear of hurting the pup. He leaned against the door, waiting for permission to enter as well as just watching mate fully relax.

Atsumu meet his eyes with a purr, placing the pup in the cradle on the floor next to the nest with Aneko. Kiyoomi sat next to him, leaning over him to slowly scent each pup, Atsumu taking the chance to inhale as much of his scent as possible.

By the time Kiyoomi was done, he was in deep sleep, letting out the occasionally purr. Kiyoomi layed down, dragging Atsumu into his arms and followed his mate into sleep for the first time in days. Rin soon joined them, collapsing next to the other alpha in his own exhaustion.
