Chapter Text
This is Ash Ketchum. Our hero decided he no longer wanted to be 10. He is now 17. We follow him and Pikachu as they explore the amazing world of Pokémon.
He runs over to Professor Oak’s lab to say hello. And what do ya know? He sees Gary! He walks over to him and aggressively taps him on the shoulder. Gary turned around and smirked.
“What’s up, Ashy-boy?” Gary said. Gary is interning at his grandfather’s lab to assist. Ash thought it was interesting that even though Gary found a new passion, he’d always be the same person. He remembers that conversation he had with Gary back in Johto. Ash smiles for a second, then his smile immediately falls upon hearing that nickname.
“What’re you doing here?” I asked him unenthusiastically. Pikachu was on Ash’s shoulder, both their facial expressions matching.
Gary didn’t look all too amused. He retorts, “Aren’t you the one that tapped me on the shoulder?”
“Whatever, dude. Where’s your old man?” asked Ash as he looked around for anywhere Professor Oak could be. He looked back at Gary, who seemed to show 10 different types of emotions. Ash braced himself for the response.
He hesitated. “He’s at your house… ”
“HE’S WHERE?!” Ash yelped.
“PIKAAAA?!” Pikachu yelled.
“Yup, at your house with your mom.” Gary somehow found this amusing and began to giggle.
Ash was baffled out of his mind. “You’ve got to be joking.”
“I don’t joke, Ashy-boy,” he laughed.
“If they get too close, we’ll be related… You do know that, right?” Gary stopped laughing. He realized the situation at hand.
“We need to stop them! I can’t be related to you!” He instantly stood up and pointed at Ash.
Ash just shrugged. “Yeah, I don’t really care. Cya later, Gary-boy!” he waved off and walked away. Gary’s jaw dropped as he sat there dumbfounded.
“Now, time to go to Pewter City to pick up Brock’s siblings,” he said to Pikachu. Ash was given the duty of picking up all of Brock’s siblings. He walks to Pewter City to go to their school. Ash goes into the aftercare area only to see them having a food fight?! Suddenly, Ash is attacked by Spaghetti! So’s Pikachu. It’s a disaster! He groans in disgust and yells at them to hurry up or else Brock will be mad. They line up in a single file line and follow Ash to the house. Brock sees this and smiles.
“How they grow so fast…” he says as he tears up.
“What’re you talking about, dude?” Ash looks at Brock in confusion.
“Nothing. What’re you gonna do about your clothes?” Brock says, pointing at his very tasty attire.
“Just buy some new ones.” Ash walks to the store before Brock can offer to wash them and save money because that is the cool thing to do. Ash walks into the store and fills the store with a spaghetti aroma. Misty smells this and looks for the dumbass who had decided it was a good idea to eat in the store. She sees Ash talking to the front desk lady. She gasps, seeing Ash in such a wretched state. Pikachu took off in a different direction and began walking around, leaving spaghetti footprints everywhere.
“ASH!!!!” Misty yelps.
Ash turns around and says, “Do you really gotta scream in the store?”
“Says the guy covered in spaghetti!”
“Well, that’s why I’m at the clothing store, duh,” he said sarcastically.
Misty’s jaw dropped. How dare he talk to her like that? She grabbed him by the arm, grabbed some clothes (that just so happened to be the clothes he’s wearing right now), and yeeted him into the clothing room, and after 10 seconds, he was done and clean. She scoured the store following Pikachu’s footprints and cleaned him too.
Suddenly, Misty is about to purchase an item. But wait, Jessie pops out of nowhere and snatches the dress, and Misty’s primal instincts kick in. Now they’re fighting for it. Ash is standing by the counter waiting for them to finish, while James is at the cash register trying to bargain for a limited edition bottle cap.
“But you don’t understand. I need this in my life. It’s so wonderful.” Tears began to swell up.
“Sir, you have to have a membership fee in order to get this,” said the lady at the front desk.
“Fuck that.” He steals the bottle cap and tells Jessie to hurry up because he just stole something.
Jessie looks back at Misty and says, “I won’t let you get away with this you twerpette.” And they’re both gone in a flash.
“Wait, where was Meowth?” Misty questions.
Ash stands there, shrugs, and walks out of the store. Misty is dumbfounded.
“So you’re just going to walk away?!” she yells.
“Yes, I’m busy,” he deadpanned.
“Well, okay. You still haven’t bought me that bike.” Her brows furrow at the memory of that bike.
“Misty, for the last time, stop it with the bike. If you want to travel with me, just say it. Also, if you just bought a dress, you can buy a bike for yourself.”
“But you’re the one that has to pay for it.”
“Bullshit.” Her jaw dropped once again. Ash and Pikachu disappeared into the distance.
