River was in the back when she heard someone stumble in. She ignored it, trusting Rose to be able to handle it.
So she was obviously a bit worried when she still heard talking a few minutes later and went to the door connecting the main room and storage are.
And so, she was very surprised when she saw the Doctor talking to Rose. Except it appeared as though he hadn't taken a look at her face yet.
Which made a bit of sense since she was also waring a veil. So, she listened into the conversation some more.
"So, let me get this right. Your a witch?"
"Yes, was it my pointy hat or the floating broom that gave me away?" Rose asked. Her voice dripping with sarcasm.
And that's when River noticed it. So she decided to step forward and point it out.
"Actually Sweetheart, I think it might be because the cauldron is smoking."
Slowly Rose's eyes widened and she simply went, "Fuck, it is not meant to be doing that. River, love of my life. Can you help me with this?"
"'Course Sweetheart," a sly smile on River's face as she looked at the Doctor. His mouth dropped.
"Now, now Sweetie. Pick your mouth up off the floor." She winked at him as Rose looked at her questionably.
"River..?" was what finally came from his mouth, "How are you here? Your supposed to be-"
"Dead? Uploaded to the hard drive in The Library?" River's eyebrow raised, "Come now Sweetie, do you really think I'd die that easily?"
Rose turned to River, her eyes not willing to take this shit right now.
"Darling? Would you care to introduce me to your friend?"
With a smirk on her face River said, "Happily, Sweetheart. This is the Doctor."
Rose blinked slowly several times, then out come, "What..?" then she turned to face him.
Lifting the veil covering her face, "Doctor? Did you really fucking regenerate again?!"
"Actually Sweetheart, this is his second regeneration since he last saw you."
Then, the person is question simply asked one word, "Rose?"
"Yes, who else would I be Doctor? Shake? No we both know I'm shiver. Hope and Glory? Though I don't think you ever specified which one I was was."
With that Rose turned to River who was taking this all in with a smirk on her beautiful face. Walked towards her, kissed her and said, "Can you take of the rest of this? I don't think I can right now."
"Of-course Sweetheart. You go do whatever and I'll finish this up," smiling sweetly she stole another kiss from Rose and turned to the Doctor.
"Now Sweetie, I imagine you have a lot of things you want to say but aren't. So let me make this very clear. Rose is not going back to Pete's Universe. She is staying right here with me, since everyone else there is now dead for her.
"You really should've checked to see if Bad Wolf had any major lasting effects. Since she currently, is as far as we are able to tell. Is immortal. So please, go somewhere else. And if you ever see us again, don't try to take us away from each other."
"Why? Why shouldn't I try to take you away from each other?" The Doctor inquired.
"Because Sweetie, me and Rose are married. So please leave the store now if you aren't going to buy anything."
With that River turned away to head to the storage area, and the Doctor eventually left.
