Chapter Text
Shen Qingqiu sat in the cell of the waterprison waiting. The trial was two days away. He's been starved, beaten, and mocked the entire time. Doesn't matter. He's used to everything fall apart for him.
"My, my, that look of yours is quite intriguing."
His eyes shot up. Standing in front of him was a woman. She looked like a foreigner and was dressed in strange black clothing. The woman bend down and touched his face.
"You're used to this, aren't you?," she asked. "Being beaten, berated, betrayed."
Shen Qingqiu frowned. "Who are you?"
The woman smiled and answered," I am Eris, the goddess of discord."
The cultivator's eyes widened.
"Well, I'm not from this pantheon. I was just wandering around when heard about your trial and wanted to see you for myself," the goddess said. "I also just read your memories just now."
Shen Qingqiu growled," how dare you?"
The goddess starred him down. "I do as I please, know your place."
A rush of fear went through Shen Qingqiu. This woman is not someone to anger.
"Yes, my lady."
"You will refer to me as your queen!"
"Yes, my queen."
Eris smiled ,"good."
She touched his face again. "I want to destroy this place. Those happy faces annoy me but I want to give you the official right to carry it out."
Shen Qingqiu was about to say something when Eris stopped him.
"I know you "convinced" yourself of being a worthless creature."
She unties the immortal binding cables.
"However, we both know you wouldn't have survived this long if that was the truth."
Eris grabs Shen Qingqiu by his arms and hoist up.
"My queen, what do you plan doing with me?," Shen Qingqiu dared to ask.
Eris smiled. "To make you my first apostle, of course."
Shen Qingqiu tilted his head. "Apostle? What is that?"
The goddess muttered," I knew the gods in this pantheon were stingy but seriously?"
She sighed," an apostle is a type of demigod that serves actual gods and carry out their orders."
"Demigod? Why me?"
Eris shrugged. "Meh, I just want to see this place destroyed. Cultivation shouldn't exist in my opinion because it makes the humans too arrogant."
"So you're going to make me destroy cultivation?"
"No, I'm pretty sure it'll be forgotten in a few centuries but I want cultivators to know the fear of gods."
Shen Qingqiu asked," so you just want me to put them in check?"
"Pretty much," Eris said. "There's no real need to worry about your safety. You can't die. I also gave you some powers destruction to help."
"Why me, though?"
Eris said," why not? You're currently the cultivation world's enemy. I want to see the looks on their faces when that very person they wanted to destroy has ascend to a higher status!"
She summons a giant war hammer and hands it to Shen Qingqiu.
"Now, for you first order, destroy this place," she said in a dark tone. "The gold here makes me want to puke and don't be afraid kill anyone who stands in your way."
With that Eris disappeared.
-
The sound of joyful laughter filled the air as Shen Qingqiu began destroying everything. He's not sure what it was that made him so...excited. Maybe, it was Eris's power or all those years of holding back his anger.
Whatever it was the cultivators stood no chance. The ones who ran he didn't care for, but the sounds of skulls being crushed and blood everywhere was satisfying. In his pursuit of destruction he ran into the old palace master and his daughter.
He had great joy bashing their screaming heads together until they became mush. Some cultivators managed to cut him but the wounds healed instantly and were painless.
Qiu Haitang was found trying to escape. Those years of that girl treating him like a doll in the manor came back to him. Her claim of "treating him as family" was bullshit. She only favored servants for a short while playing house with them until she got tired and complained to her perverted brother.
He remembers a female servant whom she claimed was her "best friend" until the girl played a game wrong was Qiu Haitang said she didn't want to be friends with her anymore.
The girl was beaten to death.
Shen Qingqiu tortured Qiu Haitang to death for every servant she sent to their demise.

Walking out of the now destroyed Huan Hua palace Shen Qingqiu took a breathe of relief. Today, was his first step in true happiness.
