Summary
Four months had passed since Sumeru’s crisis unfolded. The aftermath had its fair share of twists, turns, and bumps in the road: namely, the termination of the Akasha system and the overhaul of the Akademiya.
As the Grand Scribe, Al-Haitham had encountered constant work, a never-ending storm, during those four months, and in Kaveh’s eyes, when overworked, not even given time to indulge in his personal interests, Al-Haitham became far more intolerable. A bitch. After enduring for four months, he couldn’t stand it anymore. So one day, like many others, Kaveh acted with his heart: he took a portion of Al-Haitham’s mora, gathered his friends, and retreated to Lambad’s tavern for the night. However, he’d also left Al-Haitham a note for when he would return home—an appeal join him. Archons knew Al-Haitham needed a drink or two or several.
Little did either comprehend the night at the tavern would lead them through a series of trials and tribulations that would test their relationship.
And for a man of rationality, what value did emotion hold? Could Al-Haitham love something besides his books?
