Chapter Text
The sunlight was giving it's light to their apartment, starting the afternoon after a morning full of clouds.
"Pium, Piyum!!! Hahahahgagag take this!" A blond haired girl exclaimed, playing a shooter videogame on her basement house. Her surroundings was a bit messy, with movies and games scattered, which didn't really seem to bother her. She pressed the buttons quickly, moving her arms as effect of her concentration.
"Chisato, could you a least help me wash the dishes?"
Said girl made a slight groan, "but is your turn today, Takina!"
"It's my turn everyday..." Takina talked back after sight in discomfort, tapping one of her feet on the floor. She wasn't exactly angry, just not confortable with the house duty arrangement.
It's been around three days since the Lycoris were assigned to be on pairs all day as most of them were starting to be hunted down, which naturally made Takina stay at Chisato's side, and as much she liked the idea, so far everything went wrong for her...
For starters, Chisato was naturally very childish, making her slack off in her household duties, and as someone with very sharp sight, Takina was pretty much doomed deciding the chores schedule, dumping everything to her.
Why I agreed to this to begin, ugh... not matter how many times, I can't win.
She took a glance of her partner, who was focused in her game. A smug smile on her lips, as her fingers pressed the controller buttons quickly as possible, being an expert with guns would for certain gave her advantage in those shooters. Takina liked see her like this, all her expressions were amusing.
"My team won, yeahhh!" Chisato chanted, leaving the controller on the table. She then rest her back on the couch, "isn't great we have this two days just for us? We practically worked the whole week!"
Mika assigned many task for them this month, dealing with shady business or minor helps to their partners department, somehow with time to help in the cafe as well. They both overworked to the point Mika wanted them to take it easy this two days, since they both were not part of DA.
Takina didn't shared much of Chisato's enthusiasm though.
"Is not a excuse to laze around..." Takina rolled her eyes, as Chisato giggled at the comment.
"Let's play a videogame together, Takina!"
Aware of how tired her friend must feel, Chisato though it would help her relax, since she usually would just train otherwise.
Takina finished with the last dish and raise an eyebrow, "It's been years since I tried one, are you sure?" She sat next to Chisato, undoing her ponytail.
"Yup, this one is fun for two people!" Chisato changed the Ps4 disc and insert another one, as her friend was wondering which. Her answer arrived as soon Chisato selected the game.
"Persona 4 Arena Ultimax?"
"Yup, I used to play the arcade some years ago, I wanted to play it again."
"Fine, if you say is fun."
They both picked their characters and started the fight.
"Wow, you choose Yukiko! Hehe, I will win this fine, we got this Yosuke!"
Takina was confused by what she said yet just let it pass since she actually never played the game before. Surprisingly, she was able to figure out and memorize some combos easily, mixing distance with the fan, fire, and the persona of her character.
Taken off guard, Chisato tried to use the speed of her character to her advantage, baiting Takina to surprise her with confusion and midair Kunais, tactics she practices very often when she tried to play competitive.
Somehow they were very even, now in the extra third round.
"You're good at this!? Didn't you said you never played?"
"I mean, this combos are too basic..."
Exasperated, Chisato kept her composture pressing the buttons, as much her eyes were really perceptive, she can't peek at her friend's hands and the game at the same time. The fact Takina already knew this made her feel at ease, a boost in her confident to win against Chisato.
Eventually both health bar were almost at zero, with the both of them evading the other attacks, "Come on, I got this, I got this!" Chisato just pressed buttons randomly at this point, as she already knew her enemy weaknesses.
Yet Takina just lowered her eyebrows slightly, despite her looks she wanted to win so badly.
Chisato was number one in everything she already knew to do, and was more wanted by DA than she would always be. She will take for granted any win against her at anything, so she smiled unconsciously seeing her struggle at this.
Despite this, Takina respected her as a Lycoris, and... she really values her friendship a lot, more than she probably believes. Since the day she was assigned as her partner, got used to the new lifestyle, she feels more at ease than she would at DA.
Now living together, it wasn't a first for her, and Chisato could be more collaborative with chores, even so she have fun.
Takina was giving her all in this match, to finally let out this little frustration!
"LET'S GOOOOO"
"Geez..."
But Chisato won at the end. She already played the game for years after all.
"That was so fun Takina, I didn't knew you're good a fighting games, why didn't you told me!"
"I'm not, I just read the combo list and memorize how you usually play, nothing special." Takina explained, shrugging the praise.
"Not many can really do that, oh my gosh it took me by surprise, I was so fired up!" To her surprise, Chisato gave her a hug, which made Takina got stiff by it, "You're the best roommate I could've ever ask!
"Don't be so..." but she just sighed, "forget it, glad you're happy." A little smile appeared on her face, one Chisato noticed quickly as she continued the hug mumbling a sweet melody.
Takina already got used to her hugs, annoying at first, now... she didn't really mind them.
