Jihoon smiled as he prepared breakfast for that day.
Jeonghan assured him that he shouldn't bother, that they could always go out to eat.
But when he wants to kill time, he can't find a better way to do it than cooking.
He wasn't an expert, not at all, but he had always prepared decent dishes, and it was almost therapeutic for him in a way.
"Isn't it too early yet?"
His smile widened at hearing the sudden question.
At what time had the eldest arrived?
He shot him a look over his shoulder, raising an eyebrow.
"Good morning to you too" He joked, going back to his business "And not really, It's almost time to get the children up to go to school."
"You know that I can take care of getting them ready perfectly fine..."
"As I also know you're tired and deserve a good couple of minutes to sleep"— He challenged lightly, dividing the food into four plates to take them to the table "I've already told you that I have no problem taking charge at times."
Jeonghan's desperate but tender gaze fell on him.
How he loved reveling in those soft-sighted brown eyes every morning.
Or those lips that were held in a sweet smile.
Ever since he had accepted the elder's request regarding not going to Busan, things changed drastically.
But at least it was for the better.
Only they still hadn't defined exactly what was going on between the two of them.
He sighed lightly, finishing setting the table together with the other.
"I appreciate your help, I really do, Jihoon" Jeonghan admitted, staring at him and letting out a soft laugh "But remember that they are my children, not yours."
It was in a joking tone, clearly being a joke on the older's part.
But still, he felt a certain pang inside him.
There were times when he felt unsure of his place in this house, not knowing how he fits in.
He lived with the Yoon family, but he was not a member of it.
He was only there because he had nowhere else to go, and they were very good with him.
And for that he was totally grateful, willing to do anything to be able to help them in whatever way he knew.
He smiled, trying not to let his negative thoughts affect him so much, and with a calm voice he went to wake up Hansol and Seungkwan.
The time would come when he could think well about his place there.
