Chapter Text

As lovely a Thursday fall morning as it was, There's nothing you can do about rampaging unhappy children in flu shot season.

The catastrophes that happen at this time aren't usually discussed, like unspoken rules.

At this time of year, small children who do not yet have any control over their newly emerged quirks throw a lot of tantrums, causing some major shit.

So naturally, you’re bound to have to go to a quirk specialist at least once in your life, similar to how everyone's gonna end up with a cast someday. Unluckily for Kaminari Denki, this would be his 3rd time seeing the specialist. This. Week.

The single most bothered person was Aizawa, as it was 2 times his student went spontaneously missing, and 8 hours later got a call from the hospital about his absence. The first time he got covered in an acid that caused him to float away literally. 2nd time,

He shuttered at the thought of that one. It was an absolutely awful 2 days, being that Tuesday and Wednesday. For all the teachers, not just Aizawa.

Today was a solemn Thursday morning, and as his- the kids strolled into homeroom, he couldn't help but not notice the absence of Presentations Micheal respawn child.

It actually wasn't until the bell rang that he figured out why it was just so weirdly dull- quiet. Yeah, quiet in the classroom.

“Sero. Come here.”

The boy snapped his head around to face the teacher, looking confused and nervous.

The other 3, Bakugou, Kirishima, and Ashido stopped by the door to see if they could wait for their friend.

Aizawa looked back at the ravenette, ensuring their permission.

“Where was Denki today? I never got an email from him.”

Sero seemed to relax for just a moment, seeing as though he wasn't in trouble, but then the worry came right back.

“Well, he’s at the dorms, but we don’t know why he didn’t come today.”

“Did you ask?”

Ashido cut in, scurrying over to the pair. “Yeah! We did, but all he said was to go to class without him… he sounded like he was crying…”

“Here.” The teacher said, taking a pen and a sticky note from the relatively cluttered, with gifts from Eri, desk. He scribbled out their names respectively onto 4 of them and passed them out.

They were late slips, allowing the 4 to be excused from being no more than 30 minutes late to their next classes. “Go check in on him.”

With that, the crew speed-walked out the doorway, and Aizawa sighed.
‘If that kid got out of sorts with another pissy toddler, I’m gonna have to call his parents.’

As expected, the sorta-goth teacher hates having to contact parents. They always got mad at him! There’s literally nothing one man, even if it's Aizawa, could do to get that class under control for more than 4 minutes and 56 seconds.

Yes, that is the record, and yes it was a bet.

Sighing loudly again, he casually looked through some submitted assignments, giving either 20/20 if there were no immediate errors, 10/20 if it looked plagiarized, or clearly, the supposed “Word count” they were required to put was bullshit and the two 0/20s for the two that didn’t turn it in.

Right on cue, in comes a Recovery Girl intern, a frail but lean boy with brown curly hair and a bag that had a red and blue sleeve hanging out. ‘Huh, I've seen that somewhere’ he thought. The child took two seconds to compose himself before speaking.

“Sorry, Sir Mr. Eraserhead sir, but Miss. Recovery Girl sent for you. She said to tell you “It’s that Pikachu boy again.”

“Oh of course.”

Aizawa stood up slowly, basically dragging himself. Annoyingly, the boy was following awkwardly behind, looking as though he wanted to say something. Finally, he did.

“Sir, if I might ask, has this “Pikachu ‘boys’” quirk got something to do with feline transformation? Or physical transformation in general?

Taken aback, the towering man paused. “What?”

“Well, I assume the problem with him is somehow getting stuck in another form, like a quirk malfunction?”

“No, not exactly. But not too far off either. What happened to him?”

“Sir he’s a cat. A kitten, specifically speaking. I believe more specifically a Tabby cat, but that was just from the glance I got at-”

The boy realized he was several paces behind the teacher from classroom A-1, ‘why did he speed up?’ and jogged to catch up.

“God, you mumble like Midoriya. Voice be any higher and I might mistake you for him.”

As embarrassment crept onto his freckle-dusted face in the form of redness, he zipped it and just followed a ways behind.

The door squeaked open, revealing those four he let off just about 22 minutes ago, Recovery girl on the phone, and the cutest, fluffiest, most squeezable kitten the Pro Hero thinks he has ever seen. Knows he has ever seen. How could you blame him?

“Huh, I suppose we all know how this happened?”

Ashido grinned at the furbaby, with Denki scowling right back.

Sero was tickling the kittens' ears with a brush, making them twitch, and laughing maniacally.

Bakugou was recovering from what was likely a laughing fit at the sight of the boy-now-cat.

Kirishima gave an airy laugh, looking awfully done and tired with this week.

Felt that.

“I'll go call around to see if there's a specialist that can turn-”

“Don’t bother ‘Raserhead. The only one remotely close is out of town for the next few days.”
She explained, putting the phone back into place. Once all the way over to Aizawa she whispered, covering her mouth from the feline's sight “Plus, maybe it would be good for me, and for him, to have to stay like this a while.”

The Teacher agreed for 2 reasons. One, she was right. Maybe it would be good for him to suffer a little. And Two, how could Aizawa, the man of cats, the cat man himself, turn down a cat hanging out in his classroom twice a day?
