   Summary

   After a terrible accident that cost the life of one of Luz's loved ones, she struggles to figure out what she wants to do with her life after graduation next year and answer the topic for her Literature essay of the year: Paper Man.

   She meets Hunter Wittebane- another student who is no stranger to loss- when he comes to her for help to save his grade, and after taking the time to understand the boy beneath the scars and dark eyes, she finds that her own meaning of a paper man may run deeper and more personal than she would originally imagine.
