“Come on, B. It’s cold as fuck, give me some of that Slayer warmth.”
Buffy rolled her eyes, but shifted and tugged Faith closer. “You have that same Slayer warmth too, you know.”
“Not the same,” Faith sighed. She shivered, and Buffy gave up and pulled until Faith was literally in her lap, wrapping the threadbare blanket tightly around them both.
“They’ll find us soon,” Buffy promised, hoping her voice didn’t betray how not confident she was about that. Getting stuck in a cave-in during a freak snowstorm in Sunnydale was definitely not on her bucket list.
Faith hummed, wrapping her arms around Buffy, her nose brushing the delicate skin of Buffy’s throat. “I’d be okay if it takes them like, an hour. Or two.” Her soft lips pressed against Buffy’s skin, and suddenly Buffy’s heart was thudding so hard against her chest she was surprised the cave walls weren’t shaking.
A near hysterical giggle fell from Buffy’s mouth because what the fuck was happening? “Oh yeah?”
“Yeah.” Faith angled her head and caught Buffy’s lips in a kiss, and Buffy couldn’t help herself from kissing back.
“Okay,” Buffy whispered, and Faith smiled against her lips. “Just like. A half-hour.”
