Sage... managed to back herself up into the Ancient's database and I was able to retrieve her fully intact. She has memories up to the point where her and Sonic went to fight The End in space. Though I am joyed to have my daughter back, safe and sound, that pain I felt, the emptiness...
I now know what my grandfather, Doctor Gerald Robotnik, felt when he lost my cousin Maria.
I've lived so long with those emotions of jealously and anger to my family; how could they care for Maria when I was right there. I felt abandoned by them and it made my blood boil.
And then Gerald, with his Eclipse Canon, and Shadow.. the Black Arms.. He made his mistakes but his love for Maria was undeniable.. unconditional.
I wonder.. will I succumb to the same madness if my daughter dies?
The scary thing about that question is that I already know the answer.
Hmm...Sage Robotnik. I really do like the sound of calling my daughter that.
