His current life felt unreal. He didn't deserve any of this. He didn't deserve to get a second chance, to go to school again, to be with her. His entire life had been nothing but a series of continued mistakes, whether it was leaving Ayano to cry alone in an empty classroom or his inability to console Momo after their father's death. In all aspects, his life was a failure – no, he was a failure, yet somehow, he was here, laying in bed with his loving girlfriend on top of him.

Summary
1. He kicks a pebble off the sidewalk in frustration. It probably wasn't meant to be, but there's a thorn in his heart that wishes it was.
2. The possibility that he actually likes her scares him. He quickly disposes of that thought; there's no need to get greedy, no need to risk what he has right now to go back to his lonely self from a few years ago.
3. Back to the wall, he dredges up memories of his one and only crush. It hurts.
4. They walk out of the classroom in silence, side by side, and he hopes that she's just as ecstatic as he is to meet again.
5. Voice strained, he whispers, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I'm just – I'm so happy."
?. Even with his perfect memory, he's afraid that this moment will flee from him. He wishes that he could feel this way forever.
