"C'mon, guys! Let's watch the new movie entitled 'smile'!" Kaminari suggested.
"But it's scary, Kaminari-kun!" Uraraka whined.
"No, it's not! And if it is, then that should be totally fine! We were always watching romance and action movies. It's time for something new!" The blond reasoned out.
The bell rings and all of them scrambles to fix their things and go back to the dorm.
It's Friday and that means it's movie night!
Izuku nervously put his things inside of his bag.
He never like watching horror movies even though Kacchan forced him when they were kids. He would always hide on Kacchan's back, shoulder, neck, his own little hands, the blankets draped over them, or the pillow he was hugging at that time, moment, while screaming his lungs out or trembling (worst was him crying).
Kacchan always laughed at him, calling him "scaredy cat" but would always let Izuku lean or hide on him. Even let Izuku hold and grip his hand.
Izuku can't watch horror movies if Kacchan is not around him or to be exact, beside him.
He'd rather be inside of his dorm room and finish all his task, or sleep early than watch horror movies that will traumatize him and become his nightmare for a week or so.
So when he whispered, "Kacchan, are you going to the common area later to watch the movie with our classmates?" to Kacchan.
And Kacchan answered, "Fuck, no. I have some shits to do."
The green haired boy instantly decided that he will also have to stay in his room and not attend the famous Class 1-A's movie night. Which, if he's being honest, makes him feel relieved. He doesn't want to watch scary movies right now.
He may be a hero in training but villains are nothing compared to something a human eye can't see nor explain.
So, yeah. No- thank you very much.
"Okay!" He answered, sighing in relief.
Kacchan stared at him for a moment before the ash blond smirks at him.
Uh-oh.
"What, Deku? Why aren't you attending the movie night later?" Kacchan asked him, voice somewhat a little louder than earlier so all their classmates can hear him just right.
Almost half of their classmates turned their heads on them and Izuku wanted to strangle Kacchan who's still smirking at him.
"B-because you're not attending, Kacchan! I, uh, want Kacchan to be there, too!" He answered, forcing himself to shrug.
"What?! You're both not attending?!" Ashido looks at them suspiciously. "Do you have something planned for tonight?" She added, rasing her left eyebrow.
"Ye-"
"Nothing. We're both attending. I'm just teasing Deku." Kacchan grumbled but when he walk passed Izuku, he whispered, "Be ready, scaredy cat."
Izuku audibly swallowed.
It's movie time and all of them are scattered in the common area. Izuku was supposed to drag Kacchan towards the couch a little far from the television but the blond beats him into it.
"K-kacchan...!" Izuku desperately tries to free himself from Kacchan's hand but to no avail, Kacchan successfully drags him to the front.
Yes.
The front.
They both sit on the bean bag closest and just beside the television.
And Izuku is the one beside or closest to the television's speaker! Kacchan's somewhat shielding, hiding, him from their classmates' sitting at the back since Kacchan's taller and bigger than Izuku.
He doesn't know if he should be thankful because then his friends will not see him trembling or something, or not because KACCHAN STILL PLACED HIM CLOSE TO THE TELEVISION!!!
"Kacchan, you're so mean." He whispered, already clutching Kacchan's favorite black t-shirt and almost leaning his whole body onto the other boy.
Kacchan snorted, "If I'm mean then I'm just going back to my room and sleep."
The blond attempted to stand up but Izuku grips his t-shirt tightly and tugs the ash blond closer to him.
"S-stay." Izuku whispered.
Kacchan grinned before comfortably sitting beside Izuku. He put his right arm around Izuku's shoulder and Izuku instantly relaxes.
"Really? In front of my popcorn?" Kaminari suddenly said.
Izuku flinches a little because he forgot that they weren't alone in the common area, but Kacchan held him protectively. Hiding him away from prying eyes.
"Shut up, Pikachu." Kacchan glared at the other blond.
"We should've just let them go and do coupley, lovey-dovey things in their room." Sero said, chuckling.
"When is it my turn?" Someone whispered at the back.
"Just play the goddamn movie!" Kacchan snapped, scowling.
"Hai, hai!" Kaminari said, laughing before clicking the play button.
Izuku tensed up immediately and Kacchan chuckle lowly.
"Relax, nerd. 's just about to start." The ash blond whispered on his ear, slowly rubbing circles on Izuku's shoulder.
Izuku tried his best even though the introduction already scared him (a little-).
He focuses on the movie's story to avoid being fully scared in the early part of the movie and got curious on the main character's work. In the beginning, Dr. Rose Cotter, or the main character, is a psychiatrist attending to one of her patient named Carl.
Izuku is muttering to himself about the said patient, already drown into the movie, fingers playing on his lower lip while his other hand is still clutching Kacchan's t-shirt. He doesn't notice Kacchan smirking beside him.
Six minutes passed and the Doctor met her next patient named Laura Weaver who had witnessed her art history professor commit suicide infront of her several days earlier.
"Nerd," Kacchan nudges him.
Izuku turned his head slightly to look at Kacchan, "Hmm?"
"Stop muttering and watch. It's getting exciting." The other said.
"I'm watching!" Izuku defended himself.
"Yeah, right." Kacchan snorted.
When he looks at the television again, the patient, Laura, suddenly screams.
"Shit!" He hissed, his hands flying on his face to cover his eyes.
He can hear his classmates' reaction at the back. Some got shocked and screamed because of Laura's sudden scream when she turned to the doctor, but some of his classmates hushes them and said that there's nothing wrong or scary in the movie.
Kacchan laughs and moved Izuku's hands away from his eyes.
"K-kacchan!" Izuku protested but Kacchan just held his hands using his free hand.
But, then, when the doctor called for some help and turned around to look at where Laura has been sitting; Laura wasn't their anymore.
"Kacchan, Kacchan..." Izuku leans on Kacchan, one eye closed and the other barely open.
And then the doctor saw Laura.
"Ah, fuck!" Some of them screamed including Izuku.
Laura was smiling at the doctor, creepily, holding a broken glass. She cuts her neck open with the shard, killing herself.
Izuku buried his face on Kacchan's side while the other is chuckling lowly. Clearly enjoying his misery.
"It's not funny!" Izuku whined, pinching Kacchan's hand that's still holding his hands.
"Fuck. That's creepy." Ashido said.
"Why the fuck was she smiling like that?!" Someone cried out at the back.
"Let's just watch other movie, please!" Uraraka pleaded.
"It's not that creepy..." Todoroki's monotone voice said.
"It is!" Someone argued.
The movie continues like that.
Dr. Rose started witnessing something the same way as what Laura explained to her. A lot of supernatural occurrences everyday in the doctor's life. And class 1-A (now 2-A) are split in half. The other half screaming, and the other hushing the screaming ones.
Sadly, Izuku is one of the screaming ones while Kacchan is on the hushing. Or not really. Because he keeps on laughing or teasing Izuku when the other gets scared, or suddenly screaming and burying his face onto the ash blond.
When it's the part where Dr. Rose visited her sister, Holly, hoping that she would understand Rose, they just got into argument and ended up with them bringing up their past. Holly went inside of their house and closes their door.
Dr. Rose got into her car and then the screen showed her sister opening their door again and walk towards where Dr. Rose's car is.
"Oh, does she calms down and-"
"AH!!!"
"FUCKING HELL!"
"OH SHIT!"
"GODDAMNIT!"
"OH MY GOD!!!"
"WAH-CHAN!"
Screams can be heard throughout the class 2-A's common area when Rose's sister, Holly, knocked on her car window and then her head suddenly fell and appeared smiling creepily outside of Dr. Rose's car window.
Izuku is trembling beside Kacchan, head buried on Kacchan's side and he's literally hugging the blond. Almost drapes on the other's lap, completely forgetting or just not giving a fuck about their classmates being there with them.
He's scared as fuck and he needs this, okay?!
Kacchan picks him up and places him on his lap so Izuku can hug him easier and much comfortable. Izuku immediately buries his face on Kacchan's neck while the other rubs his back.
"C'mon, Izuku, it's almost done." Kacchan whispered.
Izuku shakes his head, "N-no... I don't wanna w-watch anymore. I wouldn't be able to s-sleep later, Kacchan!"
"Should we go ahead then?" Kacchan asked softly.
Izuku nodded his head and released Kacchan from his death hug.
When he looks at the blond, he screams.
Kacchan is smiling at him.
He punches Kacchan on the stomach out of shocked and fear.
"What the fuck, Izuku?!" Kacchan exclaimed, holding his now aching stomach. Eyes wide as he stares at his boyfriend.
All of their classmates were now looking at them. Kaminari, who's holding the remote control the whole time, pauses the movie.
"What happened?" Kirishima asked, confused and worried.
Izuku almost wanted to bang his head against the nearest wall or on the floor. Kacchan was smiling at him but softly! Not creepily! Yet it still scared him because of the last scene he saw where Holly's smiling at her sister Rose.
Oh my god...
Kacchan is staring at him, brows now furrowed, completely shocked and confused.
And then suddenly, his face relaxes and then he laughs. Out loud. Again.
"Oh my god! Did you just punched me because I was smiling at you?" Kacchan asked between his laughs.
Izuku blushes and dropped his head on the crook of Kacchan's neck again. Hiding his whole face away from his classmates.
"He got traumatized." Someone said and he heard some of his classmates are now laughing, some just smiling because of how silly he is.
"Honestly though? No one better be smiling at me randomly and like, creepily after this movie. I'll definitely punch y'all too if ever." Another blurted out making their classmates laugh a little louder.
"I-i'm sorry..." He mumbled, still hiding at Kacchan's neck.
"No shit." Kacchan snorted before holding his ass securely and standing up, "That punched fuckin' hurts but the reason was fucking hilarious. Jesus... It's always you against horror movies."
Izuku just tried burying his face more on the blond's neck and hugs Kacchan tightly.
Fuck horror movies.
After that night, half of the class 2-A were traumatized and will either flinch or suddenly scream whenever someone is smiling at them.
Izuku, on the other hand, would either be screaming or almost physically hurting the other person that's smiling at him. He also had nightmares of the girl, Laura, and Kacchan smiling creepily at him!
And Kacchan will either be laughing loudly, teasing him, calming him down or preventing and stopping him from hurting other people everytime.
It lasts for a week before Izuku moves on and everything goes back to normal.
Izuku promises to himself that he will never, ever watch horror movie again.
It'll be his cause of death or the reason of why he will become a killer(/murderer/villain) or something.
Goddamn...
