Summary
Kacchan hummed as he lightly scratched at Izuku’s scalp and massaged the soap through.
Izuku braced himself against the wall. “Why are you doing this?” He sounded wounded—he felt wounded.
“Doing what?”
“Torturing me,” he croaked, resting his forehead against the cool shower tile and silently begging for his torment to end.
Kacchan was giving him glimpses of what he’d never have: careful touches, falling asleep in loving arms, being loved unconditionally, being seen for who he truly was, and being loved for who he was. And it was killing him.

Or, shortly after being discharged from the hospital, Izuku wakes Katsuki up with a bad migraine. Katsuki plays nurse as best he can with one functioning arm and a weak heart. As the days pass and Izuku fails to get better, Katsuki suspects there’s a deeper meaning behind his worsening condition.

Summary
"You're sick," Kacchan remarks.
"Yeah, no shit." The words leave Izuku's mouth before he can stop them. His muscles lock up, freezing him in place.
His eyes are wide as he stares at Kacchan, but even they can't decipher what's going on in his head. All Izuku knows is this; he really shouldn't have done that.
It's New Year's Eve and Izuku is sick. He's sick and alone and miserable. Then Kacchan is there, and he's not alone anymore.
And he's definitely not miserable, that's for sure.

The question takes Izuku so off guard that he doesn't answer immediately. His mouth drops open but no sound comes out.
"Who the hell names their kid Deku?" Katsuki continues, squinting at the papers he'd delivered.
