The first time I’ve ever read a TFA Megarod fic, and wow my eyes have been blessed. Loved the build up of Megatron & Rodimus’s relationship, as well as the rest of the Nemesis and its crew and how they treat Roddy.
This will proudly sit in my bookmarks for all to see.

Great story! Some obs. on the last chapter, though, so spoilers ahead, don't want, just skip to the last paragraph from here:Overall, the story is very well crafted and handles it's themes very well, however, the last chapter - for all that it's great - doesn't seem to fit thematically with the direction the story was taking, or rather, it feels like there needed to be more written before reaching the thematic point the last chapter takes us to.
Rodimus journey in the story is of casting off chains - those imposed on him by his culture as well as those imposed on him by his society, which he does by casting off his society. But casting something off is different from taking something on, so specially in the the decepibranding ceremony, where he overwrites his code even if just cosmetically, when the autobots doing it to him where one of his tipping points towards leaving (though to be fair, the autobots code rewrite was very much more invasive and affected functionality) felt a lot like either the character was backsliding on his growth, though tbh that was not my interpretation on things, cuz I definitely could see him getting to the things that happen in the last chapter as a further growth along the line, but it did give me a feeling like when a CD skips (hahaha, denouncing my age rn).
That CD skipping feeling is why most of epilogues don't work for me, and the last chapter feels a bit like one. Rather, the story ending on chapter 12 would he better for keeping thematic cohesion, while the open ending would leave space for a sequel that thematically mirrored the story that came before: as the first story is about unraveling and casting out what one was to create enough space for the possibility of becominng something else, the second would be instead about effectively becoming that something else and accepting the chains that come with every choice - so Roddy would have gone from autobot to cybertronian in the first story and cybertronian to Decepticon in the second, like yang moving to yin or two sides of the same coin of change.
The paradigm even leaves space for a third story if the authors wished, like a triad of antithesis to thesis to synthesis, where the third story is not about casting off what was or taking something else on to be, but rather about effectively living what you've become.

But yeah, like I said, it's a good story, the last chapter feels a bit jarring, but not because I felt it was wrong what happened, just that it happened too fast. It's a bit of that feeling you get with epilogues.
