The act of gazing vacantly into the distance without thinking.

Companion to Habromania and Nobody, Holder of Six Eyes and Limitless

Work Text:

Gojo Satoru stared off into the distance. He had a blindfold secured over his eyes, limiting the impute to what he assumed was a normal persons vision.

He knew someone was talking. To him? He didn’t know. Their voice was comforting. Calm, gentle, nice. It was a change from the cold, biting words he had lived with for a few months. Amazing what can change in 4 months.

He continued to stare off. The flowers were pretty. The blue sky he didn’t look at, he stared at it too much in the mirror until he no longer cared for its beauty. The flowers had bloomed in a wide range of colours. From purple to green… he let his thoughts drift into nothingness.

It was quiet.

“Gojo sure seems to like the flowers, huh?” Ieiri Shoko exclaimed upon seeing her friend unmovingly staring at the flowers she had planted the day before.

Geto shrugged. He was worried but didn’t like to show it. Gojo had left normal and came back like a little soldier paired with a god complex.

Amazing what 4 months can do to a person.

Fushiguro told him what the big clans do to their kids. Its horrible. He cant imagine anyone going through that and coming out the same.

“Shoko?” He asked, “do you think Gojo’s happy?”

She shrugged, “how would I know, he always smiles but i have yet to get him to the infirmary.”

They both chuckled at that.

“Do you think he’s asleep?” Shoko asked Geto.

“Could be.” He walked over and poked Gojo, who sprung up and jolted awake. “Did you fall asleep?” He asked.

Gojo rubbed the back of his neck, “no, i don’t think so.”

“You okay?” Ieiri asked.

“Yeah.” He smiled and gave a thumbs up, “why wouldn’t i be!”

She scoffed and turned away but they all knew what the other was thinking.

‘No. He’s not okay.’

‘Im not okay.’ Gojo thought to himself, making the others laugh over a sea cucumber.
