Kathryn Janeway was sitting at Starfleet Command. 10 years behind the desk and was withering to her; at least she had her faithful assistant to help her. Decan popped his head around the corner.
“Am I interrupting, Admiral?”
“Decan, you never interrupt me. Come in. Would you like something?”
Decan walks in with a PADD in his hand. “No, Admiral. I’m quite fine for the moment.”
“Very well, take a seat.” Kathryn walks over to her replicator and orders her normal coffee. She brings it back as she sits in the chair at her desk. Decan watching her with a close eye.
“Admiral. There was something that was put in your calendar 10 years ago.”
“The day that Captain Chakotay and I meet up.”
“Affirmative. Would you like me to see where the Captain is?”
“No. I’ll look him up. See if he remembers it too. Thank you Decan.”
Decan nods at the Admiral. “Can I help with anything else?”
Kathryn looks around her desk, no longer clean. She gave up on that a long time ago. “No, just clear my schedule for today and tomorrow.”
“Understood Admiral. I hope you have a great night.” Decan stood up leaving with his PADD back to his desk outside her office.
Kathryn turned to her computer and input to find Chakotay’s location. The computer said that he was in the Paleontology department at the Academy. So, Kathryn turned everything off, got up from her desk. Bid a good night to her assistant Decan. Then made her way to the Academy, towards Chakotay’s office.
