“No,” Angel interrupts, unable to even entertain the thought. “If it didn’t work, you’d already be dead by now.”
“Wouldn’t be the most horrible way to go, all things considered.”
“Please,” Angel begs. “Please don’t joke about that.”

Eyes still shut, Angel shudders when he feels Aki’s other hand cup his face. His thumb rubs gentle circles on his cheek.
