Bones and Arrows

Summary:

Tommy is a loyal guard to King George. So when he is told to capture a group of pirates, he obviously did what he was told. What he didn't account for is his long-lost brother's being the pirates.

Niki is content about her life with her mother, though there was always something missing in her life. So when Niki mother dies and she's running from her mother's murders, she finds herself on the most feared pirate ship and finds her missing pieces.

Wilbur, after being separated from his mother and siblings, spends his days on a ship with his brother looking for his infamous father. He didn't expect to find his siblings and his sense of purpose.

Techno was the most feared warrior in the land. So the fact that he couldn't beat a 21 year-old stowaway who kind of resembled a lost relative was interesting.

Notes:

I really hope you enjoy it, I worked especially hard on this one since I've been hyperfixating on it for a while. I swear it picks up, just give me time!

I'm writing this along the way, but there should be around 20 chapters, so that should be fun!

Thank you so much for reading, you have no idea how happy I am to have you here!

Enjoy!

Chapter 1: Former Life and Where it's gone.

Chapter Text

Tommy was maybe 5 years old when it happened. He barely remembers it, even. All he remembers is his siblings.

His older twin brothers and his older sister. It was Christmas. His father(?) was decorating their tree with Tommy's mother(?).

Tommy's pink haired brother with tusks (why did he have tusks?) held his brother with brown canary wings, maybe both 14. The canary brother was struggling, but in a playful way. Their sister, a blonde black-winged girl (her wongs were like her fathers), no more than 10, laughed at their antics, handing a baby Tommy his gifts. She picked up another one and gave it to the woman who Tommy thinks (hopes) is their mother. They were happy.

They were happy.

"That was a shit spar," Purples groaned in disappointment.

Tommy spat out blood, "Sorry I didn't entertain you enough."

"That was bad, Tommy," Dream shook his head, "Do you want to be punished?"

Tommy flinched as he got up, "No."

"Good," Dream nodded, then got serious, "Do it once again or I personally fight you. Okay?"

"Yes, sir." Tommy nodded, getting ready to fight Purpled again, "Come get me, Grayson."

Purple snarled. The fae hated his real name, charging at the avian. Tommy shoot up into the air, his wings beating heavily against the castle grounds. Purpled swung at Tommy's wings, golden feathers coming off. Tommy growled at the pain, coming down and slamming himself against Purpled. While Tommy quickly recovered, Purpled just stayed there, groaning at the pain.

Dream scoffed, "Tut, tut, Purpled, you get the punishment this time."

Purpled just groaned, "Next time, don't fucking slam into me, bitch."

Tommy shrugged, "The king wouldn't like it if you weren't prepared."

"Ugh," Purpled got up. He followed Dream, but then Dream stopped in front of Tommy.

"Toms?" Dream asked.

"Yeah Dream?"

"Can you go with Hannah and patrol the port? There have been reports of dangerous pirates there."

"Sure thing, big man," Tommy smiled.

"Good," Dream nodded, "Try not to fail or I'll have you in the dungeons."

Tommy shuddered. He hated the dungeon. "Of course."

With a nod, Dream, taking a sword, walked behind Purpled.

Tommy met up with Hannah. Like her brother, Purpled, she was a fae, but not a useless one. Like, she actually had powers. While they weren't friends, they made a decent team.

"Hey, Tommy," Hannah nodded towards the blonde.

Tommy nodded back, "Ready to see who these pirates are?"

Hannah smiled, "You know it."

Tommy picked Hannah up and took to the skies. While he must admit picking up another human being wasn't fun, he loved flying. It felt like being free. At the time, he didn’t know what that felt like.

Tommy landed on the docks, looking out for anything of suspicion. He saw a British Empire flag, but it was a ship he knew definitely did NOT belong to his majesty.

He brought out his sword, signaling to Hannah. She swung her head, looking at Tommy. He gestured to the ship and she nodded.

Hannah, using her powers, fastened the ship to make sure it didn't go anywhere. Tommy flew up to the ship, spotting a pair of fellows. One had a grand coat on, something only nobles wore, with a red beanie. The other wore a long gallant blouse that knight's would wear. He had netherite armor, to Tommy's surprise, and a netherite sword. Tommy was concerned by how decked out the guy was. Especially considering his not at all intimidating his pink hair was.

Pink… hair…?

An arrow shot towards his wing, piercing it. Tommy let out a squawk, falling towards the ship.

He braced for impact and was met with a hard crack! His back was throbbing, his wings probably broken. He got up though. Dream really prepared him for everything.

Suddenly, the ship lurched forward. Tommy slipped and fell once again, this time on his nose. The guy with the red beanie laughed very loudly while the pink haired guy looked apathetic.

"Weak," he yawned. Tommy grunted and tried to get up.

That's when he realized that they were moving.

Tommy staggered towards the railing of the ship, looking out towards his companion.

All that he saw was an unconscious Hannah moving further and further away.

“W-what did you do… to.. Her?” Tommy managed to spit out. Why was he so goddamn hurt?

He looked down and realized that the arrow that caught his wing also caught his side. Blood was gushing out, red ink staining the wooden floors of the ship.

“You… bitch…” He said to the two fellows. They looked at him, discussing quietly. Eventually, they looked down at the kid.

“Pick him up,” the pink-haired man said to two young boys. They nodded, picking Tommy up by his arms. The grunted, but easily picked up the malnourished boy.

They took him downstairs, towards what seemed like a jail cell. While they were setting up, he took a second to memorize his captors. One of them had goat horns and scars across his face. His companion dropped something, causing a loud thump. Both goat boy and Tommy flinched at the noise. Goat boy seemed to notice that in Tommy, but didn’t say anything. The other one had red and green eyes and black hair. He was also tall. Taller than probably Tommy, which pissed him so much. Tommy, with a laugh, would refer to him as a boober boy.

Great, Tommy thought, Not again.

Another man came by him, examining his wing. His main discernible feature was being bald. While the bald man was discussing with the red beanie guy, Tommy gained enough strength to attempt to fly away.

Tommy pushed past them, running as fast as his injured self could take him. He ran up the stairs and found light. Then the sky. Then the sun.

He was gone. He was going to make it-

A sharp pain hit Tommy and everything went black.

The last thing he heard was a faint, "Holy shit..."
