Work Text:

"J," Tony said, "light a fire under Legolas and Agent."

"We're here," Clint said, pushing Phil's wheel chair. "Do you want to stay in the chair or do you want to sit on the couch?"

"Can I sit on the couch?" Phil asked, eyes downcast.

"Look at me," Clint said. "I really wish you'd stop acting like you're a burden," Clint signed in ASL.

"I hate being a pain in the ass," Phil signed back.

"Well," Clint signed. "You're my pain in the ass."

"I love you," Phil said.

"I know," Clint said, smirking at his husband.

Phil moved his feet from the pedals, let Clint flip up the pedals and wrapped his arms around Clint's neck and let him help transfer him to the sofa. After Clint pushed his chair into the corner he sat next to Phil and leaned against his shoulder.

"Can I ask a question?" Steve asked.

"They're a couple," Tony said, "like Pepper and I are a couple."

"We had same sex couples in the 40s, Tony," Steve said. "I wanted to know why you call Clint Legolas."

"Legolas is an archer," Phil said.

"A really hot elfin archer," Natasha said.

"It's a movie character?" Steve asked.

"There's a book series," Bruce said, "but, Orlando Bloom plays him in the movies."

"Well, that solves that," Tony said. "How about The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King unless you want me to start calling him Katniss?"

"I'm not a teenage girl," Clint said.

"What's a Katniss?" Steve asked.

"Add Hunger Games to your notebook," Natasha said. "It's a dystopian Young Adult book series."

"She's an archer?" Steve asked.

"She's an archer," Phil said.
