Eddie’s eyes were wildly scanning the room, darting from the painting on the wall, to the guests in the corner, to the TV screen that was nothing but a blue screen. Finally, they settled on Steve. “Do you – uh – want to buy?”
“That depends.” Steve reached out and tugged on a stray curl that had fallen onto Eddie’s cheek. “What all are you selling?”
