   Summary

   “Hey Buck, look, '' Sam pulled Bucky along by their conjoined hands as he walked over to the bird lying still on top of fluffy white and kneeled down on his heels to inspect it.

   While its chest rose and fell with each shallow breath, its eyes were closed, and it was stiff as if it had died. Sam could see its left wing was bent at an unnatural angle.

   “He’s still alive,” Sam muttered, a hint of surprise and relief in his voice. “We can save him.”
