Chapter 1: Original Devil Fruits
Chapter Text
Niji Niji no Mi (Rainbow-Rainbow Fruit)
The Niji Niji no Mi is a paramecia that allows anyone who eats this devil fruit to become a distortion human. Which lets the user bend, twist, and reflect objects. The objects can be both material like metals and wood or intangible like air and light. However, it can’t affect organic matter such as humans.
The user can use this power to bend light around their body to enhance their strength, go invisible, and create a shield to keep enemy attacks from reaching them. Those that master this fruit can even use it to create illusions.
Chi Chi no Mi (Blood-Blood Fruit)
The Chi Chi no Mi is a paramecia that allows anyone who eats it to become a blood human. Which lets them create (well create more) and manipulate blood for a variety of purposes. These include attack, defense, recovery, and even controlling the enemy.
The user can launch blades of blood or create creatures out of blood to attack their enemies. They can also harden their blood to make it so blades can’t leave deep cuts. The user can also change the blood type of the blood they create for blood transfusions. If the user’s own blood enters the opponent’s wounds then they can even take control of the opponent’s body. The more of the user’s blood in the enemy, the easier it is to control them.
Orora Orora no Mi (Aurora-Aurora Fruit)
The Orora Orora no Mi is a logia devil fruit that turns the person who eats it into an aurora human or northern lights human.
This devil fruit gives the user the abilities of the Pika Pika no Mi (Blink-Blink Fruit or Light-Light Fruit) and the Jiki Jiki no Mi (Magnet-Magnet Fruit). Basically allowing the user to turn themselves into and produce light while also giving them control over magnetism as well.
Gitai Gitai no Mi (Mimic-Mimic Fruit)
The Gitai Gitai no Mi is a paramecia devil fruit that allows anyone who eats it to become a learning human.
The user of this devil fruit is able to freely copy any technique they see. The user can also make their clothes mimic the properties of other substances such as iron. If the user is advanced enough, they can also use their hair to create copies of themselves.
Awakening
If the user manages to awaken their devil fruit, they’ll find out that it is a mythical zoan type similar to the Gomu Gomu no Mi.
The devil fruit’s new name is the Saru Saru no Mi, Model: Sun Wukong (Simian-Simian Fruit, Model: Monkey King).
The devil fruit now gives the user all of the abilities of the Monkey King.
Kotoba Kotoba no Mi (Word-Word Fruit)
The Kotoba Kotoba no Mi is a paramecia devil fruit that turns anyone who eats it into a word human.
The user of this devil fruit can create words and make them come to life. They can use this power for attack, defense, and to enhance others.
Example
The user can make the word blizzard create a blizzard.
The user can make the word wall produce a wall.
The user can make the word strengthen to enhance someone’s strength.
The stronger the word, the more energy it requires to create and activate. So what words can be used depends on the user’s current strength.
Nesuto Nesuto no Mi (Nest-Nest Fruit)
The Nesuto Nesuto no Mi is a paramecia devil fruit that turns anyone who eats it into a nest human.
This devil fruit allows the user to turn their body and the bodies of others into nests to spawn various species of bird that are loyal to the one wielding the Nest Fruit.
Tawā Tawā no Mi (Tower-Tower Fruit)
The Tawā Tawā no Mi is a paramecia devil fruit that turns anyone who eats it into a tower human.
The powers of the Tawā Tawā no Mi work similarly to the Shiro Shiro no Mi (Castle-Castle Fruit) by turning the user’s body into a structure to store items in. However, unlike the Castle Fruit, the Tower Fruit is much more self sustaining. The user of this devil fruit is able to spawn creatures inside their body similar to an rpg game over time that can later be released to attack those outside of the user’s body.
The strength and amount of creatures created over time depends on the devil fruit eater’s strength. The stronger the user gets, the stronger the creatures are and the higher their creation rate is. The user can also give the creatures equipment and train them to further strengthen them.
However, this devil fruit doesn’t provide the same mobility as the Castle Fruit.
Chapter 2: The Supernova Pirates
Chapter Text
What if all the Straw Hats except for Zoro and Luffy took different paths? What if the Supernovas also ended up in different situations that led them to meet Luffy and Zoro instead?
This au focuses on Luffy creating a more powerful version of his crew by recruiting the other nine Supernovas (without Blackbeard of course) instead of his canon crew. There will be some spoilers here if you aren’t caught up with either Wano or the manga.
Recruitment can look like this.
Roronoa Zoro: The same as in canon.
Jewelry Bonney: She’s hiding away in the East Blue and ends up working to pay off her own debts at the Bartie after trying to sneak away.
Trafalgar D. Water Law: He’s Kureha’s second apprentice on Drum Island along with Chopper and is working on developing his medical knowledge and devil fruit abilities further for his goal of taking down Doflamingo.
Killer: He joins Baroque works after gaining a reputation large enough that Crocodile wants him on his side for his plans. However, Killer only joins so he has more resources to find his old friend Eustass Kid after they were both kidnapped off their island and separated. So, he joins the Straw Hats after a talk with Luffy.
X Drake: Joins Baroque Works as an undercover agent after the Navy figures out Crocodile is after Pluton. He helps the current Straw Hats take down Baroque Works and is later given the order to join them and possibly take them down later by his superiors. However, through his journey with them, he ends up betraying the Navy for real during the battle against CP9.
Urouge: Urouge joins during the Skypiea arc after Luffy defeats Enel.
Scratchman Apoo: Joins the crew after Luffy wins his loyalty in a Davy Back Fight against Foxy.
Eustass Kid: Eustass joins the crew during Waters 7 when he meets Killer again. Killer manages to convince Kid to join them after Kid has been working as a shipwright the entire time while they were separated.
Capone Bege: Bege and his family act as the second gang in Waters 7 along with the Franky Family. After everything with CP9 goes down, he decides to put himself and his family in the Straw Hat Pirate’s care.
Basil Hawkins: Joins the crew after he gets his shadow back upon defeating Moria. His cards tell him that joining the crew is the best course of action.
Of course with this new crew, several events will play out differently than in canon.
The East Blue arc is relatively the same. However, you can decide whether Usopp, Nami, and Sanji join the Straw Hats.
Whiskey Peak to Arabasta will likely have some differences due to Killer and X Drake’s involvement. Plus, Law joining the crew.
Skypea won’t be that different unless X Drake has a way to hit Enel since he was sent by the Navy to stop another logia fruit user.
Water 7 and Enies Lobby will definitely be different as it will depend on whether you had Robin join the crew like in canon or if it’s X Drake and CP9 setting a trap together before Drake changes sides.
Thriller Bark will likely go down pretty differently with the extra firepower that comes with this stronger crew. Plus, Hawkin’s involvement. However, the real difference I would say would be the Kuma confrontation because of his daughter Jewelry Bonney being there.
Summit War can be very different due to the magnitude of this new band of Straw Hat Pirates. All of the bounties on this small crew (barring you don’t add any more besides them during Paradise) are over 100 million and they haven’t even gone over to the New World yet. After Marineford is over, the entire crew could run and save Luffy before making their escape. Because of their and their captain’s exploits, they become the next beacon for pirates to look up to after Whitebeard’s death. The crew could still temporarily disband and train for two years before heading into the New World.
Chapter 3: The Hellhound of the Straw Hats
Chapter Text
This a prompt for a long-forgotten (probably) One Piece character known as Chouchou.
What if Chouchou took the box of food Luffy gave him and ran away with the Straw Hats onto their ship? What if he became the pet for the Straw Hats? What if the Straw Hats found a mythical zoan devil fruit, and Chouchou ate it?
This is a prompt where Chouchou joins the Straw Hats after I found out Whitebeard had a dog.
After Chouchou joins the Straw Hats as their pet, they or Chouchou himself find a devil fruit and eat it. This devil fruit is the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Ifrit (Human-Human Fruit, Model: Ifrit), and it turns Chouchou into a reverse werewolf on fire.
His job can mostly be to guard the ship while the Straw Hats are out to go with his Hachikō origin base.
Chapter 4: The Six Conciliators
Chapter Text
A prompt I came up with after noticing the severe lack of bounty hunters in the One Piece world.
What if the world government had secretly set up a fourth power in their Three Great Powers System? What if this system was similar to the Seven Warlords system but targeted more ‘trustworthy’ individuals?
In this prompt, the World Government and Navy have another power system like the Seven Warlords, Marines, and Emperors of the Sea. This one, however, is tailored towards bounty hunters and other mercenary-type individuals that are slightly easier for the government to control due to their more neutral nature.
These individuals and their organizations are paid large sums of money for jobs and given additional benefits such as access to seastone, getting the full payment for a dead bounty, and favoritism for the organization they work with by the World Government.
I thought it would be a good add-on so we have more bounty hunters in One Piece instead of mostly Marines and Pirates. It could really be interesting with the Cross Guild’s bounty on Marines as it may cause the fall of this fourth system, like the Seven Warlords of the Sea.
Chapter 5: Supernova Pirates vs Blackbeard Pirates
Chapter Text
I decided to make a random little add-on for my Supernova Pirates prompt because I’m bored and want to take a slight break from writing my usual stuff since I’m ahead on it.
This is just a match-up I think would happen when the Supernova Pirates inevitably fight the Blackbeard Pirates in this au. I’m going by this with current information on Blackbeard’s devil fruits. I’ll probably update this when more information about the Ten Titanic Captains is revealed.
Monkey D. Luffy vs Blackbeard
Eustass Kidd vs Jesus Burgess
Roronoa Zoro vs Shiryu
Trafalgar D. Law vs Doc Q & Stronger
Scratchmen Apoo vs Laffitte
Killer vs Vasco Shot
X Drake vs Avalo Pizarro
Basil Hawkins vs Van Augur
Jewelry Bonney vs Catarina Devon
Capone Bege vs Unknown/Moria (It depends on if the unknown is revealed or if Moria kills them offscreen)
Urouge vs Sanjuan Wolf
Chapter 6: Expanded AU: Jackpot
Chapter Text
What if the Straw Hats had more members than Luffy originally wanted? What if the chests Gaimon has been trying to gain weren’t empty? What if the person that buried the treasure was a highly skilled devil fruit hunter that decided to bury their trophies instead of selling them?
In this Expanded Crew AU, the five chests that Luffy digs up for Gaimon and opens reveal a plethora of devil fruits. Going by the chests’ sizes, I’d say you can have around five to ten different devil fruits in total. Of course, you’ll likely have to give a couple over to Gaimon since I doubt they’d be willing to hand all of them over to the Straw Hats.
As the story progresses, some of the extra Straw Hats, and maybe Ussop or Nami, are given these extra cursed treasures of the sea, increasing the power of the Straw Hats as a whole even more than what it usually is in the expanded crew au.
I came up with this after reading that the Blackbeard Pirates focused on collecting devil fruits and decided that there are probably people or organizations that focus on hunting down and fighting devil fruit users. I thought it would be funny if the Straw Hats were lucky enough to stumble upon a bunch while Blackbeard had his crew work to find them.
Chapter 7: Getting A Head In Life At Sea
Chapter Text
This hilarious idea popped into my head after really thinking about how Buggy was on Roger’s crew and how he met Luffy very early on in his journey to become the pirate king. This take of it just amused me the most to imagine.
What if Buggy hadn’t been sent flying by Luffy? What if he had lost all of his body parts except for his head? What if he accidentally ended up with the Straw Hats after they were run out of town?
In this prompt, Buggy is basically taken hostage by the Straw Hat pirates after their meeting in Orange Town as a floating head. He can’t seem to escape from them to find his body and ends up becoming a sort-of crew mascot. During that time, Buggy is reminded of his long-dead captain in Luffy.
During their journey together, Buggy continuously tries to barter his way to freedom and accidentally lets it slip that he used to be a part of Gol D. Roger’s crew while trying to talk Luffy into letting him go by saying he’ll teach Luffy the basics of Haki. This leads to Luffy wanting to keep him around more so he can hear about the pirate king’s adventures and Buggy teaches him what he knows anyway.
Eventually, Buggy manages to get his body parts back. It could be that Rayleigh takes pity on the former apprentice and swims to the East Blue to collect the body parts for him. Or it could be that they are eventually untied and automatically home in on Buggy’s head. The point is that he gets them back.
I think it would be interesting if the weaker apprentice of the Roger Pirates ends up with Roger’s second coming and uses his experience from the New World to train the crew to be stronger than what they were canonically. Plus, it could be interesting to see Ussop, Franky, and a floating head (or not depending on when you give Buggy’s body back) discussing inventions together.
Chapter 8: Class of The Sea
Chapter Text
Isekai prompt based on the Arifureta isekai concept.
What if a class of teens from our world is sent into the world of One Piece by a bored god? What if each of their bodies adapted to become stronger than the average fighter in the One Piece world? What if in order to get home, they have to become king of the pirate?
In this prompt, a class of teens preparing to graduate from high school or have started their first year of university are sent into the world of One Piece by a bored god. In order to get back, the group has to become pirates and make their captain become king of the pirates before the Straw Hat pirates.
Luckily for the group, the god enhanced their bodies so that the weakest member is stronger than the average fighter in One Piece and the strongest is around Luffy’s level during the East Blue arc (maybe stronger because I’m not sure how strong that actually is). They may even be given a set of items to pass around or use such as a book on navigation, survival, how to learn the Six Powers, a graded blade, and even a couple of devil fruits.
Of course, the group is going to have varying degrees of knowledge about the world depending on how much they’ve read/watched the series.
The crew captain could be an ace character who is both physically talented and smart. The vice-captain/first mate can be an anti-social otaku who’s the ace’s best friend for a fun opposites-attract friendship that the rest of the class never understood.
For the whole Laughing Tale and Joy Boy plot. The bored god could change some things around in history to have Joy Boy have a rival and the second coming of that rival is the class’s captain. The two are destined to meet again and settle their score. Maybe the rival is akin to a demon like Sun Wukong or Typhon.
Chapter 9: The Quest For Knowledge
Chapter Text
What if Vivi decided to join the Straw Hat Pirates? What if her dream was to gather knowledge of the world around her kingdom to make sure they’re better prepared in the future if someone like Crocodile ever appears again?
This is a prompt about Vivi joining the Straw Hats on their adventure through the Grand Line in a way that I think would make sense for her character.
After watching her country suffer through Crocodile’s plan, Vivi decides to join the Straw Hat pirates with the dream of acquiring knowledge of the world. So that her kingdom will be better prepared for the next time something like that happens.
This knowledge can include martial arts like the Six Powers, Skypiea’s dials and how to use them, Haki, etc. Maybe she’ll even collect a couple more Devil Fruits for her kingdom.
Chapter 10: A Monster That Only the Devil Could Contain
Chapter Text
What if Luffy was born with an overabundance of muscles? What if this condition nearly killed him because the muscles in his body would crush his bones? What if Luffy needed the powers of a Devil Fruit to keep himself alive and allow him to use the full potential of his body?
In this prompt, Luffy has a certain condition involving expanded and denser muscles. This condition causes his muscles to break his bones. Luffy and Garp have found temporary ways to keep him alive despite the condition. However, Luffy’s life changes ( more than before) when Shanks arrives, and he accidentally eats the Gomu Gomu no Mi. The new rubber properties it gives his body allow him to use his body without worry of his bones being broken, letting him use his giant-like strength without worry.
I feel like this is an interesting concept because it’s one I haven’t seen in the fandom before. At least, not this specific one since, at its base, it’s a stronger Luffy AU prompt. It actually came to me while reading a what if Luffy is the son of Big Mom story. It ended up with me asking the question “What would happen if a human/giant hybrid was born with the body of a human but the muscles of a giant?”
Chapter 11: A Captain's Guild
Chapter Text
I've been really into manga and manhwa with Necromancers as the protagonists lately, leading me to come up with this.
What if someone from our world is sent into the world of One Piece, and instead of being given Gamer right away, they find a Devil Fruit called Girudo-Girudo no Mi (Guild-Guild Fruit)? Of course, a resident of the One Piece world could find it, too.
Similar to the Dungeon Fruit from my Original Devil Fruit List, this Devil Fruit gives the user a tycoon-type Gamer ability. However, instead of giving them monsters from an RPG game or being the only one with Gamer. The Guild Fruit allows anyone who sides with the user to become stronger by giving them access to the Gamer and Fantasy Classes. Which increases a person's growth rate. Of course, the Gamer ability can also be used by the user, and they can take away a person's privileges.
You could use this prompt in a few ways. You could have the user of the Guild Fruit join the Straw Hats and help the weaker members like Usopp and Nami get stronger by giving them Classes like Ranger, Sniper, Rogue, Ninja (Usopp) or Mage, Elementalist, Trickster (Nami). I'm saying the weaker because I don't think the stronger members like Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji would want to use strength that isn't theirs. Maybe Luffy, because of his child-like personality and learning that he has to get stronger to protect his friends.
You could have the user make their own crew and become a member of the Supernovas.
You could even combine it with my Class of the Sea prompt and have the entire class gain Gamer from their captain eating the fruit.
Chapter 12: A Shocking Fruit in the Garden
Chapter Text
It has been forever since I made a One Piece prompt, but this idea randomly hit me since I've been seeing people talk a bit more about Sky Island recently.
So, what if Enel was killed during his fight with Luffy, and his Devil Fruit reincarnated into a tangerine on the Going Merry? What if Nami ate that Devil Fruit by accident?
Basically, what would happen if Nami ate the Goro Goro no mi? Nami's whole thing is predicting and controlling the weather, and lightning is a big part of her fighting style. Plus, it would be ironic if one of the most dangerous Devil Fruits in the world, with the perfect wielder, is on a crew with the only person basically completely immune to it.
I really would have loved it if at least one member of the crew had found a Devil Fruit during their journey and eaten it instead of all the crew's Devil Fruit wielders joining the crew after having already eaten one. That could have been a cool storyline.
Plus, I think it would have been neat if Nami planting a tangerine garden on the ship in memory of Bell-mère is what gave her Devil Fruit powers, since it would have been like Bell-mère is still looking out for her in some way.
