Summary
Pure Vanilla doesn't know why it made the thoughts worse. He doesn't know why he wishes he wasn't immortal, why he wonders if he could just destroy the soul jam himself, why he repeatedly stabs himself and heals over and over again just to try and satisfy the urge. He doesn't know why he lets himself keep the knife anymore.
He doesn't wake up, he hasn't slept in 2 weeks, which is conveniently possible for a soul jam holder. He just realizes the sun is up, gets up from his jam-stained chair, and tries to piece himself back together as he gets ready for the day.

Summary
Charlie is determined to check up on Alastor after he is injured in his fight with Adam. With her father’s help, she finds a ritual meant to heal holy wounds, though it requires an object owned by a virtuous soul. Given that even heaven acknowledged that Angel Dust met their requirements for redemption…surely that’s enough for the ritual to be done correctly?
Or: Angel Dust wakes up in Alastor’s body. Everyone thinks this is very funny, until it really, really isn’t.

Summary
“Good cooking comes from the heart!” Charlie had told them all after the group cooking disaster, her guileless eyes bright and fingers spread wide in emphasis. “It’s about taking all the love you feel inside and sharing it with the people closest to you. It’s about caring!”
Alastor had laughed and laughed and laughed because his cooking is exquisite, and he had nothing in his chest but buzzing static and dead air and the cold skeletal lattice of a radio tower. “Don’t be ridiculous,” he’d said, utterly confident and completely unaware of the suffering that was to come. “Good cooking doesn’t come from something as trite as love. It comes from hunger.”
Or: Alastor cooks for the hotel.
