Chapter Text
Powder sobbed as her sister stumbled to, wherever it was she was heading, and left her behind. She put a hand to her mouth to stifle her sobs as best she could, and then the girl heard the clacking of shoes.
She gasped as she stood, turned behind her, and ran as fast as she could, she made it away from the factory, but that wasn't enough. She had to get away from the Undercity.
She ran to the elevator and pressed the up button, pressing herself against the wall, watching as tentacles went after her, trying to catch her.
She inhaled sharply as they got close, but the elevator doors closed and it started moving up to Piltover. She exhaled in relief as she sunk to the floor, she was safe. For now.
She came up with a plan, get all the way up to the house she robbed and throw away the crystals she had stolen. She straightend up as the elevator doors opened to the upper part of the Undercity.
She had a plan to enact.

Jayce stayed at his mother's house a little while longer, deciding to leave when she went to sleep instead of immediately.
When he did, he made his way to his apartment, standing on the edge of the part that got exploded, he inhaled as he prepared to fall...
Only to be interrupted by a sniffle.
He startled backwards in shock and quickly looked behind him to see a little girl with blue hair and a pink satchel stare at him with wide blue eyes.
"I- who are you?" He asked after a moment of silence.
"... Who are you?" She asked instead of answered.
Jayce frowned, "Jayce Talis. You?"
"...Jinx," she trailed off, looking to the side.
He nodded, "Why are you here?"
Jinx took off her satchel and opened it to reveal Jayce's missing crystals, "I came to return these," she explained.
Jayce stared, his eyes watering, he could still prove that magic is real, "How did you get this?"
"I stole them," the girl recounted in shame, "and I used them, they worked but..."
"Wait," Jayce paused, "you used them?"
"Yeah... I wanted to protect my family," she didn't give any further elaboratation.
"What did you use it for?" Jayce asked suspiciously.
"My family was in trouble so I made the only thing I knew how to, a bomb," she explained as her voice got quiter.
Jayce's eyes widened, "You know how to make a bomb?"
"Yeah, it worked if you wanted to know. Anyway, I assume you're the guy I robbed so, here you go," she said as she held the crystals up to him.
Jayce then got a brilliant idea, "Say, you said that when you used them, it worked how you wanted right?"
Jinx furrowed her brows and nodded.
"Well, what do you say you help me make them for what it was intended?" He asked her as he crouched to her eye level.
Jinx frowned and opened her mouth before something in the corner of her vision caught her eye. She glared at a corner of the room, "I so can!" She said.
She turned to him sharply, determination in her eyes, "I would be glad to help you."
Jayce smiled, "Alright then, let's go to Piltover Academy."
"Sure, if you carry me," the girl grinned evilly.
Jayce looked at her as if she was crazy, but she didn't back down. So he sighed and lifted her up into his arms, and off they trekked to Piltover Academy, where they would prove themselves.
