Chapter Text
There once was a boy called Misery.
Oh, how his blood coated the hills and his heart left forever beating.
As God had caused him such injury.
Everywhere he went his wants were always fleeting.
There once was a boy called Misery.
For he was cursed to live a life full of misery and pain.
God thought it was funny that life was his bane.
For he could not die, since God didn’t let him.
As God made the boy’s life so grim.
Misery was his plaything, ripping the boy limb from limb.
Misery grew to love the few moments he had.
So, he had never let death turn his heart sour.
The boy was truly good, though living a life that would’ve turned him mad.
As he enjoyed every lasting hour.
For Misery was never truly bad.
Even if he was followed by a horrible curse.
But he never let it turn him worse.
He tried to help, in many ways that he could.
But the people thought his ways were full of falsehood.
Misery had learned to love everyone, though they did not love him.
As his heart was full of love to the brim.
Even for God, the one who caused all this madness.
The boy couldn’t muster a single thought of sadness.
For he was a boy called Misery.
As his name made his life no mystery.
The boy who had love to give but no one to share.
And the boy who discovered that life was rare.
For this was a boy called Misery.
Though his name should have been Truth.
He had seen through all life's mysteries.
For a boy who was still in his youth.
